Important Update:Hi All, I have just had some feedback from the team and all announcements going forward will be released on http://guldencoinforum.com first and then filtered down into the ANN and NLG news sites. We want to encourage as many people as possible to participate in the forums as the information does not get lost like it does here in the ANN. We have noticed a lot of topics and questions people have get missed/skipped and we can't get proper feedback to discussions. So please sign up on http://guldencoinforum.com, there is a Dutch and English section and together lets bring up important topics and even fun ones about how you would like to see NLG being used in the future. Please PM me if you have any questions regarding the above. Using the forums will also bring us closer together as a community and being able to help new people that have any questions  I like this very much. I've had moments over here scrolling back page after page looking for some specific info. No more! C. |

It goes to show how short-sighted most of the Bitcoin-community is. No idea what the actual implications and possibilities are for cryptocurrency. Bitcoin became lazy and 99% of the altcoins don't offer much threat to Bitcoin. Bitcoin hasn't been innovative for too long and now NLG is being hated on for a low trade volume, but nobody seems to understand that a huge trade volume is useless without a good foundation to build from. Besides that, we're talking about an altcoin that is not even four months old. 4 months old. Yes. That's right. All this good stuff you've read in the last 145 pages, has been accomplished in under 4 months. Imagine another 4 or even 8 months to complete the year and see where this coin is. Come back in 8 months if you have no faith in this coin to see if it actually went somewhere.
Guldencoin has learned from the mistakes of others and implements functions and releases software that benefit the users and the entrepreneurs, not the daily trader to pump the coin and let it die. Guldencoin will be the first altcoin in the world that will actually be used successfully in daily life as form of payment, along side being traded. And if that is for a BTC volume of 50 or 10. I really don't care. Dutch making history, once again. Because everyone else is looking at making (more) money and not the actual world-impact of a proper altcoin.
Nobody cares about a chat function in your wallet or so called full-on full-fledged anonymity. I want a coin that is fast and secure and even Bitcoin is slower and non-working half the time in comparison to the Guldencoin-systems. So anyone that hates on NLG for being a low-trade-volume coin or 'oh this is just another pre-mine dump'. Look into the actual details and the proof in the wallets, the strength and unity of this community, the stability of the price and all the updates. It has all the trademarks of an ACTUAL open-source movement. We all want to make money, but where is the f%^%@ ambition within this cryptocommunity to actually write history and become a useful and successful alternative to fiat and actually give people an option to sidestep the banks and give those banks a little less power. A coin that doesn't need a price of $600 a pop to become a success, a stable price of two bits would be enough in Guldencoin's case. An actual coin for and by the people, much clichι, but nonetheless very true.
But hey, just my two cents.

To those wondering weither the stickers especialy for the eurocoins are made, well, here's the 4000 batch we ordered. In our donations wallet there was 49600 NLG worth 17,95,- which made each sticker 0,004487808 cheaper. 158,- / 4000 is 0,0395 - 0,004487808 (donations) = 0,0350 so now 3,5 cent per sticker.  So now it's filling envelopes and sending them off. Thx again to all who donated, keep up the work guys! Cookie. |

Hi everyone,
I would like to give you some insight to our strategy and development. You probably have noticed that after the four serious merchants it has been a bit quiet on that side. Well I would like to explain why. Our vision is still the same and very clear, making sure people can use their Guldencoins in daily life. It should be the most easy and fun payment method. And we are very realistic about that. At the moment any merchant can accept Guldencoin, the tools are there. But the tools arent good enough. They work and we are very happy and lucky with those four pioneering merchants, because they help us improve those tools. Those tools are the real key, we can say its easy and quick, but merchants have to see and feel its easy and quick. It should be so easy to accept Guldencoin that a merchant can set it up in an hour and understands how it works in 5 minutes. It should be because it can be, and thats the power of Guldencoin and cryptocurrency. So we are not actively approaching merchants at the moment, but what we are doing is working day and night to make the system better so that when we actively approach merchants we have the best solution. A solution they cannot refuse.
But this is not everything. Because just as an important aspect is the community. And wow do we have an awesome community. I cannot keep saying this enough, because its what gives us so much inspiration and energy. You guys impress us and we will do our very best to do the same!
