41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a buy at these levels? on: April 09, 2014, 05:41:05 AM
I have been buying... just now... " I just bought 1.0 bitcoin"
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Would people pour their cash into bitcoin given a stock market crash? on: April 03, 2014, 05:43:41 AM
When the stock market crashes people will have less money for bitcoin. Hopefully a bunch of people will invest in Bitcoin BECAUSE they fear that the stock market will crash.

As there are more bitcoin investment opportunities hopefully more mainstream investors will start to join in the fun.
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm Out on: April 03, 2014, 05:38:17 AM
My faith in Bitcoin is not as unshakable as it was a while back. Empty Gox and so many recent scams have shaken my belief.

Nevertheless I still have enough faith in Bitcoin to bet large on it. I am buying more now. If it falls further I will keep buying. If that means other expenses have to be slashed, then I am fine with that.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else depressed by all these alts? on: April 03, 2014, 05:31:50 AM
There are way too many scam coins. I can see the allure in people creating more of them. Hell I created a couple for fun - but, not to scam people. I think we would be better off with just Bitcoin. Ordinarily I would say competition is good. But, when the "competition" has so many scams, it is just bad, in my opinion.
45  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MT.GOX CEO -- SOON TO BE JAILED? on: April 02, 2014, 09:18:20 PM
I served someone with a lawsuit at a deposition. So it is a really convenient way to track down someone who wants to hide. Of course the scamming guy I sued then proceeded to file bankruptcy to get out of his obligations to me.
46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MT.GOX CEO -- SOON TO BE JAILED? on: April 02, 2014, 09:16:44 PM
Really I guess the benefit to Mark of going to the US and having bankruptcy protection could help him keep some domain names that could be seized from him in the united states. Maybe he has some bank accounts.

But, any Bitcoin that he may have hidden could be hidden as long as he does not talk.

I would bet that Mark will not appear in the US. Otherwise Federal Marshalls will be waiting for him when he leaves the deposition.
47  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Ghash.io - Hacked! on: April 01, 2014, 12:06:16 AM
I can't get to the stats either.  Undecided

However, nothing is failing over so I guess things are ok. there
48  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin lost >50% of hashrate, what happened ? on: March 30, 2014, 05:47:54 PM
I only wish the hash rate dropped in half. Mining is so much slower than it was not too long ago..
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you buy bitcoin today? on: March 30, 2014, 04:42:05 PM
I bought this morning at $450 because every time it drops and I do not buy in I regret it later.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a Bitcoin icon set that I'm giving away for free on: March 30, 2014, 12:12:04 AM
Thanks. These look great!
51  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Satoshi only spent 50 BTC. Here's where those coins are now on: March 30, 2014, 12:11:04 AM
Excellent work. It all looks pretty and I love the thought of having some of Satoshi's first bitcoin in my wallet.
52  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 30, 2014, 12:04:30 AM
I am not sure about this, "Every bigger government agency or bank is able to destroy Bitcoin by building a shitton of ASICs." but, I would think that the Chinese government could pull it off easily.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They sold car already with aur in iceland :) on: March 28, 2014, 08:37:15 PM
The site will not load for me
54  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 28, 2014, 08:35:56 PM
Auroracoin does not provide any transparency because the market will let them get away with it. As long as Fortune and others are hungry to write non-critical articles about new alt coins they have no reason to change any. I can't say that I blame them...
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This rumor is a test of bitcoin on: March 28, 2014, 08:34:22 PM
so what happens to the price of BTC if the rumor IS true? or FALSE?

When Gox collapsed it was already priced into the market. Is Chinese market already priced out of the market?
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ... and then they fight you .... on: March 28, 2014, 05:13:42 AM
What is a Simbabwian Dollar? It does not sound good.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if the number of transactions doesn't pick up by 8/16 miners will have to quit on: March 17, 2014, 10:08:54 PM
The future decrease in mining payouts will artificially increase the value of mining before the drop in mining payouts.
58  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty only jumped 11.39% today... 1st time under 15% since June 2013 on: March 16, 2014, 12:46:41 AM
This is great news... unfortunately it won't last long. : (
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Data collected by the United States Government on: March 15, 2014, 09:17:58 PM
Looks like I am in the majority. I predict big bounties of bitcoin being placed to track down hackers.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $500M lawsuit in Canada filed on: March 15, 2014, 12:22:53 AM
The only people who win in the process are the attorneys. The only thing the little people will get out of this is perhaps some knowledge of how Mark scammed us.
