This coin looks new, i'll try to mine a few

Welcome! Always good to see new people finding their way to COIN. You will find that we still have a low diff, and you should be able to get a good pile of COIN by mining.  Wink
Anyway, if you have some suggestions on sites where COIN should be present, please do not hesitate in posting your input on this board.

Good luck.

Question: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483847.new#new

Is this a spin off from COIN ? i am not sure is it the same Dev, and any idea where our Dev gone to ?? lol

Yea, that holiday seems to be long lasting  Wink
Anyway he always said "A coin can survive without its developer, but not without community."
He is probably watching us from the sideline to test his theory. Maybe he will be back soon when he sees how good we are doing.  Smiley

Good to see nenzo007 on it as well, took quite a bit off my roll I think Sad. Heh.

Hehe, yea, sorry about that Shuxy.  Wink Got extremely lucky with a long strike of high bets.
The good thing about it is that I got the chance to test the withdrawal section on your site, and can confirm it worked like a dream.
I will be back. Maybe you will win round 2!

Just setup my faucet to work with Coin some hours ago!

However, it is dry as an unused diaper Smiley

If the devs (or anyone else) can help filling the faucet... it would be great Cheesy

Faucet donation address: CPfvVEgVSDHy4pHhpdrjakZaHnhzR8HkEG

Also, if there's a bounty, i would gladly like to claim it here: CcxhK11KJXAvkwnGbC3szbAqWLcr33PMLN

Happy dripping!

Very good initiative! I will use my own hard mined COIN to help fill the faucet. Just sent you 10000 COIN. Hope it is ok for a start?
And I hope other members of the community also will help a bit.  Smiley

Hi all,

It's been a while. My COIN Dice site is live: http://coindice.supercrypt.co/

Do give it a try, ping me if you find any bugs Smiley!

Thanks!

Another feedback: You write that profit can be "Max 1000 COIN per bet". However I was still able to bet 1500 COIN at odds 2. You should handle that in some way.

Cool Shuxy.  Cool
You have created the first site besides exchanges where COIN can be used! I will add your site to the main post immediately.

As a "bounty" I have tested your game and lost several thousand COINs already  Grin

It works fine, however there seems to be a little cosmetic bug.
When I signed up the balance showed "0E-8" instead of just "0" as I would have expected.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COIN - Cryptocurrency for real world applications on: April 02, 2014, 03:57:38 PM
i voted at cryptoaltex.com also every day  Grin

Good to hear, and we are doing great! A few more votes and COIN will take position no. 1 at Cryptokk !   Smiley

Except confusing name, is there something new in this Coin coin ?

Our name is our ticker: "COIN", and that is cool!  Cool
We don't need a dedicated field for a name, so 3. party sites usually puts our description there instead. "Cryptocurrency for real world applications"

COIN was never about new features, but rather creating a multipurpose coin that works good. And indeed it succeeds in that matter.
Smooth fair launch, wallet that syncs fast, payments that clear quickly and last but not least a small loyal, but growing community.

casted 5 votes on cryotokk.com  Grin i do it twice a day, i never thought that someone noticed we are 2nd rank there.  Cheesy

Well done! Keep up the good work. Do you mind voting for CryptoAltex in addition? You only need to do it once a day  Wink

I've seen this before.
Why is it being re-[ANN] ..?

dev is on holiday, and we needed control of main post of the thread as it started getting way outdated. Sorry for the confusion.
But please join us, diff is low!
Even solomining is still very easy. I did mine a bit yesterday with 450 kh/s and found 2 blocks in no time.   Smiley

Please vote

Some of you have asked how you can help COIN.
One way you can help for sure is by voting. The few of us that have voted regularly have succeeded in getting COIN pretty high ranked on the two exchanges below. We will eventually reach the goal, but it could be so much faster if the rest of you also helped us in this matter.

CryptoALTeX https://www.cryptoaltex.com/index.php?page=newcoin
1 vote per day for members. Cryptos with more than 100 votes have a chance to enter the exchange.
COIN currently has 36 votes, and is ranked as No. 6 out of 39 coins.

Cryptokk.com http://www.cryptokk.com/?p=votes
1 vote every second hour for members. The exchange uses the voting to check the interest for the specific cryptocurrency.
COIN currently has 38 votes, and is ranked as No. 2 out of 131 coins!

Please let me know if I missed anything in the main post of this thread. I went through the old thread and think I got everything, but information was spread all over during the last weeks.
I have changed the title as suggested.

Btw Great work with the Mac Wallet! That looks really good to have in the main post.  Smiley

Hello everybody!

coin-project hasnt been around for a while, and I really feel it is time to update the main post of this thread.
I have therefore created a new user, and a new thread with updated information.
If/when coin-project returns I will hand over the username/password with no questions.
Let me hear what you think. If we want to take COIN further we need to move on.

The new thread can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=551854

I'm in for a bit because I have been wondering about the names and how they would cope irl too - however, the 11.5M premine and no asic-proof future plans raises some concerns. Incase Coin would hit one dollar, for instance, I'm positive the dev simply would dump and walk away. Please address these concerns, tyvm.

Welcome, nice to see new members around here.  Smiley
I can see you have gotten some great answers already, but I would like to add my opinion. In regards of the premine I don't consider it a problem at all. First of all it was the terms we all agreed on when we started to mine. It was announced from the beginning that it had been premined, and that a lot of it would be used for bounties.
I will also add that I think it is fair that the dev should have a COIN or two for the great work he has put initially  Wink

COIN has not until now shown any signs of a typical launch where everything is about dumping and forgetting.
if/when we hit one dollar, it would be far away from now, and COIN will at that point be strong enough to survive a dump.
The market on c-cex has since the very start been remarkable stable where you typically can sell COIN for 19 satoshis or buy for 27.

We are a small, but stubborn community. COIN is about building up something from the start with hard work and a lot of patience. We are still in an early phase where mining is very lucrative and I am pretty sure community will increase soon now that we slowly are getting more exposure.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★★★ [COIN] ★★★★★ on: March 26, 2014, 05:49:44 PM
@coin-project, it is not the right way to support the project. You haven't shown yourself up for quite a long time and it is really bad. You are the only COIN developer (I suppose) at the moment and I really hope that you are not going to abandon COIN in the very beginning of its path.

He mentioned a holiday in one of the last posts, but I also expect him back soon. Lets wait until end of week, and then revisit the issue.

Great news!
I have been in dialogue with the exchange https://bittrex.com/ and they have shown interest in adding us to the exchange!  Cool
I will let you know as soon as I have more info.

We also have our nice COIN page on their site: http://whatmine.com/coin/368/Coin-COIN-Scrypt-Profitability

I like this site. I contacted them yesterday evening, and they added us over night!

coin-project, please put this on the top of this thread. We could have an "Other" section or similar for pages where we are present.
