Well... I hate to say this... but I'm getting 60MH/s using PhoenixMiner 4.6c now.

-tt 58 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 900 -amd -acm -mi 12 -gt 126 -mode 1 -clKernel 1 -clNew 1 -clf 0 -lidag 1 -openclLocalWork 128 -openclGlobalMultiplier 4096

~95 watts per card and 59C.

I like it a lot!

I'm getting incorrect shares with those settings... and not just a couple.

Yeah, I got a lot too. About 30%.
I'm trying this now:
-tt 58 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 900 -amd -acm -mi 12 -mode 1 -clKernel 3 -clNew 1 -clf 0 -lidag 1 -openclLocalWork 128 -openclGlobalMultiplier 4096

I removed the -gt and hope that clears up a bit. Seems like it needs some tuning still but it's progress!

-tt 58 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 900 -amd -mode 1 -clKernel 3 -clNew 1 -openclLocalWork 64
Seems much better. It's been running for about 4 minutes and no incorrect shares (yet).

How can I troubleshoot incorrect shares?

I'm mining ETH with RX 5700 XT
-tt 58 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 900 -amd -acm -mi 12 -gt 126 -mode 1 -clKernel 1 -clNew 1 -clf 0 -lidag 1 -openclLocalWork 128 -openclGlobalMultiplier 4096

I'm averaging 60MH/s but I'm getting a lot of incorrect shares. (11 out of 26)

PhoenixMiner 4.6c is out.
Has new kernels for RX 5700.
This updated version will soon be made available.

Thanks! Now I can achieve 60MH/s on my 5700. Smiley

Well... as expected.
20 minutes in with these settings:
-tt 58 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 904 and I get this:
WATCHDOG: GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit
WATCHDOG: GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit
Quit, please wait...

then the computer freezes and I have to reset it. Going to dial back to -mclock 900 and let it sit for a few hours.

EDIT:
51 minutes in and still holding but doesn't seem stable.
58C / 57C / 56C giving ~50.5MH/s each but it's bouncing between ~45MH/s to ~50.5MH/s at times.

DDU, fresh install of the drivers (19.9.1, I had issues with .2) - just install drivers from Device Manager.

Set all clocks/power in miner as you've been trying.
My card is  Saphire (without PULSE) Radeon RX 5700xt. Maybe I had luck with the vendor and the model. Running already 22 hours with stable hashrate (no bouncing), no crashes, mem temp 76 degree C, power draw reported 94W, fans about 44%, room temperature 22 degree C. Using  PM with -tt 58   -cclock 1300 -mclock 910 -cvddc 750

I'm using XFX. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's any way that we can determine if there are various types of memory yet. (Micron, Hynix, Samsung, etc)
It could be that XFX might use Micron where Sapphire might use Samsung. Something of that nature.
This would explain why I cannot get stable memory clock beyond 900 where some can even go beyond 910. Of course, every card is different. Question is, how much?

I'll look into DDU some other time. I'm pretty busy this week and that can be time consuming should there be a complication of any kind. Thus far my 5700 XT rig (of three XFX cards) has been running without issue for almost 11 hours with -tt 58 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 900
If you recall when I tried 904 I quickly had issues. Unfortunately, they're not immediately obvious. It could take up to an hour for the OpenCL hang and system freeze. That's a long time to slightly (slowly) make minor adjustments to clock speeds in hopes for 2 or 3 MH/s extra.

I'm also keeping in mind that everything about these cards are still very new. As stated, I don't even know what kind of memory (other than 8GB of DDR6) I have. I don't think that -rxboost or -straps would make any difference yet either. So there's plenty of room for improvement and I see no reason why we can't get at least another 10% from these cards without sacrificing efficiency. There will be driver updates, software updates, bios firmware modifications, etc. I think that we just need to simply settle on whatever we each find to be most stable and wait until these improvements release.

All,

Quick question, is anyone else experiencing instability with the RX5700XT?

It will sit at 51mh/s for a few rounds and then drop down to 21, 8, 9 before going back up to 51mh/s

Power Limit -45%
Memory Max Frequency 910
Core Clock Frequency Auto

Checked Board, Riser and PSU with no luck

On latest drivers and Claymore version

Anyone had any luck with this?

Not crashing but the hash rate isn’t consistent?

Reference card 5700xt, Tried using afterburner and wattman to adjust clocks and power with no luck.

PM has rocksolid hashrate at 52.7mhs with: -tt 58  -cclock 1300 -cvddc 750 -mclock 910 -hstats 2
and only 76 degree C mem temperature

I keep seeing you post this. (Repeatedly)
What's your environment? I can't get anywhere close to your results. I've tried everything.

Mine is three cards, spaced about 1 inch between on a frame with two 120mm Hydra fans (185.87 CFM) blowing directly on them at full speed.
They're in a hydroponics tent with two other machines and the ambient temperature ranges from 110F to 120F.

This command has been working for the past 21h 33m.
-tt 58 -cvddc 800 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 875
But only get 49.2MH/s for each card on average.

