Can you stake? Is there a masternode?  What are the benefits of the platform and for the investor in the currency?

The Trouble with the Online Event Ticket Industry:
Stopping the Bots that Ruin the Event Experience
The $33 billion event ticket industry is undoubtedly a thriving one, and is projected to grow at an annualized rate of 5-7% over the next 5 years. But with great profitability inevitably comes the threat of those trying to take advantage of the system. That is why this sector is now plagued with a host of problems stemming from the proliferation of resellers who utilize sophisticated “bots” to purchase the majority of tickets when they are released. This means consumers accessing the primary markets are left with subpar seat selection options and even these can be costly due to fees associated with the sales.
Further complicating matters, concert, sports and theater fans who turn to secondary markets to source their tickets will also pay high fees while using a system rife with fraud due to a lack of transparency in the purchasing process. Even ticket retailers are not immune to the industry’s downfalls as they do not have access to the profits obtained on the secondary market. Despite ongoing legislative efforts to stop these scams, the problem only grows worse. So perhaps it is time not just to make modifications to save the ticketing industry but instead, to disrupt it entirely.
1. Why the system is flawed.
The primary ticket market accounts for $25B and is dominated by the likes of Live Nation and Ticketmaster while the secondary market brings in about $8B for platforms like eBay and StubHub. Both come with their own unique set of challenges.
Within the primary sector, major players like Ticketmaster have retained such a large market share for so long they’ve never felt the pressure to innovate, utilizing inefficient technologies that can be overloaded with demand to the point of crashing, frustrating both ticket sellers and buyers. Furthermore, its partner venues will often price seats below market value which only incentivizes resellers to use bots to buy up tickets, essentially barring the average consumer from even entering the marketplace.
The secondary market is then filled with resellers who can charge exorbitant prices because they have monopolized most available seats. It is also crippled by a lack of transparency enabling widespread scams to proliferate. Because consumers have no idea who they are dealing with, the likelihood of buying fraudulent tickets increases, with 6% of sports ticket sales and 12% of concert seats now turning out to be forgeries.
2. Who the system hurts most.
It is not just consumers who suffer from the breakdowns of the ticket industry, some of whom are actually tricked by scammers selling the same ticket to multiple people only to find out at the gate their particular pass has already been scanned. The artists themselves are violated by current ticketing practices, because bulk bot purchasing eliminates their ability to have any control over what their fans are paying to see them. Some performers have openly expressed their disdain for these practices even going as far as to take back tickets from scalpers, because they block audiences without high disposable incomes from being able to enjoy the experience of participating in the live concert experience.
3. How the system can be stopped.
Simply put, the status quo is unsatisfactory to consumers, retailers and artists alike. Which creates the perfect opportunity for the latest technological advancements in cryptocurrencies to disrupt the industry in a way that benefits everyone involved.
Blockchain-based buying and selling is an entirely new way of completing business transactions that decentralizes the infrastructure, providing natural solutions to the many challenges facing the ticketing industry by ensuring a fair, more efficient and secure marketplace.
TokenStub is one of the newest players in this arena. Its platform utilizes a groundbreaking profiling and queueing system that ensures consumer access to the primary markets, free from bot interference while barring scalpers from scooping up every front row seat.
Not only does the use of its base cryptocurrency, the STUB token, even the playing field for fans looking to purchase affordable tickets in a marketplace free of fraudulent sellers, the organization also runs with very little overhead, enabling them to avoid charging ridiculous fees. The system also benefits retailers with its unprecedented levels of transparency, guaranteeing they have visibility and access to the profits of downstream transactions.
For an industry plagued with corruption, blockchain technology presents the ultimate solution with a free-market ticket exchange that benefits both event organizers and consumers alike by providing increased access to a safe and secure platform. This eliminates the fear of scams and scalpers by focusing on what fans want most: a safe and affordable way to buy tickets for the teams and performers they love.

They often look into this thread. I think they will write to you.

Thank you so much!

Closing statement of Drachmae Project Proof of Concept 2015
...
On the back of the POC the exchange Licence is owned by Nautiluscoin alongside Nautiluscoin sponsoring the model shoot, on the note of the exchange any accounts was moved to DXMarkets to be support Nautiluscoin from DXMarkets initiative in good will gesture to the community.
...

Does this mean when the DXMarkets open I would have my account and be able to withdraw my NAUT ?

You still have plenty of time so you need not worry, we have extended a little longer due to complaints of delayed withdraws from Cryptsy.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Can't wait to get this done, so I can relax like the rest of you Smiley

I received my account verification email. Thanks !
Few questions/concerns though:

  1. There is no withdraw option anywhere. Is that something that will be added after the swap is complete ?
  2. Don't see an option to setup 2FA (two factor authentication) for login and/or withdrawl
  3. Except for the deposit page, I get spinners everywhere else

If these have already been answered elsewhere, I am sorry just point me there.

Thanks !

Almost 24 hours and my account hasn't been verified yet.
Can't possibly have a deadline and not process new account activations ... this is very frustrating.

As benjamoyne said above: panic not.

I'll check with the Drachmae guys:
https://www.drachmae.exchange/
and see if they can kick any pending confirmations out a bit faster.

@benjamoyne and @EvilDave,

Thanks a lot guys

My client is fully synched and on the correct chain. I'll be able to send all my NAUT as soon as the confirmation arrives.
I've already sent them a few emails, to expedite the verification process. Hope they get to it soon.

