61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After all that happened, if Dorian really is Satoshi... on: March 14, 2014, 11:53:17 PM
Part 2 of my theory:

The real Satoshi Nakamoto chose the name because he knew that it would lead to Dorian Nakamoto who had changed his name 40 years earlier

Real Satoshi knew that Dorian Nakamoto having worked on secret projects would not talk about his past.

Real Satoshi knew that Dorian Nakamoto would be the perfect fall guy because only idiots in the media would believe Dorian S. Nakamoto to be the real Satoshi. Further, Real Satoshi knew that techies would know that Dorian Nakamoto was not the real Satoshi.

The reason for this entire plan was so that the unsuspecting media would do something so stupid as have a cover story proclaiming Dorian Nakamoto as the Real Satoshi. This would cause so much backlash that NO real journalist would want to propose a new theory about who is the Real Satoshi thus preserving the secret identity of Real Satoshi.

My theory is... Nakamoto family Bated Leah Goodman - she is the real victim here.

When Newsweek dummy Leah Goodman started harassing the Nakamoto family they knew it was not true. But, they decided to give her bits of information that would lead her to think it was true.

Arthur telling her that Dorian is so much smarter and that he would never admit it were just done to bait her and his part in the process was the most important.

After that things spiraled out of control...
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF Jimmy Wales aka Wikipedia ? on: March 13, 2014, 03:56:40 AM
Keep in mind that Jimmy Wales knows alot about internet advertising. Specifically he knows about placing small advertisements across thousands of web pages. The internet venture that I remember of his was Boomis from 1996 until before Wikipedia. That involved groups of websites joining and advertising things with Boomis taking a cut - or something like that. Certainly his decision is the "right" one for Wikipedia today. However, the day will come when things will change...

From wikiquote:

"Bomis was a dot-com company founded in 1996 by Jimmy Wales, Tim Shell and Michael Davis. Its primary business was the sale of advertising on the Bomis.com search portal...."

"Bomis created and hosted web rings around search terms popular among male users. It included "Bomis Babes", which was a segment devoted to erotic images." "

Some interesting quotes in there like people who spend thousands of dollars every day on lawyers just to stay out of jail.  Great movie promo.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I dont' know how to feel about this.Jim Harper and Amy Weiss to join BF on: March 11, 2014, 11:18:34 PM
Jim Harper and Amy Weiss seem pretty well connected. Certainly they should be able to be effective at what they do. A little bit of paying lobbyists can go a long way. Hopefully they will take us in the right direction.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Domain name Escrow service to accept Bitcoin and Litecoin on: March 11, 2014, 10:54:33 PM
Ammar Kubba is the guy behind Agreed.com which is the service offering this escrow. He has run several successful businesses. I would have confidence in using this program. I have used his services in the past.
67  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining Profitability on: March 11, 2014, 01:51:45 PM
Mining can be alot of headaches and it is very easy to lose alot of money. But, you can learn alot in doing it. So do it at some level with the knowledge that it might fell like you are bashing your head against the wall.
68  Other / Off-topic / Re: Chuck Norris Turns 74 Today!: Add A Chuck Norris Truth! on: March 11, 2014, 12:43:56 AM
When Satoshi Nakamoto invented Bitcoin there was already 1 terabit per second of hashes aimed from Chuck Norris's computer to solve the genesis block.
69  Other / Off-topic / Re: Funny Bitcoin Stuff on: March 11, 2014, 12:09:52 AM
OK. So this is not funny this is more serious.

I was looking at developer openings in the Bitcoin space and I came across a business with "rapid expansion in business and recruitment" and they recently moved to a new office with "a large recreational space" the job advertisement has the picture of a very happy looking chubby guy. Maybe he would be a good boss? Anyway I was wondering if anyone here could advice me if this is a good opportunity or not...  https://www.tibanne.com/article/7/we-re-hiring-  Huh
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dorian Satoshi being the real Satoshi? here are some facts... on: March 08, 2014, 09:44:29 PM
Personally I know that if someone started emailing me about a hobby of mine pretending to share a common interest and then I found out that they were lying the whole time I would immediately break off all contact with them.

How many senior citizens are conned by people? Surely Dorian would have heard about the scammers online.

Dorian rightly must have concluded that the Newsweek reporter Leah McGrath Goodman was nothing more than a scam artist. If your entire relationship with someone is based on a lie you will rightly become upset. Some people will argue with you when they find out they have been lied to. Others will just break off contact.

Then when you start stalking someone at their home as Leah did,  they are likely to call the cops as you are clearly a lying and conniving sack of shit the likes of Leah McGrath Goodman.

These are great. I just tweeted them out. These will come in handy for me.
72  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best BTC earning site. on: March 04, 2014, 04:29:40 PM
Steps to figure out:
1. Domain Name - lots of us have good ones for sale. hard to find good ones available
2. Hosting - tons of cheap options.
3. Search google for open source programs that do what you want that you could install on the hosted domain. I have never tried https://github.com/Kafkamorph/Simple-Open-Source-BitCoin-Faucet but maybe I will...

good luck
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I told Satoshi to call it Digicashbills on: March 04, 2014, 07:19:26 AM
No cryptocurrency longer than 2 syllables has any chance of success whatsoever. Well unless it flows really good....

Bitcoins is an amazing name. It works.  Digicashbills does not exactly roll off the tongue.

It's your lucky day!  Digicashbills.com is available. I just checked  and despite this long thread no one has been willing to spend 0.011 BTC or so to buy the domain name.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fastest Way to Make a Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2014, 03:38:07 AM
The easiest way to make 1 BTC is to find a customer. What can you do that people in the community need and want?
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Development: Lack of Progress? on: March 03, 2014, 02:56:22 AM
At the Bitcoin level things need to be simple. I think Einstein said to, “Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler."

If you let something become too complicated then you have something like Mt. Gox that completely collapses.

The most important thing is to create a platform that works. Then let others build things around the platform.  If some feature can be handled outside the Bitcoin level, then leave it out. There is a big community around Bitcoin. Anytime the protocol changes then everything built around it has to take into account potential changes as well.

Just my thoughts.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Far leftist Jewish woman goes on racist rampage against "white male" Bitcoiners on: March 02, 2014, 01:09:35 AM
Doesn't she realize Satoshi Nakamoto is Japanese?
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: .BITCOIN waiting for INAIC approval? on: March 02, 2014, 12:48:11 AM
I would suggest charging back on the credit card. Call your credit card company and explain that you were scammed as the organization claiming to offer new TLDs does not have the authority to offer them.

78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: .BITCOIN waiting for INAIC approval? on: March 02, 2014, 12:30:49 AM
The site you registered with is not correct for a REAL top level domain.

The real ones had a round of applications which ended in the last year. Those applications cost $185,000 and auctions for conflicting domains.

Real TLD applications are only performed through http://icann.org

For all the real details check out http://newgtlds.icann.org/en/

I spent 14 years in the domain name industry.

The only winners are the bankruptcy attorneys.
80  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A consensus network, or how to stop a big lose (fork it!) on: March 01, 2014, 06:40:47 AM
This could be a solution for some coins. IF Gox immediately and completely releases information with respect to the stolen coins and the transactions. Then at least something could be investigated. Maybe there are some recently taken that could be recovered. Maybe a huge amount.

More likely the coins have mostly been taken for a long time and over a few years so by this time the theif is so good at tumbling botcoins that any recovery if completely beyond figuring out.
