Naut Hit 1 mil Market Cap
sup haters =)
And that's without the exchange, with little to no PR and with no hype. Wait until the show starts in about 1-2 weeks. In my opinion there already was quite some PR lately, namely the articles on Forbes and CNBC, and the movie by BK for CNBC. I am a 100% supporter of NAUT so dont get me wrong. I am just curious what is planned for the coming 1-2 weeks?

Thanks, I saw that too. Hence the air quotes around the word official in my post Because, that's a lot of manual steps i.e. room to make a mistake and cumbersome. Can it be simpler ? Never mind I just saw this in the thread: For holders of small NAUT balances, and people who only have NAUT on exchanges and don't want to run the full client: the official Drachmae exchange will be up inside a week or two, and will offer an automated redemption system for NAUT > NXTNAUT on the exchange itself.
Can anyone confirm if this is still the case ? yes i believe they will still be doing that as theres over 1 mil naut to still be transferred Well....the redemption process could be simpler, but it's also designed to ensure that the entire process is secure and that people who receive their NXTNAUT have a safe, secure Nxt account to store and transfer their fresh and shiny NXTNAUT. So far, we've handled almost 80% of the old NAUT in circulation, without any problems. (Touch wood, just in case ) The Drachmae exchange will indeed offer automated conversion, but is not yet live. Take a look here: https://www.drachmae.exchange/Once the exchange is live and running smoothly, the manual redemption will close. And, here's the Nautilus launch on the Holidays in Agistri site: (click the pic for link)

I am in no rush to convert, since I've no plans of selling my NAUT (new or old) Is it still safe to wait for the exchange to get the conversion done ? I plan on doing it as soon as the exchange goes live. I just want to be told ... "nope too late" (i.e. I don't want to be screwed )

Just made a few payouts of NXTNAUT for tonight, slightly earlier today than usual: (need some beauty sleep)https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.msg12441796#msg12441796@newra: Just to clarify my role here: I'm handling the escrow/transfer of old NAUT to NXTNAUT, as well as acting as a liaison between the Nautilus/Drachmae/Coinstructors teams and the Nxt community. Plus a bit of community relations here that seems to have crept in to my role somehow....... With my escrow hat on : I won't allow any NAUT holder to get shafted on the exchange. If you turn up with valid NAUT, even a couple of months down the line, it should be possible to redeem it. Having said that, the NAUT network will start to die off as everyone moves to the Nxt-based coin, and at a certain moment it will become impractical/impossible to make transfers. So, yeah, hodl 'til the Drachmae exchange is fully operational, but not too much longer.

This exchange being launched is serious business - it takes a year and about a million dollars to get licensed for fiat.
Therefore...
I think BK is going to announce some big partners or VC's around the time of the exchange launch next week.
Anybody else feeling this or am I wishful thinking?

Im hoping you're right but I had a look at the exchange website (haven't signed up yet) and can't find anything about fiat on it. I hope I'm wrong?

This is from the Drachmae.exchange FAQ: What fiat currencies can I trade digital currencies with? "You will be able to trade fiat currencies as soon as the beta period finishes. We will initially support USD, EUR, GBP, SGD and AUD. More currencies will be added in due course."

NAUT holder talking,
what is the reason to change from NAUT to NXTNAUT??
What kind of branding strategy is that???
Swap are never a good idea.
I'll tell you what's gonna happen:
Some people will lose the opportunity to swap them and you will have the forum full of trolls and then the dev team will say: We're tired of the trolls, Then NAUT will have a value of 0BTC, same as NXTNAUT
My experience from previous Swaps

NXTNAUT is a purely temporary name.....once the swap is over, there will be only Nautilus (NAUT). Branding stays the same (well, updated a bit) Right now, the swap is 80% complete, so to avoid confusion we still use NAUT (old PoW) and NXTNAUT (new Nxt MS-based coin) And that's the reason for the swap: BK/Drachmae had a good use case for a currency, but couldn't make it run using NAUT on the old blockchain, hence the swapover to a more feature rich system, ie Nxt Monetary System. Swap will stay open as long as needed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.0This redemption will move over to the new Drachmae exchange when it opens, I've posted a few times before here about the not very strict deadline for swaps. So far, everyone who's done the swap is happy (I hope), and the Drachmae project has taken NAUT from a market cap of round $40,000 to $917,000.

EvilDave (Stern reference?) - thanks for doing what you're doing, and for being a voice of clarity - good explanations, an impressive level of patience, etc. Much better than Lee, with his obfuscating questions and answers, antagonistic challenges to the community, etc.

hi, yesterday i made the mistake to send NAUT from cryptsy to bittrex, which did not arrive, due to recent changes. as i understood, bittrex has already swapped old coins to new coins but cryptsy not and my old bittrex wallet address is obsolete now. bittrex support only wrote i should get in contact with the developer, so does the developer now have the old bittrex wallets after the swapping at bittrex or how can i probably get help?
best regards, mmmd

I'm in the same boat as you. I've got a good portion of Naut at Cryptsy. My Naut Wallet isn't synching either so can't do the conversion with Evil Dave for NxtNaut. I'm waiting for a solution, hopefully Cryptsy comes thru with one.

Old-skool Quake handle.....and I appreciate the thanks. I've had some practice over the last 2 years...... Lee is very good at what he does, which is to make projects actually happen in the 'real' commercial/financial/business world. Face to face, he makes a lot of sense, I've met lots of big players who take him very seriously. But he doesn't communicate very well on IM/fora, and has lousy conflict resolution skills. Having criticised him a bit, just remember that there would have been no Drachmae project without Lee. @mmmd: Not good. Really. Exchange to exchange transfers are always dodgy, for this very reason. If shit goes wrong, you are stuck with 2 separate support desks to deal with. In theory, your NAUT should be on the old Bittrex NAUT wallet created for your account.....if the Cryptsy tx went successfully. The wallets are still on Bittrex, in theory, though Trex have sent all of their old NAUT to redemption for NXTNAUT. Hopefully, they will have a wallet (maybe in backup) that can be accessed. Have you got any wallet addresses/tx ID you can PM me ? I'll take a look at the situation and see what we can do.

Wallet sync issues could probably be soved by providing your NAUT client with some nodes via nautiluscoin.conf, as detailed in Step One of the redemption thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.0
