Where is the file Jewels.conf in mac version of the wallet. I also cant find them in tha package content Sad
I've never used Mac but I found this for Bitcoin: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/bitcoin.conf
Replace with "Jewels" and you may find the directory, but you'll probably have to create the file yourself.

I don't have MAC but try looking in ~/Library/Application Support/Jewels/  and see if Jewels.conf file is there - if not just create a new file and input those things in it.

I also have the same problem.
Managed to create "Jewels.conf", can some kind soul please tell me what I should do after that to run the nodes?
I am also using a Mac.

Much thanks!

My wallet has not been syncing, found out that perhaps I need to add the following in my peers.dat file:

London: 138.68.148.172
Singapore: 139.59.228.205
Frankfurt: 46.101.167.84
San Fransisco: 107.170.221.177
do
addnode=(ipaddress)

However when I open up with my notepad it's all in gibberish.
Would appreciate some help. Thanks!

You need to add those "addnode=" lines into your omicron.conf file, instead of peers.dat Smiley

Thanks for the reply Smiley Can you point me to where I can find 'omicron.conf'?
THanks again, in advance! Smiley

More and more its looks like an abandoned project. They put eggs on it. Zero response from them.

I'm not sure where you've gotten the idea of an abandoned project, but allow me to clarify a few things,

Currently, we've started development on the networking layer of Rebirth. This month, we'll be aiming to publish a whitepaper for Rebirth broken into segments for release and review by the community. We're open to feedback and criticism and of course we're open to adapting based on new information and ideas that come to light.

We're also actively looking and forming connections with press related marketing personnel as we begin our development in 2017.
It's but a matter of patience Smiley

My Mac wallet has been 'Out of Sync' for the past many days.
Is it just me or is anybody else also experiencing this?

My Windows wallet sync and stakes fine

Found out that my wallet somehow forked.
Backed up wallet.dat & peers.dat, downloaded and resynced from scratch, now it works fine.

Devs be devvin'.

We're currently actually uploading/editing the latest Jewels Talk where we focus on our monetization plans for the mini-games, Heroes and Rebirth. Once this is uploaded, I'll post the link.

The video also goes into our plans a bit on the notion of PR as others have brought up. Our first point of advertisement / awareness for Jewels will be centered on the mini-games we're developing as well as Heroes. While we currently do have things we can show for Heroes (screenshots/videos from in-game) we're really waiting on being able to demonstrate functionality from the mini-games so we can get the most out of our PR. It goes a long way to show relevant pictures and videos to what's being developed rather than abstract art that may look nice but really has nothing to do with the product being developed.

Also, when we were reviewing the video we noticed we forgot to mention how monetization will affect the burning of Jewels. To clarify on this for Heroes, it will be using a burn mechanism similar to what we have planned for the mini-games allowing all JWL holders to directly benefit in value-increase. In other words as the house wins, so do JWL holders also win Wink. We'll have specifics on this when the first mini-game is officially launched into production.

My fav episode yet! Wink Woohoo, am excited Smiley

Market's going through much uncertainty now because of the BTC bull run, no one really knows how high it's going to go.
Relax guys! These devs are strategic Gamer-geeks, I am sure they are using this time to consolidate and plan their next 'moves'.

Devs, for your reference: https://news.bitcoin.com/spells-genesis-roadmap-launch/

This is something that ppl in the Crypto world are used to.
Essentially a press release/write up for every step forward, even something as simple as a roadmap release Cheesy

Hi all,

As Adam has just closed the D.I program on Investor Game based section, I have 0.4BTC to buy Omicron.
I'm still unclear if 0.4 BTC is able to buy OMC to receive any interest, or I need to have 10,000 OMC to get the interest?
10,000 OMC is too much for me right now unfortunately.
Is it a dividend or interest? The title of this thread says dividend and there is a difference in dividend and interest

Both,
Omicron (OMC) is a digital currency that serves as a virtual duo-interest-generating asset. For the initial interest-generating feature, coins are minted through a hard-coded blockchain functionality known as Proof-of-Stake// (>Interest).
This enables coins to generate a set interest per year, compounding daily. In the case of Omicron, the annual inflation rate is set at 5%.

