3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wish I didn't dump at $2000 on: May 15, 2017, 04:57:15 AM
too soon...

yup maybe you'll get more and hold on to it this time? i think it would be a good idea anyways... you'll see more profit in the years to come if you can be more patient. hold onto the next batch long enough to see $20k/coin thatd be a profit. just try and forget its there and try not too remind yourself to often until a few years then itll just be there and itll be like what?! im rich?!? and it wouldnt even be expected like that.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where can i buy bitcoins? on: May 15, 2017, 02:40:44 AM
Hi bitcoiners! does anyone know where i can buy bitcoin with credit card or paypal at the lowest fees as possible... thanks!

Hey Vilrex! i recommend steering clear of paypal purchases of bitcoin as many *individuals* will reverse the paypal funds. i know you are buying right now but do not sell to any individual using paypal. coinbase is your best bet to buy btc with a credit card if its available to you and coinbase is also the best bet to sell your btc through paypal too as its not an individual buying your bitcoin but coinbase itself. remember to escrow if at all possible with all trades and if you dont use escrow make sure that the trade is with a person who has a good reputation to protect.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: May 14, 2017, 01:49:11 AM
Hi, I find viabtc transaction accelerator in the forum, I entered my txid in the first minute. Should be the top 100 input in the hour, but after 45 minutes, my transaction is still not accelerated. Do you use it and is it really working?

in my experience viabtc accelerator has worked everytime even if it takes a few reminders... when you hit accelerate and it isnt confirmed within the hour then go back and enter txid and hit accelerate multiple times( 4-5 times) then wait up to an hour and it should be good to go. if not just rinse and repeat and eventually you'll come in at a time when it can locate a block for your transaction. prevention is always better then a cure though so don't skim on the transaction fees yo. i usually make sure if im not using coinbase which recommends how much to use( i usually go with that when using coinbase) i set atleast 0.65 - 0.7 mbtc as my transaction fee. it also helps if you don't use a mixer.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: May 02, 2017, 05:16:19 PM
I was just your average joe really, I did not know anything about Bitcoin, I just wanted a get rich quick scheme but I ended up getting a whole lot more then what I asked for. Before the time of me finding out about bitcoin I had a normal job at a package handling service, but the timings had given me too much stress and I could not bare it anymore so I quit. I thought bitcoin might help me out and it sure did. I did invest into some ponzi/hyips but I got lucky on some and managed to get my money plus extra back. I also was gambling a lot and made quite a lot of profit from that.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: May 02, 2017, 04:38:39 PM
Well bitcoin is my life, I think that I simply cannot live without it as most of my assets are in the Bitcoin form. I myself believe that bitcoin is the future and I think that there will be no more fiat money by 2030, I also think that it can make me easy profits and a steady income with investments. If bitcoin does not succeed in the long run I think that I will be homeless so I can also say that Bitcoin is my hope and I am trusting it with all I have. Then again bitcoin is also a great way to not pay taxes and I can also gamble with it without needed to go to high lengths.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: May 02, 2017, 03:16:42 PM
There are too many ways to state them all in this one post so here goes my list.

Using PTC websites (paid to click)
Using GPT websites (get paid to)
Using Gambling websites and trying to get up to a decent amount by using their faucets.
BTC faucet websites (takes a real long time)
Lending coins with interest (make sure the person is trustable)
Trading
Sig Campaigns
Finding a job
hacking people? (not recommend)

these are just a few and some of them are risky ways but If you have patience, then you are sure to make some money.
Good luck!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: May 02, 2017, 02:52:17 PM
Well I had the storjshare client and apparently for every 1 gb people have used out of your allocated space then you would get around about 1 Storj coin in return(got this from a mining youtuber). I had around 2 - 3 gb used and I had not got the storj equivelent, I know that it would not specifically be exactly 1 storj for each GB but I did not get any coins after waiting a month. However the initiative of this is very good and I think that this will get more and more popular hopefully. If there are any answers to my query I would highly appreciate it if you respond.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: earn money with lending btc?! on: May 01, 2017, 09:11:14 PM
what you guys think about lending btc through poloniex or other sites? the rates are 0.5-2% atm per day so pretty decent. are there any other ways of making income with ur btc?

Well if you are patient and fine with those rates then why not? But I think that you should be checking rates before you try lending on these sites as there are many more websites which have better rates. Also if you would like to earn more income with the btc you already have then you can do various things including: Gambling, Playing on online btc casinos etc., Trading, Investing : In assets or hyip/ponzi sites (not recommended unless trusted website). You could also use cloud mining sites or even buy your own miners with the btc you already have although this is not as profitable as it was 2/3 years ago. Good luck with your lending etc.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Indian Economy at all-time high! What you say..? on: April 29, 2017, 02:59:41 AM
So today is the remarkable day for Indian Economy.
Indian Stock Exchange closed at all time high 30,135, first time 30k+. Moreover, Bitcoin crossed $1400 in domestic market of India.
So how you all guess Indian Economy in coming future. Is it going to be the new super power on international frontier? Does India seeing its best government ever?
Waiting for views....

