well not everyone was present at this irc meeting and i for one and am not comfortable with the idea that a bunch of people just got tohether and voted for something. no doubt there were peopple in there from other exchanges voting without even being voot holders.
This needs to be done with a lot more transparency than it is being done already. FUrther all those put up for voting should be confirmed voot holders and have the appropriate bussiness acumen to do something like this.
So a developer must be a proven developer, a pr person must habe experience to doing PR ect.
Considering I can tell from the tones of whats being said that smoke are giving the impression that they were either not paid in full or rather came to some other agreemenrt with ms collec as to the exchange
this needs to be out in the open
either this coin is going to begin acting like a proper investment vehicle and run as a proper bussiness or we can all just pack up and go home as this community has already raised a heck of a lot of funds to get things done
+1

discussion is not the output, we have reolver the future of the currency as adults. Been waiting for answers and now smoke staff are here to resolve the future of the coin, let's focus on that.
Agreed, Smoketeam, can the let us know progress of other Voot Projects? Market and cloud?

we are still waiting on what the community wants to do with exchange. the exchange is not beta it is finished and was released on time. we told trading was disabled until we find a legitimate business person to take it over and give control to, we told this to various people over and over again. we gave the link to jefferson before the deadline so the PR team could confirm that it is completed and he could show it to interested parties. currently we have no idea whats happening with it we are unable to do anything very few have made contact with us regarding it. please have a normal discussion about the options for it and then we can have discussions.
also we received no information on what was discussed on IRC or possible solutions in any way. PR is doing a good job but we are completely out of the loop on what the community thinks.
PR Team and Foundation, the ball is in your court. What's going on?

Reckon we need to implement a "Swearing Jar" in this thread... Each time you do, tip the community..
Could be interesting.

And you gave them the bounty for a "completed" exchange?

Reply from SMOKE devs: it is custom backend so you will need us to help manage it. we do not want control of it. again we are looking for investors to take it off our hands we can do a split for the voot community and ourselves for between proceeds for funds. we need to understand who will control it and what the payment options are, you will need us to help control it and add different things. someone can buy it outright if they want and maintain in control. the options are open for everyone to get involved with it. we want price options though we want bidders and we want to secure funding for it. also maximise involvement.
What do you guys think we should do? The bottom line is, the devs will help maintain the exchange regardless Hold on, it's already paid for... Am I reading this right, that they want us to now buy it from them?

I hold about 2mil VOOT. I am willing to invest a percentage of that into the exchange for trading, as well as donate to the new competant devs, as well as invest into SMOKE team to manage the exchange. With that said, I'd much prefer we elect a collection of individuals to manage it. Not that I don't trust SMOKE, but centralizing the decentralized is sort of...wrong. We need power in the hands of a few trusted individuals rather than 1 entity.
And those individuals should not hide behind the anonymity of a nick...

UPDATE:
I just received an update from SMOKE devs.
The exchange is now 100% complete and ready for launch.
However, we as the community need to make a few decisions next.
We need to know if we're willing to elect community members who can help manage it OR if we should let SMOKE team manage it and pay them a "consultancy fee" to do so.
We are also looking for investors who may want to invest funds into trading on the exchange.
So far, trading has not yet been enabled. I am asking if I can finally share the .onion address to the public. Will update again shortly.
Finally some good news! Lets get the exchange up, pay smoke a consultancy fee from the procedes of the exchange until a voot managment team is elected

server fee is not the question
LOL server fee is a question to maintain an exchange you need a solid server infrastucture to manage the traffic , you can't build that with a 50$/month server you will need a solid infrastucture IMO if mscolec can't pay the server fee he should sell a % of the exchange to someone that can invest and sponsor the server infrastucture . The server is $40 but I have so many server on my account. However as soon as the exchange open and we have to get someone to run the exchange until it's Decentralized You joking right? You making a bigger fool of yourself each time you post stupid comments like this

So will it or won't it be added?
Is there any definitive answer to stop all this speculation? This uncertainty is what will destroy this coin.
