941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 04:28:34 AM
This is excellent some ideas i'm suggesting as atm i cant do marketing because im on vacation:

Fix wallet first and get more reputation before launch on exchanges
1. Make the 190million coins with POS have only 1% annual interest in the wallet fix
2. Make sure most of the coins go back in wallets and not on exchanges for the longer term for the ppl who have faith
3. Get more venders to accept Asiacoin once all is cleared up and clean
4. Starting promoting it on your twitter, thunderclaps, facebooks, you name it.
5. Get some Coindesk marketing.
6. Get termed as first Asian useable coin after Bitcoin and get more chinese here
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 05, 2014, 04:09:41 AM
you may be right. so like how the old WC coin is still the same coin, it still retains value and ppl respect it. But not all the premine has to be voided i mean we can change the 100% interest to 1% or something so the 30mill sold can exist peacefully with the other 160million. and the remaining coins from the big premine can be voided.

That's exactly what's going to happen. 30 mil sold will be there, interests will be adjusted, the big premine will be voided. Please head over to the new thread where we explained them in big detail.

Thanks.

im starting to love my close to 1mill AC, much appreciation from the bottom of my heart. i mean seriously this isnt an easy matter and it takes a strong heart to be able to take aggressive harsh words from others. it looks like u are bent on succeeding and i love it Smiley once this is all fixed up can u set up donations and a bounty page? so we can all donate some to make it worth your time and devship so u always stay on board with us.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 05, 2014, 03:56:18 AM
Hi guys, i would still advise to NOT create a new coin and do an exchange...

I've been through this before from experience trying to save RealStackCoin like this.. which although launched and made people feel better, eventually went down to 1 liteoshi in value.

The issue is that there is an existing network, of exchanges pools , and people.  Only a small percentage of those people will come and claim these coins, and getting exchange support AGAIN will be tough. and cost more money.

I still advise that the Asiacoin src is just patched up and delivered by voiding the premine.  Exchanges are ready to turn on their wallets again if we do so.  We should just take that deal.

Retaining the existing blockchain is worth something.. in fact .. it's the only intrinsic value of the coin.  And thus would have a much better chance at retaining existing coin value than a new coin.

+1350000

YES. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS ADVICE!

945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 12:27:59 PM
Hi, please tell us all what's so special about your new altcoin.

A lot of us have been getting burned lately.

Why should we invest time, hash, and resources into your new coin?

Its we show our old AC for these new ACs. And we rebuild the community and get mintpal what not to accept us back in. I guess we all bought in at 1500sats almost so no dumping should occur. and everyone should be helping mate.

We, the Pandacoin (PND) devs feel like giving back to the community with the recent Asiacoin blow up, as part of our coin’s origins and philosophy is to stand against cryptocurrency manipulation and scams. We would like to offer some sort of compensation to current Asiacoin bagholders that have lost money with the recent turmoil in the coin.

Cryptsy just said in their trollbox that they likely 'won't host AC2.'

Wanna bet? When ACV2 hits 200-250BTC a day trading volume they will at it in a hartbeat

First let AC become stable again, users gain new coins, more marketing, lowered POS to 1-10%, and other essentials b4 hitting. I mean seriously their more necessary. A coins use adds its value.

That is not what i'm trying to say. Cryptsy is playing the "goodguys" everybody know's we all call it CRAPTSY. They are only in it for the money. So they can say "that they likely 'won't host AC2" but my point is that when it's stable en has a signifacant amount of btc a day trading they will at it in a hartbeat.

Agreed Smiley remember ZET going to 18k crashing to 4k? and all the fud received? well we can become stable again with a relaunch base price of 0.00001500 where most of us bought the AC at.

relaunch? you cant be effin serious.

i sold all my AC 2 days ago when i found the premined block and everybody laughed at me.

but there is a big community wanting this coin to be relaunched. ppl still
have loads of money in it. and as you know: a coin is just as much worth as its community and
the market is willing to pay for it.  i am getting loads of messages of users asking to
"revive" this project. so if the community wants it they should get it.

i am doing this all free of charge. and at least i ll get back some good karma from this guys and girls.

