Can you show your pool stats via P button in sgminer? I think they are dead. Is it works fine when server on 127.0.0.1(local machine in other words)? Does he have white static IP? Looks like network configure issue. May be your friend connected to the internet with NAT, in this case he should open ports, just like for torrent.

u fixed r9 290 already or still crashes badly ?
I've been seeing increased crashes with my 290X's as well. Sometimes one goes sick and drops to about 40% hashrate and doesn't recover if CGwatcher restarts the miner app. In that case all I can do is have CGwatcher force a reboot if the hashrate drops below a certain threshhold. But it's happening a lot, like 2-3 times/hour in certain circumstances. Other times it runs stable for 12-15 hours. (Might be the mining pool used makes a difference somehow?) change I to lower by 1. That helped me but lost 200KH/s coz of that Stability is more important)

That working x13 kernel for 5xxx and 6xxx cards is not near close hashrate how it should be. Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #Af5Y9PGMa4GNVbSN
Because optimised x13 kernel doesn't work on older cards. Seems that people with knowledge are not interested in fixing it Just updated sources on github with fix for AMD HD 5xxx/6xxx cards. Windows binaries will be a little bit later.Use "kernel" : "x13modold" in your configs or -k x13modold in command line. Windows binaries.https://www.dropbox.com/s/sodbzky1e3p2d32/sgminer_x11x13mod_03_06_2014.zipI someone download binaries before i deleted my message, reload it. Sorry for that. Now it's correctUse "kernel" : "x13modold" in your configs or -k x13modold in command line. My observation: you should tune your settings, wrong settings and hello HW . I tried on my hd5770, works fine with: "intensity" : "12", "kernel" : "x13modold", "vector" : "1", "worksize" : "128", "thread-concurrency" : "5000", "lookup-gap" : "2", "gpu-threads" : "1" I didn't try higher intensity, because my VRM temp on this card really sucks.

Hey all
does anyone have any ideas why i am getting fatal JSON errors here?

I've heard folks are dialing back their memclock from 1500 to 1200-1300. I currently set mine back to 1300 because I seemed to be getting glitches and sick cards. don't know if it will help but I'm watching it.
If you'd look at the image you'd see my memclock is at 1250. Anyway, I already solved this issue. It was powertune not getting enabled when I was trying to use it; I managed to fix it by enabling 'Unofficial overclocking mode without PowerPlay support' in MSI AB. As i understand it's was tuning issue? Just to be clear.

For some reason it is marking some of my pools as dead, whereas the regular sgminer 4.2.1 does not. Is the logic to detect a dead pool different in this build?
Version? With my addings or not? Because i didn't change anything in dead pool detect logic. Thanks Is darkoin-mod the same as x11mod? What about x13mod, which kernel is that? darkcoin-mod = x11mod. x13mod is not implemented yet.

The big X13mod, works on Radeons 5xxx-6xxx. Its obvious that this is using "hacked" x11mod from Girino's exe (with opencl file >270KB) example cmd line for 5850 sgminer -k x13mod -o stratum+tcp://boost.suprnova.cc:3311 --auto-fan -w 256 -g 1 -I 18 --thread-concurrency 7200 --lookup-gap 2 Works with Cat 13.12, works with 14.4 too. tested on 5850, 6970 and 5750 x13mod.cl - 281KB https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/88276654/x13mod.7zSorry but can't remember how I found it, was posted somewhere in a forum - with complete sgminer build, made 28-05 early in the morning PS: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/88276654/sgminerx11.zip thats the file I downloaded, the x13mod kernel inside is NOT compatible with later sgminer builds, so ... Hi,I run it with my 5750,kernel error. win7 sp1 64bit,Cat 13.12 My 5770 started with settings "kernel" : "x13mod", "intensity" : "11", "shaders": "800", "gpu-threads" : "1", "worksize": "128" ~250-300 kh/s. I didn't try to achieve better performance, that wasn't my target.