I think that after that black money crackdown with the Prime Minister of India taking out the 1000 and 500 rupee notes the economy of India was in pretty deep trouble. But now the situation although isn't a lot better has at least improved a bit which is probably why the stock market has hit 30k+. There is a lot of renewed optimism in my opinion, even though they had to wait a long while for the cash to arrive.

It's projected that India will exceed China in population in a few decades, meaning that even if it isn't a superpower it will have the world's largest labour force. As Jherek above me said, it'll really be a tough job for China to catch up to India once the Indian population exceeds China's.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: April 29, 2017, 01:58:32 AM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

Do not ever invest anything that you can't afford to lose - that's the same as everything.

Especially bitcoin, it is a high risk investment. How much risk? Well, just look at the recent history of bitcoin price. You'll see bitcoin prices going +100 dollars or -100 dollars in a few hours, sometimes even more exaggerated.

I'd say that keeping $5,000 in bitcoin won't hurt.

It'll serve as a hedge against fiat currencies collapsing, and even if bitcoin goes to $100 a coin, you won't be losing out on that much.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your best strategy to determine if the coin will be profitable? on: April 29, 2017, 01:51:20 AM
Hello,

Please guys help us newbies to start trading by not wasting time on bad method to determine profitable coins.

What is your best strategy to see if the coin will be profitable or not?

I am not telling that there are steps which guarantees if the coin will be profitable, but just asking what steps you using?

I saw that good method is to read news, forums about particular coin, but which websites to check, what should I look in the articals, news?

thanks

The best you can do in my opinion is to make sure that the team behind whatever the coin is is actually legitimate. The more public they are with their team the better because it means they are comfortable with putting their actual real life reputation on the line for the project, and if they know that it's going to turn out to be a unprofitable or scammy project then they will still anonymous.

Most ICOs out there are for the sole benefit of the founder, little of the funds actually goes towards promoting and developing the coins but a lot of the funds collected through the crowdsale goes straght into the founder's pockets. Look for clear roadmaps.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 29, 2017, 01:10:08 AM
Not only for me but for many people bitcoin is freedom. Bitcoin is the money without asking banks give you the right if you want to spend it and where you want to do that. With bitcoin you are the bank and the customer at the same time. If all the above is not revolutionary then what is it?

Spot on.

I think that bitcoin is an idea more of a currency - it represents that there is no need ofr a central authority for the whole world to work. If bitcoin is a financial network can be run without any intervention from anyone, then surely the government is quite unnecessary.

It is definitely not the best cryptocurrency available with the most functions, but it is the first. It was the coin that led the cryptocurrency revolution. And the altcoins merely followed suit.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 29, 2017, 01:02:45 AM
Hi guys!
It's often discussed here that you can't make any money from gambling, but in general it's just not true. House edge is usually quite low so the most of the money go back to players. Of course some one wins more than he bet, some one wins less and loses in the end. It's all about luck. I am sure that the most of you was lucky at least once and made some nice money. So my question goes here: How did you spend this money? Did you buy some presents for your close ones? Did you buy something for you? Did you invested it, saved it or even put back into gambling (and then made even more or lost it?)?
Share your stories Smiley)
Cheers,
OshiHugo

To be honest with you, I don't win much.

When I do, usually I gamble away the remainder.

I think that most gamblers are like me, they really can't control what they do when they enter a casino whether online or offline. Even if they make a few hundred bucks off their gambling they still won't stop. Sometimes though, I do gamble, make a profit or hit my goal and withdraw to buy something that I wanted in the first place. That's a very rare occurance though.
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.ag Robbed Me. on: April 27, 2017, 09:39:48 PM
Hello Everyone i just wanted to share a little story with the community. Here recently i started playing online poker again at betcoin.ag. Well i went to login and realized i had forgotten my login info and went to make a new account. Well later that day i was playing on the new account and was in the daily coin 1 btc GTD tournament running pretty good and ended up getting 2nd place for $300.00. Went and cashed out $250 and left 50 to play with the next day. Woke up next day and noticed my cashout did not arrive. I checked my account and could not log in, so i went on live chat and they told me i was banned and my funds was taken from my account by management. Please Everyone beware if you are playing there. I always trusted them and never thought they would go this low to steal my funds. I have since then been unable to get my bitcoin. They seem to be doing allot of shady stuff to people recently, not paying out tournament tickets and keeping peoples bitcoin. Please be very carefull with your business there !!!!  Cry

They banned you probably on the suspcion that you are using multiple accounts to abuse tournaments and giveaways.

You should really contact them right here on bitcointalk though and see what they can do for you. They haven't had the best reputation on bitcointalk though, if i remember correct they are in the red at DT2 for previous shady dealings.

