I have seen projects created via waves, eth platform or their own blockchain that didn't go well and were ultimately abandoned.

Masternode presale is like an easy way to get funds, if in case there are still masternode buyers. With so many mn projects that failed because of the pnd scheme of most developers, I don't know if you can still gain trust from potential mn buyers. Anyone who is aware of the history of Dogecoin will never invest in that currency. It was created as a mock cryptocurrency, and basically it is a simple ripoff of Bitcoin. Somehow it managed to build a large and loyal user-base, and the exchange rates went up. But despite all this, the developers have shown little interest in popularizing this coin. And that is a giant red flag for me.  

The best thing on Dogecoin probably is a support from a big name Elon Musk. Elon Musk was silent for a long time to cryptocurrency and recently he expressed great support to Dogecoin.  He even joking about being CEO of Dogecoin.

This is actually my first topic on the bitcointalk forum, been in the crypto eco-sphere for some time now but didn't really feel the need to join this forum until lately. As a trader/ investor the market has taught me some pretty tough lessons and am currently in search of solutions. My question is when does one get out of a trade or sell off a crypto investment?. I used to be a sucker for the hold gang but recent experience has taught me that sometimes you just need to sell off some cryptocurrency even at loss and move on with your life. Examples of such include dragon chain. I bought at the top a year ago and because of the fact that i noticed they were constantly having meetups and news on their social media, i felt sooner or later the market will correct and it will escalate in price. Fast forward to today am rekt and my investment is almost 92 percent gone.
I think its important to throw this question open to the public because a lot of noobs are coming through and although this happens to be the best time to join the crypto space, people need to be educated that it won't be always rossy, you might need to get out of some trades before it gets you down the rabbit hole and into wretchedness.
So blockchain experts and crypto enthusiast when do you say is the best time to get out of a trade? or Dump a long term cryptocurrency you invested in? What level of loss can you take before you hit the panic button?.

99% of ICOs are scam, I'm not saying they are not, we are all tired of fake projects getting released day by day but let's not forget that many companies are just starting to take huge advantage of blockchain technology, the experiment with blockchain technology is ongoing which will actually giving birth to more newer projects,its left for us to choose wisely, cryptocurrency is advancing....

1)old coins and tokens are good and many prefer to invest in them than newer projects to limit there risks, not a bad idea but I want to share a simple example with you, a master will never remain a master forever
e.g there was a time when android version 2.3 is the best on Android phone, so how many of you can still use the 2.3 when you've already have the taste of 7,8.0,8.1,9 OS? The difference  is marginal,newer projects will and should be able to surpass the old ones

2)binance is the most favoured among biggest exchanges we have in crypto space and the bnb token is growing bigger due to IEO whatever and bnb crossing to its own blockchain, not a bad move but do you think binance will be this great in years to come?  Experiments gives birth to more greater and more advanced ideas and I can boldy say that we will see better exchange that will beat binance in the future, take it or leave it.

3)monero is the king of privacy coins as they named it, in fact yes I accept, I am a fan of xmr myself but lately many new privacy coins are flowing in and the one I'm most bullish on since 2018 is veil, seems better to me, this is not an investment advice though, just sharing my own personal opinion that we needs more newer projects to take blockchain and cryptocurrency tech to higher levels.

No one is the most wise, you will always see someone who will surpass you, no matter what and I think it's the same thing to coins and tokens .

Great observation. Few people know or notice this. In fact, the price is almost unchanged for 5 years . At the end of 2013, DOGE costs about 40 satoshes and today it costs the same. Moments when the price fell below are rare.

You haven't studied the coin well enough to ask such questions. Dogecoin is a coin that was created as a joke and there is no fundamental reason for its growth. The advantages of this coin is that it is convenient to use it to transfer funds between wallets or exchanges, as the commission is very low.
