Ok, you got it. Understood. Did you share these facts about unavaiable devs before? If i missed it, sorry, one more reason to implement a news section. Do you think i like to be annoying or that i am driven by some kind of vanity? I just vehemently demand sharing of information to keep this community connected with Badgercoin. Please make my petitions unnecessary by generally communicating important news and by doing this more regulary. Thanks for your update anyway, if you need help or funding, pm me.

 
First of all, it would be very nice if you could stop using big black or little red letters, it is very uncomfortable and even a little bit annoying to read. We understand the importance of your thoughts even if you use a normal fontsize and -color.

With all respect, i think it is you that is looking at the concept incorrectly. "Active selling" (not sure what passive selling would be) is nothing else than supply in terms of market mechanisms.

Furthermore i disagree that it would provide any incentive just to raise interest for long-term holders. What you do is simply force short-term inflation. Might be even dangerous for a currency with currently limited buy support. The problem is not the supply, people actually should use their coins even if it s for speculation. This creates volume and attracts investors.

But before any Badgercoin holder can sell his coins, there must be reasons for an investor to buy it. Do you see any indications for that on poloniex? I don t. Guess why... really, you guess, because i don t want to repeat myself again.

Although this is a good idea i strongly disagree that it would have any influence on demand. Right now, everyone has to admit: There is no such thing as a demand for Badgercoin. Less than 1 btc volume on poloniex, partly from multipool. If supply shrinks because of people bagholding the coin, no demand will rise from that fact. A common misunderstanding of market mechanisms, to my mind.

I m repeating myself, sorry, but the only thing reasonable is to make this coin more attractive by adding popular or new features. Do it or this coin will die.

Making a shop/marketplace or a casino is exactly what i d understand not to be creative. Why should anybody buy anything with Badger what can also be bought with any other currency? Why should people come gambling with Badgercoin if almost every other coin has gambling games these days. These features are good for an already flourishing community.

We are far from that and about to be delisted from poloniex if volume won t rise. There are some people still dumping at ridiculous prices, maybe the same people claiming here to be supporters of this coin. You can t stop that. All you can do, is fund killerfeatures or develop new ones. There is nothing else what can save this coin.

I'd gladly donate 2 btc to the implementation of any anonymous transaction feature or any serious new feature. It has to be done now!

It starts to get really disappointing that devs, even though we were told there are 5, are not capable of adding something simple as a regular update. This must be possible even if u guys are in full time jobs. You created a coin, attracted a community and now ... you deny progress or at least you deny to communicate it. I think you underestimate how fast a coin can die. Or you don t care. I don t care about my significant investments in this coin as much as i m disappointed about it going down. This one could have been a better one!

I m not so familiar with the sha256 hardware market. Maybe you could add other hardware as well. Also you ll have to sell at a good price and i don t know about your competitive capacity. If you can't realize high purchase volumes, you ll have to find other ways to attract customers.

It would be interesting for miners to sell their (new and used) mining hardware on your plattform. Maybe something like ebay did with classified ads, just for us miners. Furthermore you could forward offers of big hardware sellers on your site and convince them to give a small discount on sales realized by your platform.

Maybe even a Badgercoin community section is possible where we add our new or used stuff... i could add Himalaya salt and virgin wool shoes... oO And I' ve heard of some great soap. ^^

You could also let people offer their services, there is a lot of unofficial business making in this thread (e.g. promotion, escrow, settlement...).

Of course it would be best to accept Badgercoin only. People will convert to Badgercoin if your "?-percent-off campaigns" are worthwhile. If you are this Badgercoin fanatic (yeah,yeah,yeah!), I m sure community would gladly cover factorage for you. (If not, I am!) Best maybe for your business would be to accept multiple currencies. That wouldn t boost Badgercoin like in the first option but maybe you could offer an attractive discount for customers paying with Badgercoin.

Easier said than done, I know, but who knows what you are capable of?