For the second interest-generating feature, revenue in the form of Bitcoin is distributed to wallets holding a minimum of 10,000 OMC, on a biweekly basis.// (>Dividends)
The revenue percentage is variable, and is generated through various altcoin trading processes as well as loan interest. Investors will be required to submit their BTC address associated with their OMC address, which can be done at any time through this website or Bitcointalk, and soon through the wallet itself. The Investment Fund will be funded through an IAO where the entirety of the OMC supply will be distributed.

So this means that my 0.4BTC is qualified for the yearly payout of 5% interest but not the trading Dividends?

Both Interest and Dividends only apply when you own over 10000 Omicrons, so unless you convert your BTC to Omicron, you will be able to get neither Interest nor Dividends.
No, for dividends you need those 10,000 Omicrons. For PoS interest even 1 coin should stake eventually but having somewhat more is advisable.

Yes true, sorry. What I wanted to say was he will not get dividends holding on to btc. Tongue

The first of our jewels hangouts where Roy and I discuss the goals of rebirth, game design and the limitations of conquer and what's unique and enjoyable about it.

This episode focuses on the limitations of the combat and networking systems of conquer. The reason we are discussing it so heavily is that is what our networking prototype with heroes will focus on.

Just thinking out loud after listening to your Jewels Talk on youtube: While I really appreciate you guys being such hardcore gamer geeks, you guys really lost me 1/3 way into the talk. I am sure many of your fellow gamers would really appreciate what was discussed but you need to understand that majority of your crypto investors are not really going to understand nor interested in such nitty gritty technical details. Nevertheless, I still listened through the entire interview, and learnt a thing or two abt the game/gaming. It was helpful.

I am sure many here would agree that you guys have no lack of skills, talent, substance or vision. But what this project needs is a bit more style. In other words, you need to 'dress up' your project with a bit more flair, and try to communicate to your non-gamer-investors in very simple and easy to understand ways. Treat us like idiots. Tell us things we like to hear like why we should believe in you guys even though we don't even play games even on our mobile phones. I know you may think it's shallow, but this scenario is a case that is not unique in the wider society. Scientists and academics too need to step down from their ivory tower every once in a while and raise support, whether financially or simply to help raise awareness abt their research from among the public, who may at first have absolutely no clue (nor interest) abt what these scientists' or academics' researches are about. And most times, they will need to put on a tie and business suit to do that effectively. It's not selling out, it is basically education, and a matter of being professional. Now that you guys have raised a whole bunch of money from among the crypto community, I think you need to proceed with marketing efforts on two fronts simultaneously:

A. Continue what you are doing: explain, clarify, reach out and raise awareness among existing and potential gamers, stay geeky and technical - Knock Yourself Out!

B. Hire a company or someone experienced with marketing crypto to conduct a proper marketing/branding campaign. Redo your website professionally, pack it with content + make it super informative and looking sleek, clean and hip. Hire artists to make game related original art throughout the site. Redesign a new logo. Write a comprehensive whitepaper specifically Re:Jewels as a crypto-currency. Include whatever you guys have done so far + all the vision and dreams you have about the coin + what you are planning to do. Include a video to explain the who-when-why-what-how of Jewels, as distinct from other cryptocurrencies. Current info available about this coin is rather messy I find. With a comprehensive marketing package done like this, journalists or writers who wish to report on Jewels as a crypto-currency will find it much easier to gather information for their writeups in articles and websites as well. You may think these things are "simply" cosmetics, but you will be surprised how positively the the wider public will respond to them. Crypto peeps especially are used to these things. Truth is thousands of investors are actively seeking for projects to put their BTCBTCBTC into everyday. These marketing efforts as I have mentioned are designed to raise the market capital of $JWL as a crypto currency, making investors want to head to Bittrex (and hopefully soon Poloniex) to buy some $JWL after visiting your website, reading your white paper or watching the video. We not only need to know how serious you guys are about gaming, we also need you to pitch your projects and vision to us so that we + many more others, would want to continue to support you. I will say it again: Marketing and branding is not selling out, it is basically educating the public as effectively as possible, and a matter of being professional.

I have been talking with Roy on Slack and know you guys already have many of what I mentioned in point B in the works already. I just wish to put it out there for future reference and for others to read as well. I want to see if the rest of the Jewels community agree with me. I have, and still believe in this team and your projects, and am very keen to see the progress this coin makes in the next few months. Onwards and forward!  Cool