If I attempt to raise to -mclock 910 then my second card reduces to 0MH/s.
No matter what my -tt is set to it never makes any difference for me.
I use -cvddc 750 instead of 800 and ofcourse PM instead of claymore. The temperature in my room is aboit 22 degree C

So about a 30F-40F (24C) differernce in ambient temperature. I'm literally blowing hot air at my cards. LOL! (I have another inline duct fan arriving tomorrow to exhaust some of this heat. )
But when I try to go beyond 900Mhz I get the "watchdog" message and it quits then I frequently need to hit the reset button because sometimes it freezes up the whole system.
I'm currently trying -tt 58 -cvddc 800 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 890 and I'm pretty stable for the time being. I'll try to reduce my -cvddc to 750 next and check my stability.
Don't try. Just do it. It wastes you at least 4watts and raises the temperature of your gpu a lot

Hi
I have been using Awesome miner on my GPU mining rigs which have Windows 10 on all of them. I had no problem to update them to the latest version of the Awesome miner before, but when you released version 7.0, I have not been able to upgrade them. The current version is 6.9.4 and if I click on check for update, it shows me version 7.0.2 is available. When I click on update, the progress bar gets complete and Awesome miner reopens automatically. But it again shows the current version is 6.9.4. l also tried to run the Awesome miner as an admin on all the rigs, but it didn't help. Please help me

I've had to update Awesome Miner Remote on three machines. Two were successful, third wasn't. Even after a reboot. I uninstalled the remote agent on the rig, downloaded the new version and had to install it manually.

Mine does that too.
I'm actually having more serious issues. I have three cards and can't get my memory any higher than 900. The rig locks up.
Core clock 1300
Memory 900
Core voltage 800

So it'll run for about 20 minutes and then reboot itself. No idea what's going on with it.

reduce core voltage to 750. Reduce -tt to 54 or lower until it becomes stable. You can even raise memory clock to 930 and find proper lower -tt after that. If you don't wanna lower your target temperature (-tt) you have to lower memory clock (-mclock). So you have to find the balance between -tt and -mclock by experiment.

Can't get it less than 800 with Afterburrner and with Wattman it reboots whenever I hit apply. I'm thinking that I might need to clean install Adrenaline. But I get a system lock up if I go any higher than 900 on my Memory. It's probably just one of the cards (of three) but I haven't had time to try them one by one to find out.
I did find *some* stability by reducing the power limit -25. It's been running for 8 hours so far. 50.55MH/s and about 105w from Wattman (each).

I can't determine how much the entire rig is using from the wall though because I have everything ran from a 240 and a PDU that has 5 PSU's connected but I can say that for 19 cards I'm drawing 2.9kW (three rigs.) I've just never had this much trouble from a rig before. Sad
Try -mclock 750 from command line.It should work.
You mean -cvddc 750, right?
Yeah I've tried. Freezes everything up.
Maybe some cards have different memory types like Hynix, Micron, Samsung, etc and that mas something to do with it.
I'm using three XFX RX 5700 XT models.
-cvvdc is the voltage of cores. It has nothing to do with memory. Did you tried ... -tt 53 -cvddc 750...?
I have tried -tt 80 -cvddc 750 and it locks up.
-tt 80 -cvddc 800 -powlim -25 works.
I've also tried -tt 80 -cvddc 750 -powlim -25 and it freezes too.
Only stable if I use -cvddc 800 for some reason.
And I can't do -mclock 910 only -mclock 900

So my command is currently
-tt 80 -cvddc 800 -mclock 900 -powlim -25 -fanmin 0

I have this three card rig in a tent with two other machines. The ambient temperature is 110F. I have an 8" blower pushing air from outside directly onto the three cards but the temps are still ~80C.

EDIT:
I think I'm getting close.
My machine has been running for about 7 minutes with this: -tt 75 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 900
But if I do -tt 75 -cvddc 750 -cclock 1300 -fanmin 0 -mclock 905 one of my cards drops to 0MH/s after about 5 minutes.

And... it crashed at after about 30 minutes.

what is the power consumption per card from the wall?
i sold my 6x 1060 gpu which hardly did 95 to 100 mh/s
they were all hynix memory cards
looking to get rx5700xt if they are stable at 55 to 60 mh/s without consuming more power

You'll probably expect about 150w per card if you want to overclock it that high (assuming you could). Shouldn't be anymore than that. Currently, I have yet to see any setting that will accomplish 55+ MH/s... yet.
Wattman says that I'm getting about 101w for each card.

Currently it works at ethermine pool (default start.bat file included in the miner) but I have not been able to get it working on miningpoolhub, is anyone else using that pool?  Using a 5700XT, stock settings, today's new drivers.

I use MPH. Did you try a different algorithm?
I just purchased three to get started. Should have them hooked up by Saturday. I also use Awesome Miner but that shouldn't make much difference.

NAVI NOW WORKS  NEW DRIVER  AMD 19.9.1    i get  51mh/s on eth    i dont know how to add a pic

Which card? 5700 or XT?
What are your OC settings?
How many watts is it using?

54 MH with max clocked Memory...running 105 watts at the wall with underclock/uv...this can easily be pushed to over 60MH with timing changes and under 100 watts.

Pretty killer card for ETH...guess AMD needed more sales so opened up the driver to miners Cheesy

I'm guessing you're using XT variant as well?

I'm just looking to see for sure if the XT is worth the extra $50 before I invest in 12 of them. Wink
