“I am no longer involved in that and I cannot discuss it”
I find the second half of the sentence to be extremely odd. He either misspoke or the reporter heard him incorrectly. Those are reasonable arguments, but what if he actually said it?

I'm making a play on PrimeCoin's scientific crypto tagline by inserting some humorous popular pseudo-science quotes. In fact, you could create an entire line of shirts with different quotes. BlueWhite

Thank you for your time.
You're welcome. 1. Yes 2. December 2013 3. Yes 4. Yes 5. B. Quality based. 6. Yes 7. NA 8. Tonnes. You should drop me a PM if you're interested to hear the ramblings of a chain-smoking drunk. However, I would like to highlight two points - the objectives of 9/10 alt coin devs seem to end at getting on an exchange, and development apparently consists of mainly dice games and faucets. 9. No. 10. Too vague and light. I appreciate the courtesy you displayed on both threads. Civility to strangers is a dying art.

Most of my experience w/ alt's is on exchanges, please help me understand a couple Genesis block basics. What is the "simple flow" for an IPO paid at Genesis (for example)
How do the users expecting a payment provide an address? If the wallets are posted on Github early, what stops people from mining early?
I know it will be as simple as 1,2,3 but how do devs pay people in an IPO?
Bit More advanced: Block number 10,000 (for example) can be set to pay a bonus amount, to the winning miner. Does BTC, LTC (or any project) have the current ability to code "Pay this address ____________ 500 coins at block 1,000,000?"
Thanks for your help
I'm no expert, but in the last four IPOs I've seen, the coins were mined in advance and only delivered post-launch. Of course, with Stackcoin, the launch was a bust - and the coin wasn't even developed for that matter.

its so funny that the moron douche bag that is Kanye West thinks he has a case here. LMFAO. All the dev has to say is that it has no relation to him and stick with that. The sunglasses are worn by thousands of idiots who like those dumbass shutter shades and so are they giving Kayne a bad name. Kayne needs to get off his high horse and find something better to do with his time than to go after some student. He's just going to piss off the hackers which we all know is not going to end well for him.
As far as I can see, Kanye indeed has a case. Regardless of dropping his last name in the second version of the coin, the devs used his likeness, and even used a little material from one of Kanye's video on their site early on - those are trademark infringements. But aside from all that, we all know who the coin parodied. I don't understand why the devs continue to antagonize him with their statements, knowing Kanye's character. If Kanye gets a favorable ruling in NY, he could pursue a judgement in the Netherlands*. Settlement in the wisest choice here, and I fully expect one to be reached once the gravity of the situation eventually sinks in. * Kanye might not even need to file a separate trial there. While there are no existing treaty on commercial judgments between the two countries, there is a precedent of a Dutch court awarding an American plaintiff with a judgement made in the U.S (in 2010, Louisiana-based ROYAL CHEMICAL CORPORATION was awarded damages and punitive damages against the defendents, INTERNATIONAL HOLDING BV: http://jure.nl/ecli:nl:rbrot:2010:bl8614)

I agree that there are several unanswered questions such as:[/b]
1. Why has a warning not yet been prominently placed on the site to deter further deposits?
2. What is the confirmed address that the funds were sent to, and how much was stolen?
3. Why has no warning email been sent to all registered users informing them of the security breach?
I think the first point is an extremely valid question. People who are unaware of recent developments should be made aware of what they are walking into, instead of suddenly being surprised with the inability to trade or withdraw after making a deposit. Edit: An advisory just went up on the balance page. Nice.

Thank you for all the people who took part in this contest. I will get my staff to vote which logo we should use for our new website. I will give the result some time tomorrow.
A late, late entry, Kenshin. Hope it's alright. ColorB&WLogo (stationery, business cards, web icon, etc.)

