i have high hopes for this BiddingPond. i really like it. it fills a need for the community. make sure you make money at it. low fees are nice. but i would hate to see this fail due to lack of resources.

88  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's in its infancy. It is genius. It is the future, on: June 29, 2011, 08:49:53 AM
You might want to hold off on mining, as others have said, unless you're prepared to invest a good chunk of money in a power-sucking rig.

run it off solar or wind!

lulz. i been researching that. seems solar power and shit is expensive to. wtf!
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin 2.0 on: June 29, 2011, 08:39:52 AM

well in that respect, bitcoin is no different than being there when google, apple, microsoft, and ibm were new -

the early birds got the worm.

anyhow....you can still invest in it w/o mining.

that is still quite easy.

instead of asking for handouts - people need to take part in the project.

put your money where your mouth is: buy bitcoins, sell them, sell goods and services for them.

93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best mining Pool? on: June 28, 2011, 02:22:00 PM

i started on BitClockers but it's a small pool and the payouts didn't seem right. i switched to BTC Guild and the payouts are more consistent - and i get far less stales (under 1%). but all of that could just be from the amount of blocks being solved so quickly. i'm happy there.