Always be careful when playing with 2 or more accounts. Their terms and conditions probably prohibit that and if you are dealing with a dishonest admin somewhere then they are likely going to be using that as an excuse to not pay you out.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: A Federal judge in new York has not recognized bitcoin as money on: April 27, 2017, 08:22:06 AM
A Federal judge in new York has recommended to cancel the charges of money laundering on local business based on the definition that Bitcoin does not fall under the definition of money. Instead, the judge Hugh B. Scott ruled that Bitcoin is more like a commodity. While he noted that Bitcoin might one day become so reasonable that it can be considered as money, Scott suggested that he currently has more in common with collectibles such as trading cards and other novelty items.
The case involved a 31-year-old man who allegedly sold Bitcoins for $13 000 to the agent in an attempt to launder money and distribute drugs. However, the interpretation of Scott was adopted by the district judge of the United States Charles Siragusa, who expressed skepticism about the possible consequences.
This is a controversial issue, so lawyers for the defendants said that they will try to withdraw the petition. In this situation, the protection refers to the scepticism of Siragusa as a defining factor in their current strategy. Lawyers of the defendant also stressed that their client is in no way connected with the so-called darknet market and just traded Bitcoins, like other trading "baseball cards, stamps or coins."

Well, that was some luck their for the defendant.

IF i was the judge and i just bothered to read over what the hell is bitcoin about for 1 minute before I made the decision, i would have stayed with the money laundering charges. Perhaps the government just wants to keep bitcoin not legally defined as currency, i don't know.

Bitcoin is a commodity, sure. But it's definitely not trading cards. It has much more potential than trading cards, and it's not a collectible. It's much more liquid and easy to trade across the globe. No way a trading card can serve what bitcoin is doing right now.

Japan already said that bitcoin is a legal currency, when will USA say that?
18  Economy / Services / Re: 1k$ daily - free tutorial on: April 27, 2017, 08:07:54 AM
Hello,

I'm still offering a tutorial with how to win 1000$/daily without gambling your money at all!

For more information add me on skype: world-exited

99.9% sure that this is a scam.

It is probably something that you need to put a lot of money in, and obviously either the site is a scam or he is just going to tell you to do random things on the site just to get his share of the affiliate commission.

I don't think it's a good idea to contact this guy at all, he might get you sucked in.

Really really beware.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is not Ideal, it represents possibilities. on: April 27, 2017, 07:42:36 AM
Three years ago or two years ago, if you asked me what Bitcoin is, I’d tell you it is the future of money. It is managed by the network, not by the government. Plus, it is private, anonymous and fast. It’s just perfect!
And Bitcoin is proved very successful. But it has inherent risks like anonymity, hacking,51%attack, double spending. Stop imagining bitcoin is perfect. No coins are perfect. I’d say bitcoin means more about possibilities, possibilities of expression of value. Before, I’ve been taken it for granted that the government should control currencies. But now I’d like to take a moment to think of the question:
“What is the nature and origin of money?”

It is definitely not ideal.

For one, the confirmation times are obviously a lot larger than it was like 3 years ago. There are scalability issues and there is obviously a lot of debate going on currently regarding how that issue should be handled.

However, ideal money is completely imaginary. There will never be a currency that is perfect in every aspect, as some aspects of money are actually contradictory to each other and cannot be achieved at the same time.
20  Economy / Services / Re: Making 500$/Day method, No bullshit, With Escrow ! on: April 26, 2017, 05:07:14 AM
I'll not make a good looking theard full of bullshit, lets go straight to the point
I will be selling this for 5 People

Its a greyhat method, wich i i guarantee you a minimum income of 500$/day

The price for this will be 700$/person Bitcoin, the coins will be held by a reputed escrow of your choice from bitcointalk  , untill you make the money back using the method, then the escrow will release me the coins, this might take maximum 48 hours

The only questions i can answer so i dont say much about it :
Is it saturable ?
Yes, the number of people doesnt influence it, but time does, so expect it to be completly satured in 2 to 3 months

Why do you sell it ?
To make more money.

Can you give me the method for free and i give you the profits ?
absolutely, NO ! i trust no one here for this kind of stuff

Is it Whitehat ?
its not completly whitehat, but its far away from blackhat, and it contains nothing imoral

My Skype to deal : https://hatscripts.com/addskype/?live%3Alemourien1

Or add me manualy : live:lemourien1

I'm not into this forum at all, so add me skype is better than posting or sending me a PM, i'll reply instantly

The whole escrow deal is a good initiative but there is a high chance you will be scammed. Once the escrow receives the coins from the buyer and the buyer receives the method, there is no way for either you or the escrow to prove that the buyer has made their money back (which would prompt the escrow to release the funds to you). The buyer can easily lie to the escrow and say that they didn't make any money with your method and the escrow would have no choice but to return the coins to the buyer...

It's still seeming to be too good be true to me though. Waiting for someone to buy a copy and see what happens.
