I recommend the project to a friend and advised him to download the wallet app to start with some VITE airdrops. He did so (Android wallet). Today he asked me why the app is asking him to allow access to calls and video chats when requesting airdrops by clicking on the button in the app. I could not answer that question because I used iOS and it was not asked here. Could it be that this is a bug in the software? I think it's strange if a wallet app wants to have access to the call functions.
This is used to prevent fraudsters, those who will change their imei / id to get an unlimited number of airdrops.

I love the concept.
The only thing that worries me is an architecture that is based on EVM. How much does this make the project dependent on development of Ethereum?
Thinking about business, it's never very good to depend on the development on a competitor and VITE is a competitor of Ethereum.
Can someone from the team give some feedback on this?
Vite also has a virtual machine, however, we are very different from Ethereum. First, we have a asynchronous architecture, whereas Ethereum is synchronous. Second, we use DPoS algorithm, which is very different to Ethereum's proof of work but more similar to EOS. Our smart contract programming language is called solidity++, which is 90% competible with solidity. The resaon of having solidity++ is Ethereum has the biggest developer community. We want to eliminate barriers for developing Dapps on Vite. If you have the programming language solidity++, does that mean you extended the solidity and made some improvements? Yes, correct.

Fantom claims it is world's first DAG based smart contract platform. But i can see VITE already has smart contract in testnet and in the developmental side fantom is behind in comparison to VITE.Although both project's roadmap says mainnet will come in Q3.Does vite have plans to gain the first mover advantage(DAG+Smart contract)?
We don’t really follow other projects and with what speed they move, we prefer to look after ourselves and fulfill our goals and objectives. Vite builds its ecosystem and development in all directions is important for us.

When was this project added to Bittrex?
Have the team been working closely with the Nano devs to help refine the DAG protocol?
- VITE was listed on the Bittrex on 15/01/19 - We do not work with Nano.

This is my first time hear about VITE project, seems to be so different from other projects in DAG-based networks. I think i have a lot of questions to ask, but i prefer make my own researches before posting. According to an topic published two days ago in Grin-forum, the decentalized exchange Vitex and the wallet will be released on first April, and Grin coin will be listed with other stable coins. The publisher claim to be from Vite Labs. But didn't read anything here about the sheduled progression. In the same topic, i found a nice comment which i want to share with you elevan If I get this right, you have an ETHEREUM like system with an EOS like governance structure and multiple tokens like NEO. This combined with RIPPLES supply distribution based on IOTAs tech to create a WAVES like DEX in order to import MimbleWimble coins like GRIN. Is there a founder reward like in ZCASH at mining Vite? I would like to hear from managers here because users here in bitcointalk are, in my personal opinion, trustworthy and helpful. Hello, please check our latest Bi-weekly report https://medium.com/vitelabs/vite-bi-weekly-report-4ccadb0d6d69 there you will find confirmation that the Vite IOS wallet has started supporting the GRIN. Vite will have Zero fees for transactions as I understand? How many TPS you expected in mainnet? With zero comissions competitors can make a ddos attack? May be better to have almost zero comissions (something like 0.0000001 VIte per transactions?)
We require zero commissions, but in Vite system, transactions consume quota for exchanging computing and storage resources. You can get a quota in two ways: - Run POW. Proof of Work, used to prove a certain amount of computation has been performed. - Staking. A quantity of VITE tokens in the account are frozen and cannot be spent, for quota in return. The best way to get a sense of our performance is via playing with our wallet https://wallet.vite.net. So for making transaction I will have to have some amount of vite coins? How many coins will be needed for this? And what about staking? Is there will be opportunity to get some rewards from staking Vite coins? For example voting for masternode candidates etc.? - 10 VITE is minimum and likely to be enough. - Yes you can Vote for the top 25 Supernodes (SBP's) and get reward from them. At the moment, only Swiss Vite and Vite_SBP01-05 give reward to voters. They pay same amount of reward.

Since I upgraded to v1.2.2, my node is always running awhile before is stops because out of memory. I have 1024mb and I did not have the problem on v1.1.1. Does someone else face the same problem?