New release. No speed updates in this release. Github sources as always here: https://github.com/lasybear/sph-sgminer_x11modChanges:- Total uptime in first string
- Gpu sets idle, if all pools dead. Tried to unplug internet cable and gpu set to idle state, clocks dropped. Share your results about this feature.
- show-coindiff option from cgminer-3.7.2-kalroth added. Description: Option to show coin/network difficulty instead of hash value. --show-coindiff or "show-coindiff" : true, can now be used to show the coin/network difficulty in accepted or rejected messages. This is only relevant for coin switching pools and it is off by default.
Link for windows binaries: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vtj5z5e56jc8wh7/sgminer_x11x13mod_30_05_2014.zipThx platinum4 for his ideas, and lasybear for his free miner. There is a new sgminer here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632503.0 - and I want to see there all the improvements you've made for your x11/x13 miner, including the latest (total uptime in first string, gpus idle when pools dead and so on). So: "you now have the opportunity to join efforts with others and contribute to this unified sgminer, especially since shm is not anymore actively involved in sph-miner development. There is no need to make thousands of forks but rather work on a single unified sgminer" (c) Join them! Yes, one miner will be better than 100500 forks. I'll add latest improvements soon.

although watt meter says all cards working after 7-8 hurs miner freeze and pool hashrate is 0anybody having the same issue?
Yes. It runs well for a couple of hours and suddenly hashrate goes ballistic (1Gh/sec) but nothing gets sent to the pool anymore. No idea what causes it. EDIT: it would seem that the card is going sick. Can i see your miner log? my cards arent sick they continue after restarting miner and where is the miner log i can post Described here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623409.msg7006129#msg7006129But it's not acceptable for you, because it works fine in hours. Is there something interesting in miner windows, when it hangs? nothing happens miner window open but kh/s number and other numers freeze btw my cards are 290 Looks like multithread deadlock in code. But i'm not sure. Currently i don't understand why it happens. If someone have issue like this, please post your card model.

Is there something interesting in miner windows, when it hangs? Guys, does anybody have experience with "x11mod" kernel and multipool? I have an issue the miner just stops after a while of mining. All cards in the farm stop in one moment. I suppose it depends to coin switching. "x13mod" kernal does ok with that. Any idea?
I'm using trademybitpool with x11mod and it words fine. 17 hours, no hang. It's so strange. Do you use sick time extended version for x11? I have a question. Now i'm trying to figure out HW on 5xxx cards. I have 5770, but i can't run marucoin kernel for tests. It's just doesn't compile. Error -11: Building Program (clBuildProgram) And marucoin.cl in kernel folder, it's compiles fine for 280x. Anyone have same card? If yes, can you compile marucoin kernel? Sorry for my bad english.

I have the same card, now at 2.5 with I=16, HW errors at i-18.
Just to confirm I am talking about x13 algo
Yes, x13. Hmm. Ok. May it depends from other hardware: I have 2 videocards o my PC: 5770(working + games) and R9 280(mining) and 32Gb RAM. Maybe this mod requires more system memory. How much do you have? Or maybe it's just hardware luck variance. My vga bios version: 015.041.000.000.000000(113-AD47800-101)

Does the binary include the fix needed to mine with NiceHash.com? Is the idlebug fixed? Thanks
bump You mean sick extended time? Yes, sick time is extended. This showing improvements for X13? What you guys getting with a 280x?
To answer my own question I went from 1.45 to 1.87 Check your configuration. I got 2.7 with R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623409.msg6990258#msg6990258

That worked, but I'm getting 3.4M on the x11 only dl with my 280x's and only 2.6M with your version. I need to test more to see if the other is just inflated.
Check your configuration settings. Tested x11mod kernel with last x13mod binaries. Works fine: 3.4M on R9280X-DC2T-3GD5

I'm sure it's already been stated, but I have a dead second pool showing in the x13 dl with user: elun.main in it. Any way to remove this?
mmm. strange. Go to file sgminer.conf and edit it. Sorry, i forgot to remove test pool from configuration file. Going to upload archive without pools in conf file. UPD: Now sgminer.conf have not valid pools. REMEMBER you should delete/rename sgminer.conf file if you not use it and run sgminer via bat file.
