Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / What if Dogecoin price goes LESS than 1 satoshi?

What if Dogecoin cost LESS than 1 satoshi? First of all, I am very positive about Dogecoin, BUT let's think about the possibilities. What if Bitcoin is going to 50,000 USD +up next months, and Dogecoin prices in Satoshis fall to 1 sats or below?
It might sound really far away, but i it's not impossible. Remember Dogecoin has not being enough strong for seriously breaking 100 sats. Bitcoin is getting stronger and price translated in satoshis are going lower, it would be even more difficult to get BTC conversion. You could say: Dogecoin prices in USD (USDT and USDC, indeed) would be increasing, but what if they are not?
You might be tired to hear about that, but I think more than ever decelerating the issuance of Dogecoin is a key for its evolution and for tackling those risks. I don't mean: lets drive Dogecoin to $100 USD, not even $10, at least should be a reasonable goal to take Dogecoin prices around 0.10 or 0.25 USD, it would help the coin to gain independency from BTC. BTC
I'm aware of the benefits of inflation, i think that is the right choice specially when market gets mature. But really, 5 billions of new Dogecoins every year is too much, it would kill the coin... It would be great reducing new Dogecoins issuance to just 1 billion every year (or even better, around 100 million yearly).
I really love this coin, it's such amazing. As user i'm very happy and as investor Doge it's been just fine, but a little bit worry for this crazy idea.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people use/hold bitcoin in 2016
|
on: August 16, 2016, 12:50:07 AM

According to my optimistic forecasts, Bitcoin average prices in 2020 could be $1,276.5 USD, my moderate scenario is $861.5 USD. I base my forecast on a higher trading volume and the potential BTC market share in worlwide e-commerce.
I think prices are going to boost toward 2024. My moderate scenario expects $2,807.3 USD per BTC. I think it would be a reasonable evolution for BTC in long term.
In my very optimistic scenario, I believe BTC can touch a roof of $4,200-$6,700 USD in some moment of the next decade. I believe it, but i'm not expecting it.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Trinity - TTY (SHA256d, Scrypt, Myr-groest) Trinamic Block Value System

Hi there, I made an statistic estimation based on numbers of Prohashing.com block explorer taking production average. I found the following results (approx):
- Average block production: 78 TTY - Average blocks per day: 2,496 - Annual production of TTY coins: 70.8 million - TTY coins circulating at block 1,745,982 (August 10, 2016): 135.8 million * I've read in early stages TTY were more difficult to mine. I'm not considering this fact. - Forecast of TTY circulating on August 2016: 206.6 million - Forecast of TTY circulating on August 2020: 419.2 million
Well, those are my results. I think they aren't too bad related to the potential of this coin, but I realize weren't as good as I thought.

Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2016 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews
|
on: August 02, 2016, 06:38:27 PM

Well, I update my status: CryptoPay verification process was too heavy and slow; in the other hand Wirex / E-Coin works smooth, so I decide to upgrade from virtual to a plastic Wirex.
I also have been watching BTC/USD exchange in Crypto Pay and Wirex, I think Wirex has the better perfomance.
EDIT August 26
I update my review of CryptoPay and Wirex:
CrptoPay * Crypto Pay only takes the first 4 digits of BTC when you withdraw, you can lose some little money * BTC buy rate is $10-$20 low than Wirex (the other reference I have) * Buy rates information is unclear in its website, they switch betwen USD, Euros and GBP buy and sell rates. You must wait until they show the one you are interested to know. * CP customer service is very slow, and they don't tell you all the facts you need to know. Removing that, they are very nice * Plastic card almost took a month to arrive (To Latin America). * Plastic card has no brand * I didn't use the plastic card, I can't say anything about if it works fine.
Wirex * Virtual (Visa) and plastic (Mastercard) work with out problem * Sometimes the record of transactions are not showed correctly or aren't updated * When you pay for first time in a store, there's a recharge of $1-$1.50... /I don't know if it's a Wirex Policy or a MC policy. * Sometimes the Android app freezes when you're loading the card. it's more realiable to refund from E-Coin Website. Loading is very fast. * This week I found no balance in my account... It seems there were a general problem and they solved it quickly. But it was scaring. * Platic card took exactly 10 days to arrive (To Latin America) * Plastic card has a Wirex brand (very nice if you want to talk about Bitcoin to your friends)
P.D. Given CryptoPay was frustrating for me, may be I'm going to test an ANX debit card.

