2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Kamari: A world of gaming and payments united without borders. on: June 04, 2019, 12:38:57 AM
"After an incredibly successful IEO, the first project ever on ZBG Launchpad, we’ve been working behind the scenes, building out our team and forging some incredible partnerships that will play a pivotal role in our project moving forward.

Towards the end of April we announced the first public partnership of Kamari with a fantastic project called Kinect with the goal of funding HIV Programs and support UN Sustainable Development Goals in Africa. Together our two projects will be working towards building lottery programs that fund and ultimately increase awareness of HIV in local communities across Africa.

In the background, we are working hard to forge crucial partnerships with some of the biggest and most important blockchain projects and organizations in our space. We’ll share more as soon as we can"

same question, they need game company to support this if yes!

Is this a procet where you can ply games and win coins or tokens?

Kamari has plans to develop Africa’s first interoperable, decentralized blockchain ecosystem to ensure mass adoption by ordinary Africans. The platform
will support multiple digital currencies and smart contracts, all accessible by smartphone, that has huge cost and profit advantages through purchase aggregation and disruption of prohibitive centralized interest rates. Kamari will enable cross-border transactions for the first time in hundreds of years.

The Universal Protocol Alliance, a coalition of leading blockchain organizations including Bittrex International, Uphold, Brave, Cred, Blockchain at Berkeley, Bitgo, and CertiK  ambition is to help decentralized ledger technology achieve mainstream adoption as a universal method for transferring value over the internet. The project addresses two major challenges facing the blockchain industry:

  • The lack of a common language required for optimal innovation and mass adoption.
  • The lack of conventional user safeguards characteristic of mature financial markets.

Their first token (launching very soon) is the Universal Dollar (UPUSD), a USD backed stable-coin that allows holders to earn up to 7% annual return simply for holding the token.

6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ETF and Bakkt will have effect, but BTC halving is the main deal. on: January 07, 2019, 09:00:04 PM
Adoption is key, even if Bakt and Eft happen tomorrow it doesnt mean anything until people make blockchain a daily feature in their lives in some aspect. Not everyone mind you, but it does need to begin somewhere.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hardfork - what you need to know! on: December 31, 2018, 01:32:26 PM
There will be a hardfork on ethereum this coming January 14-18.

There will be no split. It's just an update/upgrade.

Be careful when someone asks for your wallet.

No free coins!

Has anyone information about how the Fork went on the Testnet? last I heard it failed back in November, heard nothing about it since.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I earn My 1st Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2018, 03:16:01 PM
Keep an eye on Coinbase, they are starting a "Earn while you Learn" initiative... so you can answer questions on crypto and get rewarded with crypto. At the moment it is only open to 0x but will be open to more coins/tokens at later stages.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Humble crypto investment beginning on: December 28, 2018, 03:14:26 PM
Agreed, no need to run before you can walk. I think many people feel the more they learn about the industry the more they will invest into it, but start small and let that process take its natural course.

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when you say whales, who on: December 20, 2018, 03:19:44 AM
Whales can be someone one who had invested quite a lot of money in crypto, when it was still very early stages. As a result their wealth has ballooned over  the last few years, even if crypto is a fraction of it was at its height these people are still well in the green.

There isnt really a "who" its just a subsection of people invested in the sector. Each coin has its own set of whales that may be only relatable to that coin/token and are not considered a whale in anything else. For example, someone who got in very early in an ICO or someone who has been accumalating BTC over the last 10 years, just cause they are a Whale in the token or BTC doesnt mean they are a whale in the other.

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it okay to trade on telegram? on: December 18, 2018, 07:14:00 PM
You and the party you are trading with do not need anyone else, and can work via Telegram or whatever. However you are taking on risks that could be avoided using a licensed exchange.  If you do it yourself and someone rips you off... Well, you have no recourse to get your money back. So if trust is an issue, use an exchange.

I recommend to trade with people on Telegram only with people who you know personally, and you are sure they won't scam you.

On my experience Telegram is so full of scammers that I strongly suggest against doing any trade on it with unknown people.

If you don't want to use exchanges to avoid giving your personal information, then you can choose from any exchange that doesn't require KYC (for example Cryptopia)

Edit: added bolded text

I have seen some legit groups on Telegram where members of the Team of the project will offer escrow, this is about the only case I would trade with a stranger.

Otherwise, I agree with you 100%
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it okay to trade on telegram? on: December 18, 2018, 07:04:12 PM
As I know scam on telegram pretty much, how to recognize this?

If the scam is too good to be true (good bonus etc...) or if the scammer asks for you to make the first move/insists you use trade using a 3rd-party service he "knows" then you can treat that as a "Better safe than sorry situation" and leave it alone.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain or crypto jobs for total newbs? on: December 18, 2018, 06:19:25 PM
