If anyone else is interested in resurrecting this coin please follow the instructions bellow and start solo-mining, with enough hashrate QCN will fork and will be on pair with Bytecoin latest code but with a much better emission curve, coin re-branding and exchange listing could follow. I tried, but how does one solo mine with the forknoted daemon/simplewallet (it doesn't understand "start_mining")? Use 'miner'. Use 'miner --help' to know how it functions. It's the same as Bytecoin. I think http://qcn.mypool.name has a running Forknote daemon, but you have to check with the pool operator to be 100% sure. We can run a QuazarCoin daemon/pool/explorer/(wallet in future) on Democats too, for 10000 DSH fee. The fee will be used for Forknote bounties. |

In light of the recent Bytecoin success I believe BCN will rise higher than other crypto and get to the top 5 on the market cap rating. Such a sudden rise could cause a lot of problems for the BCN team. So that’s why I’ve decided to build a support project for all BCN developers.

Awesome news indeed! I'm on my fourth sync from scratch, and still haven't gotten a full sync. This one's stuck at 147126, the highest yet, and will budge no more.
Built from latest forknote sources. No wallet involved; I'll add that after (if) the chain syncs.

The daemon has some ram issues on sync which makes it stuck. Just restart the daemon and it will be fine Didn't work in my case, but after trying it daily or so, it "mysteriously" picked up with sync continuation only today. Special case here, probably; double whammy with ISP glitches and my own connection problems. I'll build 2.0.4 and run that next time I restart. @slb: Add my thanks to others'. Please consider posting a personal or project donation address that uses other than Bitcoin. Btc transfers have gotten too expensive for frequent use or small sums, and somewhat irregular. Since Cryptopia wallets will be open again, I figure that in the case of Bitcoal, we could send pretty much any other currency you find handy. I added a DSH donation address. didn't they say 16million coins were created on the old chain because of that bug?
is there a way we can see how much coins there are ? anyway i think it s better off with xci2 but what happen with pre mine and people ho did not get the swap ? also everybody can mine some coins with cpu now, before guys with nicehash come in again Sync from 0 without checkpoints on the latest forknote deamon and you will see if there is a double spending. The error you will get if there is double spending is: "Transaction uses key image not in the valid domain" Hint: there is no double spending |

Does this mean xci 1 will be available for mining and trading on Cryptopia?? I cannot guarantee about cryptopia, they are informed what to update and i got reply they are working on it. You can mine xci on all available pools. To my knowledge most of them got the security fix preventing double spending quite a while ago. Mining xci was never unavailable (if you exclude the nicehash problem) |