Hi there, I have a question.
Which debit card not issued by Wave Crest could you recommend? I've ordered a plastic CryptoPay debit card but in order to diversify I'd like to get another from different issuer. I'm in LatinAmerica.
By the way, I've been using Wirex virtual card, it works very nice!
Thanks!

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone

So sad, MangoCoinz was a great idea, got a very nice brand, funny and tasty. The network is fast and you can send your coins using your email... this is really valuable.
I don't know exactly what happen, but I think there are no hacking of MangoCoinz website. Phuket claims to use mobile mining, so I think both are related projects.
But it's sad to see what's happening here, because devs don't say: " We are going to swap MangoCoinz" or " Sorry guys, forget MangoCoinz, we are moving"...
I'm not meaning it's scam. They seems nice persons and they did a lot of development work, in this cryptoworld some bad coins works, some good coins doesn't... but I think their communication strategy has been a little messy.
P.D. I'm not going to buy Phuket, specially if that coin is behind the sinking of MangoCoinz.

If one does simple math: 61.5% chance of the reward being 1 TTY 20% chance of the reward being 2 TTY 10% chance of the reward being 5 TTY 5% chance of the reward being 10 TTY 2.5% chance of the reward being 20 TTY 1% chance of the reward being 50 TTY
100 % chance would pay out 88 TTY this would be 88TTY / 6 different chances = 14.66 say 15 per block on average. Total Blocks: 1,680,000*15= 25,200,000 coins. 25,2 mil. coins
Very interesting numbers. I did mine considering the trade book on Cryptopia, there were a lot of 150,000 coins sell orders, it was strange given the reward table so I took the 50. To be a 25 million coin, TTY is definitively oversold.

I've been watching TTY for a while, seems very interesting to hold, but surely needs advertising, keep a healthy wallet, may be a couple of exchanges more... xD
Monetary mass doesn't look too high. It will be 1,680,000 blocks, maximum reward is 50 TTY... well, if all blocks get maximum reward, monetary mass would be 84 millions, nothing billionaire.

Hi guys, seems you are having a lot of job, surely will be success at the end. Just wanted to say MWC there is only at Bittrex and that is not healthy. This is a coin with low trading volume and Bittrex threats constantly to deslisting, I understand people who want to sell their MWC before the risk of worth zero BTC in the short term. Not me, I'm holding to the last consequences! I'm still very excited about MWC, but seems this coin need another exchange to give confidence to investors. Sooner than later, MWC is going to get the price it deserves. Have a nice day!

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official
|
on: September 29, 2015, 09:12:03 PM

Well, I really wanted to believe in this project, but there are some rare things. I was on the Beta and they gave the people 10,000 Beta-NeuCoins, not the real, they close the Beta site for "Maintenance" and quickly they launch to the markets. I read somewhere they will give 10,000 real Neus to the people who where at Beta, but people would have to wait one month after the launch.
Now they are on the markets selling Neu at insane prices (4k sats at this time). It's really hard to understand why people would be buying an overpriced coin. There are lot of coins with similar coin supply and best profiles and still are far to worth 100 sats...
If they say spread coin to the people is an important matter, why they didn't give real NeuCoins to the beta testers prior to launch? When the time comes I doubt the 10k Real Neus is going to keep the value of 0.4 BTC that have right now... may be, not even $0.01 USD.
Now, I realize they were only marketing the coin. We all know how this kind of storys ends...
