I think second option is better! because it will save our time and it will be specific.

I need a suggestion! Please check the voting in start of thread
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Developing] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 26, 2016, 05:41:10 PM
I would implement just a captcha voting, similar to faucets. Additionally user has to provide an address for the coin he is voting. Then you only accept votes with different addresses and ips.

Still you could fake it, but not so easily.

Hmm! Exactly

Good News!

Can't you give people a choice to verify by SMS or by vote from IP?

No.It can't happen
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Developing] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 26, 2016, 08:22:44 AM
I don’t like to give contact detail of my mobile. That is not a safe thing and I don’t want to share this information.

I think the best way is really IP-related. That seems to be legit and you will also get more voters then with the other options.

Its a mix response yet, some people says SMS verification some says IP address. But SMS verification is much secure and transparent then IP-address.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Suggestions Required] Altcoin Voting Site on: January 26, 2016, 06:53:03 AM
You have concluded the project by mention trust and exchangers but i know for certain that crypto exchange platform like to be independent and dont expect corporations from all of them especially those that charge per vote.

I will not allow paid votes! It should be very transparent platform, so we can convince the crypto exchange sites.
In this way maybe: 1st sms verification, then they vote for the coin, select the exchange and its votes accepted.

It should have a signed message as well. But such voting may not be applicable to every audience as it will take some time for everyone to learn what cryptocurrency is for and its features. Human nature is hard nosed to change so you got to explain it to everyone very patiently. How about making use of colored coins.

Hmm. not everyone have deep knowledge about Crypto Currency.I think SMS is more transparent and much feasible
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Suggestions Required] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 26, 2016, 06:28:09 AM
SMS verification is the fairest. It is essentially one vote per mobile phone number. One vote per IP is the simplest but can be easily gamed in all sorts of ways including by using a dial up modem connection. Social media accounts is by far the worst. Why are you making providing all your personal information to the NSA a condition of voting on altcoins?  Seriously.

I voted for SMS verification.

You install app on your phone, code is sent and then then we put it on website and it get verified Cheesy

Also Google Authenticator can be helpful

Thank you for your opinion.
Hmm! It is much transparent way than all of them, maybe we can also use Authy as well, but let's see how much votes we get on it.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Suggestions Required] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 26, 2016, 06:06:31 AM
But i have found that one vote per IP per altcoin, no proxies and no VPNs is best option. It is no hassles for voter. They don't even need to register on the website.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Suggestions Required] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 25, 2016, 06:41:53 PM
Altough a voting site is a great idear, i would never connect any social accounts nor verify my cellphone number to cast a vote...

Other suggestions on verifying:
- emailaccount (altough i would never give that out to cast a vote either)
- 1 vote/ip (can be circumvented)
- signed message from an address holding coins (can be circumvented)

Circumvented  Grin So which way will be feasible for you guys?
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Suggestions Required] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 25, 2016, 10:24:02 AM
How about One vote per IP per altcoin and No proxies and VPN allowed?
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Suggestions Required] Altcoin Voting Site on: January 24, 2016, 06:30:32 PM
I refused to "verify" to get my free NEUcoins and I surely am not going to "verify" to vote on some altcoins.. Maybe you can think of something better.

would you like to connect 3 social accounts?

177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Looking to Develop] Altcoin Voting Site on: January 24, 2016, 10:49:25 AM
Actually a good idea. The main challenge for such a site will be to prevent voting fraud. Either you have good anti-fraud detection features or you need to add registration for instance, what will discourage people to vote.

Is it just about fraud voting? i

I have some ideas in my mind like sms verification, social accounts connections
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Developing] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 24, 2016, 07:15:54 AM
Hi
I am thinking of making an altcoin voting site, like first users have verify their account by connecting social media accounts (or any other type for confirmation). Then they can vote for the altcoin, but i want Altcoin Exchange site to trust our platform without this it will be unsuccessful.

I thought that One vote per IP per Giveaway+No proxies+No VPNs is best option

How do you think?
