1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mirrax's HIGH RISK altcoin investment guide for 2016 on: May 12, 2016, 06:09:29 PM

SRY to my investment audience, but as they censor me on FTC forum, i have no other option left than deal with this stuff here.

You are right and my apologies I should never have gone into details on this thread, I have copied your post of to the FTC forum, and responded there...

I am not. I want to get rid of this money and let somebody else hold it for bounty. Unfortunately my schedule was not compatible with muddy's high standards and it resulted in this unlucky ban and scam accusation.

If this is true why have the funds not been handed over as yet? I was asked to provide a little support to the situation on the 2nd May, after it had been going on for some time prior to that, we are now at the 12th May still no funds, still no evidence that you still have the funds! You claim that my request of over 10 days does not meet with your schedule, yet you find time to poke fun at those trying to help you out of the situation you have managed to get yourself in.

Prove us all wrong and pay back the funds, we will make a public apology and life can move forward.  You have my word that funds paid into the BTC address you have already been given will be held for the bounty and no other reason.

Unfortunately this has taken way to long to finish....

But it is now finished and I have made a very quick video of it in use

The engineer in me needs to know what was used to make the point of sale device! Does anyone here know? Is it a custom PCB? Do you know what processor was used?
I don't want to give to much away at this point in the game, mainly because I'm having a couple of issue with one of the hardware components and trying to get a bug out of it that may result in things changing over the next couple of weeks. But what I will say is like the OpenFeathercoinATM I plan to make to fully open source including the case design, which for proto-typing has been made up on a £1000 3D printer!

I'm very busy with life at the moment and I'm not getting any dev time to myself but it is still at the very top of my priority list and will keep you all updated as and when developments happen.

feathercoin has a strong dev community working through some very interesting projects, but as will all of these things a lack of people makes things take longer than intended.

But over recent weeks a number of new guys have joined and things are starting to pick up again, taking some of the more simple projects and moving them forwards.

And as always the guys get together on a monthly bases round and about the UK June they went up to Birmingham and July they are going back to their home town of Oxford for another get together. Further detail can be found here https://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?/topic/7375-oxford-meet-up-26th-july-2014/ The Oxford Blue is a great little pub that does fantastic food and beer, and allows you to spend both FTC and BTC to pay your bill Cheesy

Further information will be posted here https://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?/topic/7375-oxford-meet-up-26th-july-2014/  but I will try and remember to stick updates in here as well.

This is very cool work guys, will make importing codes from projects like these https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=642017.0 so much easier Smiley

Is it going to work like bitpay ?
Thats up to the merchant!

The internal wallet will forward all coins on a regular bases to any FTC wallet address of the merchants choice so it really is up to them how they chose to trade out the coins etc...

Maybe a trip down to the Oxford Blue once the device is finished to see it in action is called for Smiley

It was born from the idea to make taking payments via crypto as simple as possible, I'm hoping that a device like this will allow a few more bricks and mortar stores to at least trial crypto if nothing else. I'm currently working on a corner shop local to me, and am hoping that I can get him to see the light so to speak.

I will keep posting updates as I have them so you can drop by and take a read, as for topic views... they are what they are but if nothing else I have managed to raise your intrest and 1 more person is better than none Smiley

Hi,

Thanks for the positive words Smiley

I haven't worked out what they cost to build as yet, still working a couple of little bugs out of the code at the moment and part of that may result in a slight change to one of the components.

Off-line mode is still under development as I have had a couple more ideas around it and how it would work, the customer can always see the exchange rate being used during their transaction regardless of the mode as it is displayed on the second screen where the FIAT value is entered, they also get to see the total number of FTC being used for the transaction on the QR Code screen so there are a couple of options for the customer to re-evaluate the purchase.

I have agreed with the Oxford Blue that they can have a device once we have closed down a couple of things for a trail, after all it was there where I spent my 1st feather coins and got the idea for this from having watched their staff struggle with a laptop on the bar

Hi Guys,

Just to confirm what Ruthie is saying....

This is going to be an informal meet-up with no real agenda being set. There will be some key players from the feathercoin community there, but please don't let that put you off as we are a very friendly bunch and will welcome anyone that comes along regardless of their chosen crypto.

We will be there from around 15:00 till about 22:30 - 23:00 depending on how many turn up and how well the drinks are flowing Smiley

This is just part of a promise we made to the feathercoin community to try and bring meet-ups within easier reach of people, and not a recruitment drive of any kind, just an opportunity for like minded people to get together.

Hope to see some of you there

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: sudden hardware errors on: March 27, 2014, 08:30:21 AM
I would say more likely to be a temp issue, take it out treat it to some nice fresh air and blow it all out and then try again. I have had this in the past when mining on a certain multi-pool! yep you read it right I had a card spitting H/W errors like mad, all I did was change the pool and the problem went away Huh
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oxford UK Meet Up. Sat 29th March, with first Feathercoin ATM. on: March 26, 2014, 11:49:46 PM
hi hilariousandco,

This is v1 of the ATM

The output is a preloaded private key QRCode voucher, that you then import into your wallet. It was taken from the OpenBitcoinATM which works exactly the same way and ported to feathercoin.

I'm looking into a v2 that will run with a camera that can scan a public key QR Code from you wallet and then make a transfer of the desired amount from the ATM wallet to the scanned QR Code public address, but I'm currently on with something else at the moment so we are probably looking at 6 - 8 weeks away minimum before it will be anywhere near ready. Drop by the feathercoin forum, where updates on progress will be posted as and when they happen