Cant the world's 6 billion support 1.3 billlion in extreme poverty using crypto coins?
every passing day I believe in bitcoin for its power to liberate the poor from capitalist world that cares less about people 'born poor'.
donate a miner to each family in poverty and support the mined 'liberate-coins' by using/promoting them in developed countries
I really feel helpless waking up everyday for not being able to execute this. How can we make it happen?
when dogecoin exists with community support, why not liberate coin...
Food production is not an issue. Global food supply can comfortably feed every man, woman and child on the planet. 40% of the food produced in the richest nation in recorded history, the United States, ends up in landfills, despite the fact that 14.5% of its citizens miss at least one meal a day. India, home to almost a third of the world's hungry (230 mil), loses over 40% of the food it produces annually due to storage and transportation issues. The key to reducing, nay, eliminating poverty lies with infrastructural development (roads, schools, hospitals, etc.), education (many African countries continues to suffer from collapsed familial and societal structure) and political/religious belief (I don't want to go here right now). The funding for the first has always been available, the commitment for the second is weak, and the support for the third comes and goes like the tide. In my humble opinion, humanity will never completely eradicate poverty. This doesn't mean we must stop trying, but realism is always the best defense when confronted with reality. Meanwhile, on this wonderful Friday, another 25,000 malnourished children will die - just like yesterday, just like tomorrow.

As many of you know, about a week ago, a hacker found a major security hole in the Counterparty protocol that enabled him to send XCP from anyone's address. He used this to send 35,000 XCP from the Poloniex wallet to himself, which he then deposited into his own Poloniex account. He then sold the XCP for 150 BTC and withdrew 115 BTC. Following that, he explained the security hole and offered to return the BTC. He has still not returned the BTC, but my correspondence with him is ongoing. Users have asked to see the correspondence and the Counterparty developers have all given the OK on publishing it, so here it is: https://poloniex.com/correspondence.pdfThere was more to his message from today, which I have not included because it arrived after the developers gave the OK. What an incredibly weird episode. A lone cleaner living in near poverty in South America hacking a reputable exchange located 4,000 miles away in N.J. If this guy returns the entire 115BTC, my faith in humanity would be greatly strengthened.

A minimalistic design with use of lighting, angles and shadows. I am tempted to add something at the top, but decided against it for now. If there is a need, we could always add some elegant artwork (olive wreathes, perhaps?) at the top.

CancerCoin is the newly developed crypto currency created to be charitable. CancerCoin will contribute to Cancer research by generating funds to two Cancer Institutions chosen by the world community. Everyone can contribute by mining, trading, donating or simply voting. To aid this cause, we will need as many strong minds from the crypto currency scene as we can get. Volunteers are welcome! Many of us have lost someone to Cancer. It’s time for us to help and find a cure for it.
...
Many people know the Menace Cancer has become but only few knows that 1 of every 4 people have their life cut short by it. With the spike in the creation of alt coins and after seeing that most of them are merely about making a quick profit, our Team gathered to build something real with the main goal of contributing to finding a cure for cancer. This coin will bring more awareness to the issue, will work as a medium of advertisement for crypto currencies and become a valuable source of funding to Cancer cure.
...
Every mined Block will generate 5% directly to the Fund Wallet These funds will be distributed towards 3 wallets. The first two wallets receiving 2% each, will be donated to two Cancer research organizations, chosen by vote in a public poll. The last wallet receiving 1% will be used for marketing and support to the building process of a strong currency.

Absolutely no disrespect intended with this post, but you really need to disclose your identity. Not on the wallet, but on your website, and here. If you don't, the issue of credibility will not go away. You will also need to disclose your professional experience to ensure that you have the necessary skillset to manage the entire operation. You also need to establish a 501(c)(3), and appoint a professional accounting firm to audit every stage of the operation. Going forward, the three person holding the three wallets must also publicly disclose their identities, and there must be established SOPs for public reviews. Substantiation and disclosure is crucial in any charitable endeavors. More than that, even if a single individual decides to seek tax exemption on the contribution to this cause, you could get into very serious trouble with the IRS and law enforcement agencies. While your intentions may be noble, always keep in mind that soliciting donations instantly creates a fiduciary relationship between you and both the donors and recipients, and consequently, compels you to adhere to state and federal laws. I apologize if this sounds harsh, but I urge you to slow down, take a step back, and speak to a qualified legal professional first before going forward. ps: 1 of every 4 people?
