1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoind upstart configuration - ubuntu on: November 12, 2013, 07:13:42 PM
Thanks for posting this upstart config frozen (it's the first result on Google). If bitcoind is not mission-critical to your server, I highly recommend setting the nice level as well.

Code:
exec start-stop-daemon --start -c $user --chdir $home --pidfile $pidfile --startas $cmd -b --nicelevel 15 -m

The site I work with created real time, ticking and interactive bitcoin charts which can be repriced in different currencies and posted on your site. They are free to put on your website, blog or wherever. Happy to hear any feedback, and hope you all enjoy!

6  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin Market Not A Bubble And Still Highly Undervalued on: April 08, 2013, 10:13:54 PM
Quote
Once the bitcoin market crossed a billion dollar capitalization, sentiment of bubbles spiked in the public discourse despite no one citing any comparable metric to build a case off of.

Basically the idea is that the bitcoin market is still smaller than the much less successful digital gold currency market. In this sense, bitcoin are not in a bubble as most people proclaim without presenting a metric.

They are statistically independent odds.
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Multipool - the pool mining pool (with source code) on: July 06, 2011, 10:30:16 PM
I just want to confirm that I got a payment of 1BTC from nick.

Do we at least know that some of the ones that aren't reporting did pay the pool address and just need to be split once you figure out how to allocate them?  bitcoins-lc  and btcmine...
I received a payment also. Half of the shares I put in there are still pending though Sad

Well multiclone is down. Looks like he got 1 BTC from me :/

EDIT: Back up, but I still have 5000 shares pending from the 29th

I've mined about 12,000 shares in roo's multiclone over the past 5 days. Tons of rounds from June 29th are still pending, is it normal to pend for 5 days?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: July 04, 2011, 02:44:58 AM
I don't like the idea of replying to posts I don't care about in the newbie forum to get whitelisted.

Seems sketchy. You have lost my trust.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newegg Needs to accept bit coin. on: July 04, 2011, 02:42:31 AM
A big site like newegg accepting bitcoins would definitely help the currency out.
Isn't a huge problem that the value of bitcoins changes so much though?

Hello.

I've been mining for weeks and still haven't gotten rid of this annoying newbie status.
