1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make sure Bitcoin will never be banned by governments! on: August 29, 2011, 11:58:33 AM
I Honestly do not see at all this stopping "Re: How to make sure Bitcoin will never be banned by governments!" from happening if it is ever on the cards! The people who control the money supply control everything, they do not care about anyone except themselves. Sorry to be brutally honest, everything is worth a try, but at the end of the day, they do what ever they wish. To any extent

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [CONFIRMED] Australian Bitcoin Conference/Expo on: August 23, 2011, 05:58:36 PM
do get publicity!!!!

50% of the time dedicated to preparing for the conference should entail gathering media attention.  I mean like 100-200 hours of pure commitment to this and this alone.

For sure - anyone with experience handling the media that would like to volunteer some time would be appreciated -even to give us less experienced ppl with the time some tips/info? I have tried emailing AU media outlets in the past and go zero responses.

The more of a "community" project this is the stronger it will be, so far everyone involved is a volunteer Cheesy
do some stunts!! give away bitcoins, make a lottery(100x1btc, 10x10btc, 200bitcoin total, or something). make some noise, on other forums, asking people: "are you comming to the bitcoin expo in australia?"

even tv ads maybe.

just do something!! Smiley

Good Ideas, except TV Ads are just way too expensive for marketing unless someone has a spare $100,000 to $200,000 for the TV campaigns. I am sure we will get the right Audiences and also Media through our online ways, and contacts etc. I am looking very forward to the Event!

I have installed a new version of phatk kernel and I got a little improvement, from 389 to 394 Mhash per each 5850

May be a patch upgrade would be fine for this

Thats cool! how did you do that can you list here the steps? That would be really great!

lodcrappo - How are you going? I'm having many issue's at the moment with people's wireless cards not working with BAMT 0.4b, which did work with LinuxCoin, is there anything that can be done about that at all? 90% of wireless cards I came across worked with LinuxCoin but 0 so far with BAMT.

One other thing, haven't tried making a Hard Drive version for another friend but he was running LinuxCoin, converting him over to BAMT, just says OS Loading then stops. That was from USB.

MotherBoard which it's not working with is the Gigabyte 990fx UD5 board, we are planning to use BAMT with many Rigs and this board, the USB doesnt work if you know a trick or we can fix that would be good. Just about to make a HDD version and test that.

Thanks Lodcrappo!

BAMT didn't work via the HDD version with the Gigabyte 990fx UD5 board - Just to let you know lodcrappo

Yes it will over write the drive if you do it sector by sector, sorry I didn't realise you wanted to run multiple OS's.

Hi Hugolp,

I have just built a drive and we are testing now, I will report back as soon as I know if it worked on that board with a SATA HDD!

Thanks!

Maybe once he saw the posts about a bounty on his head, he got a little antsy.  These geeks are some great detectives.
this wasn't clear... the bounty will be on the hacker of my bitcoin .. maybe thats Tom Williams him self, and maybe not ..
How much $$$$$ is that bounty?

so far we have a poeple have committed a total of 25 btc

how ever we these poeple are holding on to the coins themselves, seeing how no one seems to trust anyone these days

Due to the amount of Bitcoins we are talking Millions of dollars here are we not??? I did not have any coins there, but I am willing to pledge Money, Time, Resources and I think everyone who has lost a significant amount would contribute in some way to at least try and recoup the loss! Where is it upto?
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mybitcoin.com Press Release #2 on: August 06, 2011, 02:34:24 AM
Sounds to me that this is another story to buy time, it does not make sense at all, they should still have 100% of the coins and as mentioned above by Memory Dealers any missing coins if ANY should be replaced by mybitcoin.com and also as mentioned the double spending etc, it does not all add up.

He / They are not providing a contact email or any IRC Chat for people to discus what is actually going on, by posting stuff randomly like this it seems He / They are watching the forums, and the bitcoin-police in freenode and keeping an eye on how close people are to finding out the truth and identity and real information.

Im hope everyone gets their full return of coins, this liabilities rubbish is not the problem of the depositors that placed the coins there, liabilities are his companies problem.

Hopefully this is dealt with very quickly! Nothing makes sense though!

So in other words, you only believe in Libertarian values when they benefit you?

GERKEN - You talking to me?HuhHuh

I didn't loose any bitcoins buddy, what I am saying is people are bagging out some one who was contacted by the FBI who had a major loss from this scam and you low lifes have the audacity to bag them out.

Tell me what the F*ck you'd do seriously if you lost $250K worth of an investment? Sit there crying like a little bitch and do nothing about it?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MyBitcoin REALLY is back up, with an announcement on: August 05, 2011, 04:33:05 PM
It doesn't matter if it's up or not. The damage has been done.

I'm not talking about the targii who thought they could trust some random internet guy taking their currency which has anonymity has a selling point who lost some BTC.

I'm talking about how those targii are now crying to the government asking them for help.  This will only speed up the government regulation/banning of BTC. Thank idiots. Thanks.

It is pretty funny that a community as anti-government, anti-tax, and pro-libertarian as this one resorts at the drop of a hat to screaming "BIG GOVERNMENT COME HELP US! I DEMAND JUSTICE". Bruce Wagner being the main one leading the charge.

Whatever mental gymnastics it takes for them to justify it, I guess. But this will only cause more issues for BitCoin as this opens the door for every agency under the banner of the government to get inside and start picking it apart.

@ BLOCKHASH - What would you do if you lost over 25,000 coins yourself? and get your damn facts right, the FBI contacted Bruce how many Bitcoins do you idiots have? and what would you do? Everything you could to get them back, grow up.
