48 degrees celsius or 118.4 F, ok to run at this temperature 24X7?

Ambient or the temp sensor? If the temp sensor that is fine and expected. If you are planning to run in that environment, I'd be very careful.

The numbers are from the temp sensor/webpage. Manage to reduce another 5-10 degrees with extra CPU fans. Grin

I see the discarded is 16% of Accepted. Rejects are 5.7%.
Are my numbers correct/normal?

Thanks!

HW is also about 15% to 16%.....is my S1 frying up?
Accepted: 4187
Rejected 158
HW 731
Discarded 710

HW errors rate formula is ((HW) / (HW + DiffA + DiffR)) * 100 - result is in %.
3  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] CryptX introduces the PETA-MINE - 18,000 CHIPS IN SEPTEMBER/UPDATE on: October 09, 2013, 09:34:26 AM
Status Update

- We are still in the process of applying for a listing on Bitfunder (also looking at other alternatives like cryptostocks, picostocks, havelock).
- More info about deployment of first 20TH will follow later

We apologise for any delay in info as we are focussing on finishing assembly of boards and further deployment as fast as possible.
Comments on preferred exchanges are welcome. Our preference goes to Bitfunder, but application is taking a long time. We expect listing on cryptostocks won't take long but are not really familiar with the people behind it and if the platform is stable / trusted.

Havelock or cryptostocks.
Cryptostocks seems to have the same people behind as vircurex exchange.

Hi!

 Is Liquidcoin alive?!

Where is the latest source code URL of it?

Thanks!
Thiago

Yes - it's still alive. Mining and exchanging at vircurex.com is working well.
Binaries and sources can be downloaded from the first page of this thread.

I've added the ability to have a Coiled Coin address when registering. Those that register with this new coin can start receiving them when/if the pool starts merge mining them.

And those who are already registered must register again to receive Coiledcoins?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking Merged Mining Pool (PPS, 35G/s, BTC, NMC, I0C and IXC) on: January 04, 2012, 04:38:21 PM
i found little bug on pool:
1. Did 0.67 BTC withdraw - finished with http 502 error. Pool web was unaccesible few minutes.
2. After few minutes web was accessable again. BTC balance was still 0.67 BTC, so did another BTC withdraw. Result was the same as before.
3. After few minutes web was accessable again and BTC balance was again 0.67 BTC.
4. So i looked into blockchain and found out that both 0.67 BTC transactions were sent - and later really arrived into my wallet.

DoubleC - i own you 1.34 BTC. Sent me address to send to.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 07, 2011, 01:00:43 PM

So 13 hours later, I'm at 715,000 Devcoins.  This means I'm earning on average about half a million devcoins a day and could possibly be up to 3 or 4 million by the weekend.

Just one additional check to make sure I'm not getting too many coins.  I don't plan on selling right now given there are only outstanding orders for 11 million DVC for only 3.5ish BTC on vircurex.  Seems best to hold speculatively at the moment to see what the "devs" do for the new chain.

At current difficulty 160 and hashrate 800 Mhash - it's really on average half a million DEV per day. But difficulty is changing every block - so it's all very speculative.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 06, 2011, 06:04:12 PM
How much of DVC (from whole 50 000) per block is for miners? Isn't it 5000 DVC? I'm asking because i just found on pool.devcoin.org on stats page following data:

Block #    Confirmations    Time found            Duration    Round Shares    Total Amount of your reward
20734    2                     12/06 9:49 pm    1.17 Min    32                    5675.84134615 DVC
20734    3                     12/06 9:47 pm    2.75 Min    32                    5675.84134615 DVC
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 06, 2011, 03:53:21 PM
if only 1 share is submitted and it solves the block all payment goes to the one single miner who solved the block because he was the only miner that worked on that particular block. No other miners submitted any valid shares for that block so no other miners get paid. It is completely fair because as luck could have it , it could of been any of our miners at any given time who happen to submit that winning share first. Also the block is solved instantly so your miners just go on to working on the next block and are not wasting many shares due to long polling.

You do not see this as much with Bitcoin pools because the difficulty is so high but you can still experience it if you look around, especially at Slush's pool where he still uses his own brand of proportional payout. Especially with Namecoin merged mining, sometimes you get 0 reward for some NMC blocks because it is solved before you can submit any amount of valid share and get scored.

I understand that. But if you look to your stats you can see that 7 blocks of  last 54 block had only one share. Even at low difficulty (it's about 100) it's extremely lucky. And i noticed it several times from the start of the pools - even at difficulty 400. And times for these blocks are sometimes almost 2 minutes .

20702    1    12/06 7:38 pm    2 Min    1    4950 DVC

So it means that at pool hashrate of 1Ghash was commited only one valid block during 2 minutes?

I don't say there's anything wrong - just wondering.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 06, 2011, 03:28:22 PM
Back to balance questions:

Estimated: 1925 DVC

Unconfirmed: 328061.45397357 DVC

Total Balance: 143024.55413 DVC

soptik2, are you seeing similar balances?  Looks like we're around similar hash rates today.

i'm having this:

Estimated: 1980 DVC

Unconfirmed: 170168.99228544 DVC

Total Balance: 1198445.4249 DVC

These are higher values than yours - because it's sum of my 2 accounts (they were merged). I think that during last 24 hours pool is computing balances correctly.

But one little strange thing remains - if you look into pool block history, there are many blocks which has only 1 share - so whole amount of 4950 DEV for a block goes to one miner. During last hour - it were 3 blocks. Is it normal?

Does anyone else received following email from cablepair?

did you withdraw over 6 million DVC from the pool? that is not right
please send it back.

please read this thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=34586

If it was not you that took the money please disregard this.

I will look through the database as soon as I get some time and figure
out who did this.

Cablepair: no - it wasn't me. As i wrote in email 4 days earlier, when i informed you about pool problems, withdraw function wasn't functional.
BTW congrats to become a father.

I still haven't found any e-mail.  My account has over 3 million coins now.  Clearly this is a mistake this time around.  Based on my calculations, I shouldn't have more than half a million.

I'm still confused as to how many of the 6 million I withdrew you think are yours/mine.  Please show me some math of what you think should be "yours" and how much should actually be in my account right now.

I'm gonna keep mining for your pool, so feel free to balance it out after you do the math.  I hope it gets straightened out, but you can call off the "theif" hunt.

I recommend you to create new account on pool if you want keep mining there. I had the same problem - mined balance was somehow multiplied. After creating new account and started mining using this new account problem disapeared (so far).
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [800,000 DVC remaining bounty] for Devcoin preliminary testing on: December 04, 2011, 11:03:17 PM
Pool has started to behave "strange" some 4 days ago. I already sent info-mail about this some 2 days ago (to email tom@devcoin.org). Unconfirmed balance is still raising, it does't become confirmed after apropriete amount of following blocks. Confirmed balance is raising about 10 times faster. Withdraw function finishes with "bitcoind error - contact admin" error. I created new account to test if problem isn't only with my old account. Uncorfimed balance is raising properly. So far i don't know if  confirmed balance works well (mined only few block with new account).

I might add more indeed. I would hope others also chip in too since the value of their Ixcoins is at stake.

Any suggestions as to who I could contact who is sufficiently knowledgeable in merged mining?

Slush's pool is using merged mining for namecoins - so you can contact slush.