Yeah bro and tons of ppl will donate to u Smiley, so u can become a AC millionaire just from that hahah

SAVING THE ASIACOIN COMMUNITY

hey guys and girls,

i am now about to fix the sources and provide you with a patch.
i was really pissed the last 2 days but as i am helping the community and not
the AC-DEV with this purpose i will make it.

i will provide the patched sources within the next 48h.
bitsta and ra1nb0wdash are supporting me.
i will do this for free or better say FOR THE AC-community.

tips appreciated: 1F7wGga1fVD9JJ995K8MiZJjyHSiJYSDPx

Good stuff.

off the top of my head my recommendations are:
  - Take patch to block wallet address AND Input value that's related to the address in question
  - Pick a hardfork block that makes sure that the premine wallet address still has the premine (so it doesn't get moved)
  - Need to review staking code to ensure that the premine doesn't have the ability to stake coins (I'm not sure about this one, should maybe consult rat4)
  - Reduce staking % to adjust for the 30M
  - Hardcode RPC functions to return # of coins to be MINUS the premine wallet that's been hardcoded out.  (as long as it's obvious, it's o.k.).. this will not confuse coinmarketcap, blockexplorers and such..

and ofc, send your changes out for code reviews.

Need others to step up, on other fronts.. repair damage to coin rep, and move fwd marketing... tho.

let me know if i can help..

hey micryon,

i just had a chat with rain and bitsta.
they made a detailed hex debug of the WIN-wallet and
it seems there is an additional software implemented. they are analysing it detailed and
will check nw-communication too. but we should start to warn all users from the AC wallet.
just to encrypt their other wallets. maybe dump their privatekeys and close/delete the AC wallet.

next point is it might be a better solution to make a new coin with pure PoS
and 1 PoW block with the 160 millioin ACs in it and exchange them with the users.

there are multiple options how to manage that: (request wallet.dat or privatekey of ACv1)
so we are able to check everyting.

if you are in with this idea and can support us in the exchange stage i will
start coding it today and will provide the final sources within 24h.

keep it up.
goldmann

I suck at coding whatnot, how i can i provide proof that i have the AC? Well i can show give u my addresses where the ACs are stored

What name do we want?

I think we should rename is Asiacoin, leave it original because we want the old to be forgetten and want to preserve the old idenity.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 11:56:15 AM
Guys what y'all need to is provide proof that y'all have the amt of coins ur claiming. And remember to hold these coins long term. Theres no point selling em and strengthening is what we gotta do. Once walet is made, we can all slowly PM the wallet maker one by one for the coins we wish to claim

Good luck. I hope it works out. You guys can become the new dev team of this coin. You know, if it all goes well, you'll rewrite the crypto history. Yes, it might not be possible to get back the full shine/value of this coin, but it sure will prove some people are wrong, and that a united community can resurrect a coin.

And in order to give the ppl their AC2 coins, tell them to provide their addresses and their AC coins balance so u know how much to give them. I dont want ppl getting em for free. P.S nice leadership here, i would do the same had i been a coder. Good job. You and micryon gotta hand it Smiley. I can help with the customer support and mintpal etc. once this is done and all coins are given to their rightful owners.

IMPORTANT

So from the block explorer (thanks for that) it looks like the dev scammer cashed out 30,130,175.27 of the premine.  He did so slowly over the course of the 2 weeks, in 300-1m increments.. (to not crash the price).. smart..

With an average 1000 sat pricing, that's about 300 BTC.. ~130k USD for this scam in his pocket..

The good news:

It looks like though the rest of the premine is just sitting at address: 2gqkfhoGMLpuwfXsRrSekhBAKRwmRH8sjEg  as of block 18013

http://199.231.191.241:2750/tx/3688b23d8dfa7e770697497247dcd0c037f2869495fd0e44a532c9ab9f1b28e0#i0

This means.. it's may be still possible to salvage this coin.  Even if the coin takes the 30m dilution.. which is effectively 10% and then just block this address...  That dilution could even be recouped by just reducing the staking % over the year to something like 50%, so that the final output can still be 360m.

There hasn't been that many coins introduced outside of the scam premine wallet address...

Anyways technically this makes it actually much easier to repair, even if you just take the dilution loss of 30m.
Excellent news and analysis! Hopefully, community will take over this coin and make a hardfork locking that address out. 30 million unauthorized dilution is not a big problem.

P.S.: 18K AC bagholder @ Mintpal.

I agree, you seem pretty capable and so far we have 190 million "legitment" coins. If we can reduce the stake pos to 10% that would add much more value and overall much less inflation. Whos up for it? You think u can become the new dev? I have donations, bounties etc ready

I always liked the 2% interest after one year, thought that was about right and competitive with other coins.  Was never so sure about the 100% first year, so I'd be up for having a discussion on what to set the interest rate at.

Yea bro loving my 920k ACs again Smiley i will do all i can help haha, lets make sure mircyon becomes dev. and p.s anything between 1-10% POS is best
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 10:17:03 AM
Is forking to X11 even possible?
If it is can somebody who knows the code dothe job for some bounty? If all the community donate some coins maybe somebody will take this hard task and make us all happy again Smiley
I can personaly donate 10% of my 100k !

Many ppl care, looking good guys Smiley once we fix code what not, i will get mintpal to add us again.
