Hi - I just noticed my pool (https://www2.coinmine.pl/dsh/) has been removed from OP - why?

feeleep
I remove every pool which has not worked for 24 hours. Added to OP

nice work, btw what about the GUI wallet?
pwstegman is doing a great work. I expect he will finish it next week, but programming timeframes are very relative thing :S

Features is not the thing that matter. The 2 coins with the highest marketcap are the coins with less features from all. If you want Dashcoin to grow, build around it, market it, or support development here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=804330
A quality developer costs ~80,000$ per year. To think you can receive without giving is not the right way of thinking. If you made some profit from Dashcoin and you want it to develop - donate if you are not actively involved. Dashcoin has no premine, it does not take % from every block found, or have some other form of funding beside donations.

If you compare what the market leader (Monero) has and what Dashcoin has in terms of features, you will be surprised how far ahead we are. 3GB blockchain all stored in RAM is no fun for users.

We have no working GUI still. If you want to help the build of GUI you can see the funding thread. Also donate for web wallet - without donations this is not going to happen. Web wallet is a big deal. Without it Android wallet and iOS wallet cannot happen.

Hi
dsh.extremepool.org have payment problem i think, i minded 880789.00000000 and i received 319616.00000000 only been 2 days now  Undecided
Known issue with the open source pool software, magnified by the recent events. Reported to developers but no fix still. I will work on that after I see what causes the wallet problems

Currently there are no waiting transactions and new transactions should pass easily. Round numbers with no dust should be included in the blockchain within 1 or 2 blocks at the current network state. ~8% of all coins are on sell orders on Poloniex.
The pump was coordinated with a flooding attack (multiple small transactions made to prevent real transactions to pass fast). This plus 15+% of the existing coins moving at the same time resulted as huge delay.

@nrg_wolf  I will PM you to see where the problem is

xminingpool is now working correctly.

Hi guys,
The huge amount of transactions in the past 24 hours are causing delay in the transaction process. The network is adjusting and the maximum block size is almost doubled, but it is still possible a small number of transactions to not be included included in the blockchain (~10-20 transactions). If you are one of those unfortunate guys your money are not lost. You just need to 'reset' to see your Dashcoins. You can check your transactions in chainradar to see is it passed or is it still in the transaction pool. The network handled the spike in the transaction count pretty well, considering we had almost double the amount of transactions Litecoin has in the last 24 hours.

I owe someone dash and I can't pay him back nor can I send my own coins anywhere.  Dash is fooked up and I just about give up on this coin.  I have millions in my wallet that I resynced and reset and waited 24 hours per instructions a shit ton of time and I'm tired a messing with it.  Either this was intentionally done to prevent those who mined before the pump in stopping them from selling or this coin's network a just terrible.  If someone is interested in buying my wallet key worth 108 million dash but 35 Million needs to be paid back to someone else, let me know and make me a offer.  Maybe you will have better luck getting the coins out.
PM sent.

If anyone have something to add, or you have struggled with a problem which is not there, add your question in this thread or PM me with it Smiley
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DSH] Dashcoin - (true anonymity (Cryptonote), multi-signature transactions, automated source co on: October 05, 2014, 08:03:29 PM
We have more transactions in the last 36 hours than all Cryptonote currencies. The max block size will increase with time. Adjustment takes time. We have ~400 transactions in the pool currently with 5-10 transactions passing per block (every 2 minutes), so it takes time. The way to make fast transfer in the current situation is 'transfer 1' + big fee (calculate how much by seeing the transaction pool @ chainradar). Be aware that 'transfer 1' affects anonymity.

Hi guys,
Give a chance to http://dashcoin.xminingpool.com . It is a high quality pool. His owner develops a pool software used by many pools.
Both minergate and extremepool are very good pools, but we need the hashrate distributed to more pools. If this not happens a single DDoS on extremepool or minergate will reduce our hashrate by 50%

PS: A big amount of transactions has been made and currently we have more than 200 transactions in the tx_pool. It will take some time for them to be included in the blockchain.

I don't think  http://dashcoin.xminingpool.com is working. It shows wrong Network hasrate, difficulty, Blockchain Height: 64698.
It accepts shares, but pool hasrate shows 0....
I have contacted the pool owner to see what is the problem. I hope he will correct this shortly.

