It only says open alpha launched in the main post. Any updates how it is going and when it will be released?
Tomorrow how can you know that? Siri told me We'll simply skip the beta. It's overrated anyway.  Also the logo, the functions and the marketing.. Seriously, who needs all that?!? The main thing is, to get the coins as fast as possible. It's just about money, so it dosn't matter if it works or not^^ Actually Nem should have been released yesterday, but unfortunatly patmast3r prefered getting lazy than. So no one is doing anything right now. |

Listen, I have been highly critical of the way things have been handled too, but I think you have too look at the point that they are at with the coin right now. We are still pre-launch. They are fixing the log in issues at the NemForum, if they are not fixed already, try again. Don't give up on this coin. These guys are doing a great job overall, and I would be the first to say something. I will say negative things, as I have if need be. I just think you are mistaken. If I were you I would keep at the very least half of your stake. You will regret it if you "jump ship" TRUST ME +1 NEM has not even started, so far! You better should completely ignore the price right now. |

And sry. for saying that guys; but from these 155 Stakes to sell, you should really give the proceeds of min. the half of them to the promotion.
We'll have a lot of running charges there.
400 Stakes for the development are ok, but they are worth nothing, if we are not able to sell them.
I'm afraid, that these 100 Stakes, the marketing has right now, are proportional a little to undercharged for the long haul.
You can not run an apparatus like this in long term, when you have at least just 2,5% of it as budget for it's advertisement and promotion.
It's impossible to generate big money and awareness out of that. Also you won't find any great company, doing it so.
To be real economical, I would even say you should at least min. double this amount.

Thanks kodtycoon. I found these 2 threads, but I'm not able to do much there. I'm active and helping here, right from the beginning. But now the time has come, where the marketing has to move forward. We have to brainstorm and to work out a plan how to proceed with the main task, - to sell our product! You can't really do this here on a public thread (also not as a guest on trello^^). At least, the marketing will be the most important instrument we have. Therefore, I want to see what is done so far and what the plans for the future are. We'll have to work efficient, with a fix budget. But also the people have to associate something with NEM. They should remember what they have heard about and live the spirit, we want to sell them. -This will be the work, the marketing committee should be measured on. Therefor, it will be good for all of us to have different brains working together and being creative. This will help us finding the best solutions and to reach as many people as possible. Also, later we'll need some well informed individuals to represent Nem, too. They'll have to show what we stand for and to speak on different fairs or interviews, for example. Right now I could work up to ~20h a week and I'm sure, there will be a lot to do for us in the future. Involve me even more in this project! - The spirit of NEM took me and together we'll rock this! Because it is July and hot and you all are lazy, here is only one issue to be thought:
1. The logo should unify the community; it should not increase the dispersion e.g. by splitting the community into two opposite groups.
The dispersion could be avoided by a voting system which allows "negative" votes. Has such been considered?
The vote has now been thrown to the wall like a small note on the coffee room's wall: "please make a new coffee-pot after you have taken the last cup". (this note indicates something which is obvious - something similar is in the latest vote postings: it is obvious that the "brand new" logo is the winner ... )
I hoped to see more discipline in this matter, despite the summer.
It would do good if you get up and do something instead of being an armchair critic. You had all the time to come out with a serious concrete plan on the logo while we "lazily" discussed about it at great length in the last month. NEM requires people who can contribute rather that just shoot things off their mouth. That, everybody can do. Walk the talk please. Critics and discussion are contributions. It is unfortunate that rockethead does not realize that. That's just annoying, guys. Also for me the choose between the cube and the "brand new logo" was hard. But in the end, my vote has gone to the "fan". I love the grey in it and I think it's flat design will may even better fit to the flat design of the client, than the cube would. Btw.: It would be great to code the tiles in the client moveable, too. The layout of New Economy MOVEMENT should be as versatile and flexible, as the application it self. |

There's just another idea and I know I'll maybe not find many friends with that one. But every stakeholder should have the responsibility to pay another 10k units in an extra extra bank for the future marketing. This will be the most important instrument and we haven't payed much for our stakes at all. With 3k people, each spending just 10k untits, the Nem marketing bank would have another 30mio. coins, which I think would be ok for the beginning. The benefit from it in %, calculated with ~ 1mio. units, would be much greater than this 10k bucks for each person. Together with Nem early this year, this 10k would be the 2nd chance of an good investment for the stakeholders. This should be another thing we have to vote about. The markets are so flat, the price would regulate itself alone, just because the people don't have the feeling to own 1 000 000 Nem (sooooo much ), but "just" this 990 000. It will be much harder for them to sell, I'm pretty sure. |

What I really love in the fan logo, is that grey for balance & professionalism. But what I wouldn't see, is the green just for finance and development. It also (and may even more) shows the ecological aspect, Nem stands for |

From the first time someone installs/starts up NEM, there should be something ceremonial to it, like opening up the box of your new iPhone.
Exactly! Nem has to feel special right from the beginning. We shouldn't just talk about Nems technical aspects to the people, but rather more about how it will change their lives. There's much we could learn from apple, about that. It's not so important to know how a motor in a car works. The feeling you have when you drive it, is what is interesting for the costumers. Also the package of an IPhone is build like a throne for it; just to make you feel great direct with opening it up and seeing/holding it the first time. It's all about emotions. [NOT THIS @!&# AGAIN]
I hope you were being sarcastic, if not why do you think that? Haven't seen this before, too I would add eMunie into this list as well. The very interesting thing about it is its economic model and price stabilizing mechanism.
But does it work? It's still in the beta Dan wasn't be able to keep his promises, so far. Until now, there have just been problems and constantly new launch dates. The future is not in desktop wallets, IMHO, but rather in mobile, so that is the domain to conquer with good usability.
