1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: June 08, 2023, 12:26:57 PM
Only do it with the amount of money that you could ignore for a long time, don't try it with your whole savings since we are not sure about the future.
I am not saying that it wouldn't be profitable but what if something unexpected came up when the price is still low and you badly needs the money, it would just force you to sell it even if you're going to take the loss.

Is preparing for life when you get old like preparing for death while you are young Huh Grin

Cool
LOL this already made my day.
I think this is similar to "many people die at 25 and aren't buried until 75".
I feel those quotes and the word that you've used because it is somehow true for most of us.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin sun is now the Hero in crypto world on: May 20, 2021, 09:43:05 PM

How about if you see the latest news of what Justin Sun upon purchasing a lot of bitcoin? The owner of tron and BTT just purchased bitcoin during the dip. That's a genius decision that he has ever made. That's $150M worth of bitcoin.

https://cryptopotato.com/bought-the-dip-justin-sun-buys-150-million-worth-of-bitcoin/

Now I see why Justin Sun is a hero in crypto world because he bought up Bitcoin when it was low and help it recover LOL.
And for OP I think you have forgotten that it all started with Bitcoin?
It was the first ever cryptocurrency that succeeded and I think without it there wouldn't be alt-coin?
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: May 19, 2021, 09:03:31 PM
No I never did believe on him when the topic is about crypto,
I think he is just another newbie in crypto that happens to be one of the richest man on earth so whatever he says about crypto are being taken seriously by newbies.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This isn't the first time the dip has happened on: May 18, 2021, 07:13:10 PM
The market corrects whenever it reaches the point where people are buying and selling based on tweets. Those corrections didn't matter a year or two later. Bitcoin is bigger than any individual or corporation. How many posts have we made where we "should have bought" something for $200 or $1,000? Is it really $3000? a thousand dollars?
These dips don’t matter, either you believe in bitcoin long term or you don’t. And if you're going to sell anything based on one man's tweets, you might as well purchase something else.

HODL
If I am not mistaken the market correction occur when we have a sudden price increase or strong up trend.
And those past correction matters every dip matters maybe not for you but for those who are waiting for it to invest more and have it cheaper.
In every price fall that we have there are some who have a successful trades because of it.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anybody else feel relieved this dip finally happened? on: May 17, 2021, 06:39:04 PM
I am waiting for it to happen but I don't know how much it would fall or how long would it stay low.
Are we going to experience a continuous drop again just like in 2018?
And if we would how low do you think it would reach?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone on Tiktok said that Bitcoin will go down zero if founder show up! on: May 16, 2021, 05:56:19 PM
I don't really believe those kind of words for me they are using the creator of Bitcoin to gain attention.
I don't know why knowing the creator would destroy the price I don't see any reason to it.
And people couldn't sleep well because they think too much there are some investors or crypto earners who could sleep peacefully it just depends on how they handle it.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: April 28, 2021, 12:50:20 PM
For me if Elon Musk didn't tweet about it people would just ignore it.
I think it gotten that high because of his followers not just in crypto but also his non-cryptocurrency followers bought it.
He got a massive amount of followers not just on crypto currency so maybe those non crypto people also bought Doge because of his words.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 05, 2020, 11:11:38 AM
It is hard to know which airdrop is fake but we could always keep ourselves safe by avoiding airdrops that required our personal information or have a KYC policy before they accept you on their list of participants.
We should also avoid the airdrops that requires payment in order to receive their token/coin no matter how small it is.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: September 29, 2020, 07:43:49 AM
yes, it is actually not too different right now, just have to practice safe social distancing as well as wearing masks. Food drop offs are very easy.
Great to see that your project to help the homeless by using crypto is still ongoing even in this pandemic where they really need it.
Most people would be scared to go out since they might get the virus so those homeless would have less help from the people around their place and the fact that the virus is spreading they would also be avoided by the people.
Great to know that there are still some people just like you who would help them during this pandemic in their own ways.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 29, 2020, 06:29:14 AM
I suggest give them something that would teach them how to use (make transaction) Bitcoin with a small amount of Bitcoin on a paper wallet.
Guide them on how to make it grow and how to invest in crypto make sure that they would also avoid the scam sites and all the other investment schemes.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: September 29, 2020, 03:44:24 AM
I secure mine on a clean usb flash drive and I also have a copy of it on a piece of paper but I always misplace it so I find it safer for me to use flash drive rather than a piece of paper.
But of course there are risk on holding it on such thing some would agree that the safest way is to store it on a paper because it could never be hacked online or be infected by a virus.
That is why I only use my flash drive when needed and I don't connect it on other device only on my computer.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: September 25, 2020, 10:31:44 PM
I also want it to happen but one thing is for sure bounty scam wouldn't really go away as long as there are hunters and investor who would fall on it then they would continue to do it and create more projects.
The only thing that we could do is to educate ourselves so we wouldn't fall or participate on those project.
Sad to say but we are the ones who are to blame for it because we continue to invest and cooperate with them because we are lazy to do a proper checking on projects that we would join or invest.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: September 18, 2020, 04:03:15 PM
It is a great idea it is like saving in a piggy bank for a kid but for us adult it is a great investment we could also teach this kind of things to kids nowadays.
This could really help them in the future I would try this or do it on other crypto as well save small money in crypto and hold it till you need it,
Instead of wasting my money on vices why not put it in crypto it would help me and my family in the long run.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Can Reverse Bitcoin Transactions? on: September 10, 2020, 09:13:14 AM
I am confused, bitcoin transactions are irreversible, it is true they hold the majority of the miners but how would that matter in this situation? Is this because of the blocks that they can manage? Even with all of that I doubt it.
I am also confused about it but I think it isn't really true because if it is then it should have been a major news on crypto already.
And how could they reverse the transaction when it is already being mined?
17  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Casino and Betting Advantages For Online Gamblers on: September 01, 2020, 08:28:52 AM
For me the best advantage of online gamblers are it is easy to access they could open it anytime anywhere they want they don't need to go to any sports betting place just to bet.
And they could continue to gamble even in this pandemic because they don't need to leave their house.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trx or Eth ? on: August 10, 2020, 06:14:37 PM
ETH - more popular and longer on the market. TRX has more signs of a ponzi, some people even call it a scam due to its semi-centralized structure. ETH on the other hand is decentralized. I don't trust centralized coins and not going to touch semi-centralized either.

While Vitalik is a weird genius, Justin is a PR guy. He throws money around and thinks that if he spends enough money on ads they will bring back even more in revenue. I'd be afraid that one day he says fuck it and bails with all the profits.
Yeah it also scares me sometime that Justin would get bored and just give up on his project so many things have happened and nothing has change on TRX I didn't even see it go up into $0.41 for a long time now.
But as you can see ETH has always been a wild one always have a huge move but I wouldn't deny that ETH also have a huge dump but it always have it's way to climb up.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: August 03, 2020, 07:16:44 PM
I think everyone in crypto fears that moment because they doesn't have any choice but to quit or be jailed because of earning in crypto.
Who wouldn't fear about it if you are earning in crypto and they make it illegal then it is the same as losing your job or source of income.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise of Bitcoin on: July 30, 2020, 11:41:11 AM
I don't think that we would be seeing the same pattern that happened in 2018 I don't think that we would be really go high again for this year.
I think our highest price could be around $14-15K or less I don't really expect it to go higher than that because of this pandemic most of the people are still struggling to survive.