Thx for update devs. Just an idea: If u want to feel like being backed up by community when u take the next step, make a poll. You don t have to follow community of course, but like this u get an idea about what miners and investors want most. Of course everyone has to consider badgercoins limited ressources. So maybe add estimated necessaries like "total amount of funds needed" or "ETA". Maybe it could look like this:

What should be our next steps?

a) Finish Multipool stats (ETA 1 week)
b) Implement anonymous transaction (ETA 4 weeks, Funds: 10BTC)
c) Create a stand alone-funding site to realize future developements/buy votes (ETA 2 weeks)
d) and so on!

Not sure about the time and costs of course, but this way you bring participation and responsibility to the community and u give everyone the feeling to be a part of this coin and its progress. That should help a lot to build a stronger community. Do you feel like opening up a bit with us? ^^

Damn! Sorry for that ambiguity, not intended! "Crappy stuff" was related to uninspired coins added to big markets like Mintpal and not to the quality of your soap. I don't know ur product, from what u write it has to be of fine quality. Happy to see a badger soap!

One might say, you can sell the crappiest stuff on a crowded market... maybe you are right and Mintpal brings some attention to Badgercoin, but it won't last for long and should generally not be the goal of any serious developement. Devs have worked hard, Badgercoin deserves more.

To my mind, first and most important thing for now would be a roadmap and regular update by devs. If there is a good plan for Badgercoin, miners and investors will more likely stay interested in it. No information, no confidence.

Also the community should be more involved in the developement process. Devs should let us know what they are capable of and what is out of there reach. Only then can the community discuss if and how we can support with manpower or funding.

I think implementing popular or new and unique features (as devs indicated) is essential to the future success of Badgercoin.    

Dear devs, don t get annoyed, it s not about continually challenging you guys. We know you work hard for Badgercoin and you have delivered good stuff. This coin has beneficial basic features, a cute logo, a stable multipool. There will be a new website. It s about us believing in you and a community that wants to get involved. Hope you take that as a good sign and find it worthwhile to react accordingly.

  

I'm already mining with 10MH. Problem is: Why should people mine Badger? Please consider a statement to my proposals. What can we expect from Badgercoin in the near future? Tell me if i can be of any help besides voting and mining. ^^

If you have spent some time in cryptoworld, you know what will happen to Badgercoin when it hits Mintpal. Small pump, big dump, sinking volume, LTC exile, well, and that s it.

Why should there be any constant buy pressure on Mintpal? Badgercoin has nothing but a cute logo. It needs more than this. Besides, we don t have the manpower nor will there be enough votebuys to get badgercoin added in the near future. And please forget Allcoin, there is no relevant volume.

If all you people really liked this coin and wanted it to skyrocket, discussions in this thread would be about funding new features for badgercoin. It is the only way to go. I check the Badger thread every day, but all i read from the community is "vote,vote,vote!". I m starting to believe all u guys want to do is "sell,sell,sell!". But u won t sell, if there is no reason for any investor to "buy,buy,buy!". When i tried to start a discussion about funding new features, no one besides devs answered. Is there actually someone besides them who cares?

I urge the devs once more to create some kind of regular update. Your community really deserves it to get informed and new people might join if they see something new could be added to Badgercoin or... something happening at all. 

Thank you devs for your hard work, tell us what you need to improve badgercoin (besides voting...). Maybe set up an escrow adress for funding future developement.

P.S. Is there more than one dev in the badgercoin_team anyway? ^^ I could help you with html/css and i would also fund new features.

@devs/community: Any thoughts about the funding of additional features like i mentioned above? We should discuss the future of this coin if we all want Badgercoin to survive in the rough cryptoworld.

Didn t receive any payout yesterday from Multipool. Are payouts still processed? It would be nice to have stats implemented. Right now, it feels like mining in the dark. Anyway, i ll keep supporting this nice coin.

Some other ideas:

1. Weekly update from devs to keep community informed about recent work and future plans
2. Collect bounty to pay any developer to implement ring features and darksend, the most requested features right now
3. Take fees from multipool to spend for promotion

Badgercoin needs to enhance and adapt to the innovative cryptocurrencies on the market. Only this will bring more attention to it.
