The future of Datum, down down down down down and delisting and zero trade and dead shitcoin.
No-one will use what they produce, ever, period.

Datum is a product management failure, good product management would result in positive results.

Datum price will always go downwards until either the price hits the bottom or the volume goes to the bottom because fundamentally no-one needs or wants what they have.

How so? What assumptions do you question? The general idea seems to be viable imo. The crypto-economics are wrong. No-one wants a new database that only stores user data. No-one wants to get paid to see advertisements. well, I for one would use such an offer if the rewards were high enough. also, it is not only about watching ads. "The reality is that one of the most popular decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ethereum network, CryptoKitties, has only a few hundred daily users." - yes no-one cares about Dapps. A simple fact to observe. "However, the adoption of blockchain technology is lower than expected; " - not exactly, we are now entering into a period where only those things that are really used will survive, part of the normal tech cycle, Dapps are not important. There are many other blockchain technologies which are being adopted other than Dapps. Now is the right time for value investing in those things which will survive. “I don’t see [the next wave of growth] happening at the moment. Those users who do use it are after the DAT coin and are scamming the system. There may be a small sub-set between scammers and normal people who might care but thats a small overlap of two larger sets of people. People are time poor and don't care - more people don't even use more than 5 apps on their phone from week to week, they definitely won't use the Datum app. People don't switch between 50 apps during their weekly life, they just go back to a few small ones which do what they want, ie, whatsapp, banking or whatever. Datum app won't fit into that sub-set of apps. Its fundamentally unworkable as presented by Datum. "We can’t get Facebook and Google to change the way they store their users’ data,” Haenni said. “What we are basically doing with Datum blockchain platform is building an infrastructure where developers can properly get access to your data, in a way that the user maintains trust and control over it.”" - Firstly no-one cares, on the one hand it sounds idealistic that developers can use this to get access to user data in a nice way where users will have control but without user data then developers don't want it and you can't get user data without developers, its a chicken and egg problem. You need one before the other. You either need data OR developers before you can get the other. Why? Because you can't have a build it and they will come attitude. If you look at other businesses such as https://www.swipecrypto.com/ you can see they have managed to get user data by partnering with a swipe screen, the swipe screen which already had user data can feed that data into their system, the chicken and egg problem is solved. That's called a razor and blades business model https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Razor_and_blades_model - one thing is a cheap commodity, the other is the value. The vast majority of what is said is sales stuff and doesn't matter its all fluff, and where a solution is presented its really unworkable. There are solutions to this problem but that's not it, I'd love to see if they get it and see the solution because there is a real solution and its kind of obvious. I hope somebody from the team can refute these allegations otherwise the community might perceive it to be true. Hopefully they can prove it wrong. Imho. No-one from the team will because obviously they appear to NOT have any community managers anymore and why is that? ... ahhh... maybe no more money? |

You wouldn't, you wouldn't have enough free time to waste doing it - this has already been tried in the past. They used to give out free computers if people were willing to watch advertisements, what happened is that people scammed that system, the scammers were higher than the real users, it doesn't work out. There no way any of what Datum is doing can work out due to the bad actors who will game the system., ie, the people who care don't matter and the people who matter don't care. The people who matter, the people Datum want's are too busy with other things, like doing their PHD or something else. |

Its true they admit its false advertising, they say you get 1TB free storage on their medium article but they don't give you that unless you follow all their steps, install their app, send referrals to facebooks friends, they only give you a small amount first and then let you have more when you do all their steps, none of this is mentioned in the medium article. Looks like the Datum coin is being bot traded until it looses all its value and goes to zero, as bitcoin is going up, Datum is going down. Not the same with other coins, there's now no relationship between it and bitcoin.
7 days ago it was 895eth now 763eth (with lots of 0.00000 in front of those values).
no human being is going to buy this coin if they look at its past performance and if they look at what Datum does because its always going down and their mobile app has low users as according to play store.
That's because most people today prefer to hold Eth or BTC tokens rather than DAT, besides that DAT tokens still have a daily transaction volume of $ 140,421 USD and have good exchanges, now it depends on how the team will provide good updates to make hyip. Look at its position, over 800th position on coinmarketcap.com, its dropped from somewhere like 300 or so, its not because people prefer to hold Eth or BTC rather than DAT its because Dat hasn't released anything people want |

Is there any project updates especially on its development? I guess the community would love to hear any information and good news coming from the team that could inspire them to further support this project.
I can summarize what you can see in the public sphere after approx one year of time since their ICO start. 1) They have a mobile app "Datum Id" with "500+" users on Android as the android page shows https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.datum.id2) They have a API which who knows how many people are using, could be none, could be some, but unlikely to be many due to the network size and number of data items stored in their network increases so slowly per day 3) They have a test network and a mainnet launched Sept 3rd https://blog.datum.org/datum-mainnet-launch-announcement-15529c1599e54) They have a very low number of nodes in their network as you can see on their network explorer https://explorer.mainnet.datum.org/5) They have a coin which is less than one pixel in US dollars from zero on coinmarketcaps graph as compared to its height of 238 pixels, if you like to count in pixels on the screen 6) Their coin is ranked at 786 on coinmarketcap now That's the current status as you can see publicly. You can make your own inferences from the facts as given. From a results driven point of view, the results of whatever they are doing seem poor. |

Datum, your not the first people to make a S3 API to a Data store, there's been many many over the years and many many failed, I've seen many fail, do your research and know why, otherwise your just doing work for no reason.
I think it would be better if you could provide the community with a factual data about your allegations otherwise it could be interpreted that you are just in to make fud on this project. The development of the Datum project has been very good, in the last month Datum has released its product, Datum Storage, this is like Cloud, I appreciate that, but we need a new exchange It's true, however, that all of course is inseparable from his team who always work hard for sure and we have to give credit to the team because without them I think the development of the Datum project will not be like this How has the development of the project been good? what specifically is good? |