I've been a supporter of this project from the very beginning (over a year now), it would really suck if I didn't make it.

Also is there a working block explorer for the old NAUT. So that I can check if I am on the correct client & blockchain.
Can someone help ?

Update: My client is fully synched (hopefully on the correct chain). Still waiting for the exchange verification email. (spamming F5)

Cryptsy....bloody hell. It's a headache for everyone with funds on there right now.
I've got a BTC of assorted crap on there that I'd like to get out, but I just don't have the time to piss around making a zillion withdrawals. Grr... Angry

Anyway: back to NAUT. My redemption/swap program closed on the 8th:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.0

The Drachmae exchange:
https://www.drachmae.exchange/
has already extended their deadline for redemption by a week, until the 18th.
Maybe they could allow another week or 2 there, but the swap has to end sometime.

Of course this would happen to me .. I was away for a month and I am staring at a dealine 2 days from now.
My account at Darchmae is WAITING for validation ... Anyone know how long it would take for them to send me the validation email ?

And my client is out of sync and is at Jul 13th ... fuck me
Any bright ideas ?

Just made a few payouts of NXTNAUT for tonight, slightly earlier today than usual:
(need some beauty sleep)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.msg12441796#msg12441796

@newra:

Just to clarify my role here: I'm handling the escrow/transfer of old NAUT to NXTNAUT, as well as acting as a liaison between the Nautilus/Drachmae/Coinstructors teams and the Nxt community. Plus a bit of community relations here that seems to have crept in to my role somehow.......

With my escrow hat on : I won't allow any NAUT holder to get shafted on the exchange.
If you turn up with valid NAUT, even a couple of months down the line, it should be possible to redeem it.

Having said that, the NAUT network will start to die off as everyone moves to the Nxt-based coin, and at a certain moment it will become impractical/impossible to make transfers. So, yeah, hodl 'til the Drachmae exchange is fully operational, but not too much longer.

@EvilDave thanks that helps a lot.
I'll try to see if I can convert a small amount with the manual process and see how it goes. Or else I will stick to my plan of doing it as soon as the exchange opens.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: October 07, 2015, 02:58:00 PM
When will the "official" conversion process from NAUT -> NXTNAUT announced ?
And how is that planned, done via an exchange ? or otherwise ?

this is the conversion
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.msg12441796#msg12441796

Thanks, I saw that too. Hence the air quotes around the word official in my post Smiley
Because, that's a lot of manual steps i.e. room to make a mistake and cumbersome.

Can it be simpler ?

Never mind I just saw this in the thread:

For holders of small NAUT balances, and people who only have NAUT on exchanges and don't want to run the full client:
the official Drachmae exchange will be up inside a week or two,
and will offer an automated redemption system for NAUT > NXTNAUT on the exchange itself.

Can anyone confirm if this is still the case ?

yes i believe they will still be doing that as theres over 1 mil naut to still be transferred

Well....the redemption process could be simpler, but it's also designed to ensure that the entire process is secure and that people who receive their NXTNAUT have a safe, secure Nxt account to store and transfer their fresh and shiny NXTNAUT.
So far, we've handled almost 80% of the old NAUT in circulation, without any problems. (Touch wood, just in case  Cheesy)

The Drachmae exchange will indeed offer automated conversion, but is not yet live.
Take a look here:
https://www.drachmae.exchange/

Once the exchange is live and running smoothly, the manual redemption will close.

And, here's the Nautilus launch on the Holidays in Agistri site:

(click the pic for link)

@EvilDave thanks a LOT for the detailed response.

I am in no rush to convert, since I've no plans of selling my NAUT (new or old) Smiley
Is it still safe to wait for the exchange to get the conversion done ? I plan on doing it as soon as the exchange goes live.

I just want to be told ... "nope too late" (i.e. I don't want to be screwed Smiley)

The rex richlist changed today, someone entered second with 90k coins, its like they were desperate to stock up...

90k coins is 2nd place on the richlist?  That can't be right, that's low.

Anybody have a link to the trex richlist?  Thx

just log in to bittrex.com and check the distribution tab

Guys, Bittrex distrubution tab is not the richlist for any coin. It's the balances that they see on the exchange (if my understanding is correct).
Guess this is what you are looking for: http://naut.blockexp.info/richlist

fully mined? op says 16,180,000 total coins , cmc about 5,3 mil. Can anybody explain, please.
NAUT was originally supposed to be 16 mil but inflation was too high.

So the total supply is now only 5,3 mil? Wow that's awesome! I just found out about NAUT from reading this article on Flipboard http://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/id/102815706 (twitted it immediately  Wink ) The project sounds really interesting/promising, I went and bought some on Bittrex  Smiley
BTW you guys should update op with the correct coin supply.

I'm a long time supported of NAUT and I don't recall anything about inflation being too high and cutting down the supply to 5.3 million.  I'm pretty sure it's still 16.1 million coins.  If anyone has any credible info on the supply please correct me if I am wrong.

Vlad you stated that this coin is fully mined, how did you come to this conclusion?

Cheers.

I believe this happened during the POS transition craziness. The mining rewards were set to stop around ~4 Million coins and POS was supposed to kick-in.
I wonder if the mining rewards were reduced during that period. I am not sure about that part, but 5.3 M total supply seems to be about right.

Edit: Of course everyone knows what happened to the POS idea, so I am not commenting on that.
