41  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Group Buy Antminer S2 $1650.- May 25th - 100/100 -42 More- Official Distributor on: May 21, 2014, 10:45:59 AM
At these low hardware prices, what it really comes down to is power efficiency and (resulting) hosting costs.

In July/August you will spend the same amount of $ on the actual hardware as you do on power / year.

Therefore, i would advise everyone to carefully calculate their personal hosting costs, including power consumption, cooling and space.
Even when hosting at home, you pay for the space as the room hosting all your equipment will not be of use for much more than maybe storing heat-resistant items.

I agree , I will choose trading instead of mining at this point which is more practical.... Smiley Smiley Smiley

I am going to wait because i think that the miners price is going to drop at least 50% in a month i see all manufacturers are competing...
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese government may disturb main bitcoin websites on: May 21, 2014, 07:41:33 AM
Guys Chinese will use proxies to access the bit coin websites as they are doing it for Facebook, hence its not going to make any difference I think china government is scared of bit coins because they think it may effect their yuan value if people adopt dealing in btc....

52  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Biggest Bitcoin Mining Operation in Texas on: May 18, 2014, 07:07:16 PM
Just sharing a video of our mining rig.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFuTeDWXiLw&feature=gp-n-y

12 HashLast.. Sorry HashFast Baby Jets
155 BitMain Antminers
2 Scrypt rigs

I am selling scrypt rigs and R9 290s if anyone is interested.

Houston, TX

For the love of god. Please don't buy from HashFast. I would be surprised if they have one satisfied customer (besides their 3rd party vendors who are buying our MPP/Upgrades while we wait for vaporware)

WOW
53  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much hashrate is going to be delivered over the next two months on: May 18, 2014, 06:47:15 PM
I believe that the reason why hash rate is not increasing is because high efficiency ASICs  manufacturers who book the pre orders long ago increased the hash rate long ago as well  , now they have made double profits and they are ready to ship the machines hence once delivered buyer would just plug it and start mining but it will not make any difference to the network hash rate because the machines were already mining for  manufacturers.

I am sure that only people who are making big money is Asic manufacturers and early adopters of bitcoins.

People are dumping and holding as well , it depends on your choice..

That doesn't seem to tally with what's showing up in the blockchain stats over the last few days. The peak hashing rate surged to over 90 PH/s yesterday and now seems to be pretty close to 70. The hash rate increases have to slow down this year because we're very close to the limits of the ASIC technologies that are commercially available right now but there's still a lot of margin that can be eroded and that will see rates continue climbing. I doubt we'll see 10x in 4 months anymore but 10x in the next 8 to 12 months seems quite possible.

Lets see what happens in 8 to 12 months I am looking forward to it, meanwhile i am going to trade some BTC and make some profits.

Does anyone know how to mine this SOLO?Huh

And if its still worth mining it solo??

Thanks

dont do it. find a real coin. this one has 200 million manufactured already. in one day.

Thank you for your advise , can you suggest any other potential new coin?

Bitcoin is a nice choice over 12 million mined already.  It's best for you to buy if you can't mine.. Mining will be over in the next few days, grab any coins you can.

I have been mining BTC with 2THS but i am looking for some scrypt based coins for my 12x 290X i mined and holding over 100 LTC i stopped mining LTC since last difficulty pump..

55  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: May 06, 2014, 08:23:38 PM
I wanted to refuse my miner, find out there's no point in doing that cos i have a risk to not see any money back or miner . also there's no point in crying here at all or in any other place,to sue the company and declare bankrupt ...i don't know i don't have the tools and support for that, but i know this in case will happen will make all others that still wait to lose their money.my advice is to take this as a lesson about pre-orders.i got my own lesson for sure.and i can tell for sure Girogio don't have any peace in his mind because he know all this delays screwed up many people plans and dreams and is not a funny thing to be one target for all this negative thoughts from people.
another thing for newbies... do not jump for pre-orders and do not dare to dream when is about bitcoin business.
I will take my miner this week from courier and try to sell it if it works ,if not i will do mining with till i still afford  a good balance then that's it.bye bye

good luck to everyone!

If BitMine is declared bankrupt (and it already is, since it is not refunding those that are entitled ) and it still has some valuable assets, everybody will get a share of its assets which is better than:

- having nothing
- having a miner which will not even repay itself and which will mine just a few bitcents in its whole lifetime
- having to spend more money in electricity to power such miners

spiccioli

I agree with you.

58  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Future of earning with my 1.6TH Cointerra on: May 06, 2014, 07:45:47 PM

Guys these Chinese guys are making big money...and speculating the price when they want.

They are indeed, around 3800 new BTC are mined everyday in average; most of them are probably hold

The beauty is you can get 100BTC for just 45,000USD and be very well positioned for the next spike up in price; no mining, no additional costs, just 45,000USD

I completely agree... Smiley
59  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mine, or Buy? on: May 06, 2014, 07:34:53 PM
If you want to mine do it with this power otherwise no fast returns.

Am I understanding it correctly, that the person keep about 280BTC on ghash.io?  Huh

I really do not know but I think with the hash power he has he makes about 30 BTC a day hence 280 is not big deal for him to hold... Smiley
60  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mine, or Buy? on: May 06, 2014, 07:27:47 PM
In the current market, it is certainly more cost effective to buy directly, unless you want to dig for fun,
but you have to hold it, do not sell too early

I agree with you but it will only be fun mining when you have lot of $$$$$$ to burn!!!!