Is the amounts with bigger fee have some priority?
Tx with bigger fee have priority. You can check with what fee people are sending here:
http://chainradar.com/dsh/txpool
In the current situation a transaction with fee 11 should pass almost instantly.

I too have been unable to move any substantial sum of DSH out of my wallet. I have resynced the blockchain and reset my wallet and although I can always get them to show back up in my wallet, I can never successfully get them sent anywhere. Very small amounts will send, but even the larger amounts that are failing are much less that the max TX size. If I have a few 100M DSH to move, would I need to do so over 1000's of TXs?

i think at this point its limit safely is 4 million at a time. i never have issues sending that amount per transaction.

I tried down to 1M and it was still failing to send after a few hours. Now, only at <10K does it send normally. Something just seems off as in the past I have had no issues. I have not sent any DSH since the last update though. Or maybe something to do with Poloniex?

The issue is rarely with the exchange.  The most common issue is the transaction size being too large.  Decreasing the mixin, and increasing the fee to 15 DSH in your transaction will help.  Example:

transfer 0 [address] [amount] -p [payment id] -f [fee]

Also, when you mine dashcoin, your wallet fills up with a ton of inputs with not too many dashcoin, which contributes to transaction size.  The solution is to send yourself the most dashcoin you can (1-4 million), with the 15 DSH fee, and this will help reduce the number of unspent inputs in your walllet.

Nope. Still transaction is over limit size. Cant send even 1000 DSH to myself.

Just keep decreasing the amount.  Try sending a few small ones, then try a few larger ones.  It sounds like there are a lot of inputs with very few dashcoin in them.  A couple small transactions to yourself (even 200 DSH) can get rid of those inputs.

There is 10 milion coins with inputs in 300-1000 DSH. This is going to be loooong night  Cheesy
It sucks for the anonymity, but 'transfer 1' instead of 'transfer 0' will decrease the size. Be sure you use [fee] > 11 to make your transactions included in the blockchain faster. Currently there are a lot of transactions made

I sent a transaction, why is it not showing up in blockchain?

Type "reset" in simplewallet and press enter.  Your coins will be returned if they did not enter the blockchain. Hope this helps!

Would it matter if I already updated wallet to latest update?

Update - I went ahead and reset with updated wallet and the coins came back.  I am so relieved thanks you so much.

Latest update - Still have problem, coins were returned after reset but I can't send coins out.  Every time I do, the transaction never shows up in block explorer and does not reach the destination address.  When I updated the wallet, I just overwrote the dashcoind and simplewallet exe and restarted.  I'm assuming this is not the right way to update wallet?  Must I redownload entire blockchain from scratrch?

Same here. After few resets & also tried deleting the wallet.bin file now I get the error like,,

Quote
Error: transaction <786dd8b5a0ffd35977b9bf00a8257da1af68f889176101ef9c9dd0e27bdeae60> was rejected by daemon with status "Failed"

at the same time the daemon says,

Quote

I'm now getting the exact same error too.  But I can see the coins when I hit refresh.  I seems like the coins are already spent?
This is fixed usually by waiting 24 hours + reset. In some extremely rare cases 24 hour waiting does not fix it, contact me if you still have problem after that period

is there any way to monitor the dev fund dash address in a block explorer?

I was looking for that although at this time i don't think so. slb or someone can correct me if im wrong.

maybe not

https://cryptonote.org/inside#blockchain-analysis-resistance
It will be possible with the view key, but no commands or documentation are available for it at the current state.

Any GUI wallet news from slb? Huh

We've started a Bounty Thread to raise the funds to complete the GUI wallet
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=804330
It's wired that I didn't see slb's any repond to GUI wallet development.  Huh
Funding is needed for GUI wallet. The development time allocated to Dashcoin is for other things and more time have to be added if you want GUI wallet released faster.

@slb

Is it true you are involved with Dashcoin, and Aeon coin and Bytecoin at this moment?
Does one of these coins have your priority?
Thanks in advance for clarifying.
Nope, just with Dashcoin. I just actively follow all Cryptonote threads and help if I can.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Aeon coin - CryptoNight - CPU only on: September 30, 2014, 06:49:39 PM
Hello!
after which time the coin should come to Poloniex?
seven o'clock ago sent the coins on Poloniex and they have not reached what is it? or we need to wait a little longer?
See if your transaction_id is in the blockchain. If it isn't your transactions is probably rejected and you have to send again
