The complete lack of dev communication concerns me far more than the price.

At this point, I'm not very concerned about the fiat price of Credits. The Devs are making a great decision in the pseudo rebranding as a gambling coin for the time being. This coin has serious potential, and I'm not just saying that as a holder of Cr. There's real use coming for this Altcoin, and that's what separates it from the pack.

Good job Devs. I'm setting aside a large amount of credits to be used for promotions (Poker tournament winnings, or whatever other promotions you might be thinking about.)

Thank you, supporters like you guys are the ones who will be rewarded and while we've had some missteps (mainly around release) we're going to maximize the current momentum that we have.  ANYONE who has any PR contacts either PLEASE PM me their contact info, or write to them yourself.  This worked at the time of release, and I personally think that it can work wonders at this point in time (especially with two weeks left of high block reward).

I'll brainstorm and think up some potential marketing strategies/targets. You have a Reddit presence, so upon the opening of the Poker room, a big announcement would be in order in their general Crypto forum(Explaining that an entire casino is planned, as well,) not to mention on this forum. That's the simplest way with zero overhead. Then the community needs to do its duty in spreading the word and bumping threads.

Another thing is solidifying the brand. Are we currently the "main" credit coin? I don't see much activity with the others that call themselves "Credits." The Casino will certainly establish Cr as the primary "Credit" named coin. That's a good roadmap goal, as one of the first objectives... though the Gambling rebrand will likely knock out two birds with one stone.

Another donation on its way. I like where things are going.

Fantastic updates. If you continue to be this proactive on the communication front, this coin will garner a community like Feathercoin.

ETA: Regarding updates, I think Worldcoin has an excellent model for that. Perhaps you could do something similar for your main website

http://www.worldcoinalliance.net/worldcoin-news-and-announcements/

Interested parties who don't want to dig through thousands of forum posts can simply see right off the bat that the Devs are constantly involved, maybe even put a "ticker" on the main page, something that shows at first glance from the home page that things are moving along.

It may seem petty, but this is the very basis of marketing. Ease of notice. Think of the ways 99.9%of people will first find your coin, and make sure what they'll see (the gateway) conveys an active dev team, and a growing coin.

Answers and stuff

Thank you very much! Glad to hear all of that. Can't wait to see what all is in store.

Also, stable market cap hit 6100 today! By the end of the week, it will likely be well above 10k STABLE. Exciting times. And this is prior to the reward block lowering, who knows where it will get to in the next 60 days, with the proposed releases you mentioned.

Calling people names, cussing at them etc, doesn't that just put you beneath the people you are trying to punish with your words?

I called you a thuggish idiot for being a thuggish idiot.

If I call the man who delivers my mail the "mail man" have I punished him with my words?

You advocate extorting people who don't meet your standards. That is the definition of a thuggish idiot.

I have reread the original launch document, as well as the updated front page and while ALL of my other requests (through PM and on the forum) have been effectively ignored, allow me to try again. This time in a more aggressively enumerated fashion.

This coin is about a month old. There are lots of positive signs. A growing market cap, active exchange for its age, great concept and a forward thinking objective. However....

1: Where is the poker room? In all product launches, there are hangups. I don't expect everything to go smoothly, but if this is to be an active, open community that fosters faith and development, I expect the developers to keep the community informed, even if information is to explain a delay. The "In a couple days" has been pitched since the beginning for the month. Is something wrong with the implementation? Since the first goal date was missed, what is the new goal date?

2: A lot of emphasis on your final objective is focused on usability in the end market (ie. ability to exchange for product.) How do you intend on getting there? That's a lofty goal, so I'm curious what your plan is. I sent money to the marketplace to buy a game called Blockland. It's still pending, so something is odd there.

3: You're asking for over $1000.00 from the community for an online wallet, an Android wallet, and a place on an exchange I've never heard of. I propose to you, that while those things are nifty features, how exactly do they help forward the goals of this coin? Is there really such a clambering for an Android wallet, that you believe that is the main thing your coin currently lacks? I believe there are significantly more important things that could be done with 1200 dollars. Getting on a well known exchange, actual marketing (buying advertisements,) Programing new USABLE features, such as additions to the online casino, which could actually have a small percentage take to help fund future projects. In fact expanding the poker room into an online Vegas style casino could reap a small fortune.

You should be focused on increased exposure, and implementing things that generate revenue. I assume you've done your research and aren't just piddling away money, can you explain why those things are taking precedence of the things I've mentioned?

4: As has been suggested multiple times, actual updates, perhaps daily (and not just friendly hellos) would go a long way in garnering faith in the coin. Even if there's nothing to report.

5: Again, an actual roadmap that list ALL current objectives, and how you plan to achieve them. That really should be the very first thing you do.

Again, I hate sounding negative. I really do think this is one of the more promising Altcoins and I very much want it to do well. But I'm growing very concerned with the vague non-answers. I've asked these questions in a numbered fashion, to avoid confusion I ask that you kindly answer them in the same.

This coin can definitely go places. Please work on fostering a community, because the community drives the coin. This time of increasing block reward is already drawing attention. Now is the time for a media blitzkrieg. Instead we appear to have a Sitzkreig.

I have a significant mining operation devoted to this coin. I've donated a lot of the coin I've mined. I'm not just some sideliner making silly demands. These are fair questions from an active patron in your business structure.

And if you are having genuine hangups or issues please don't stay silent about it.  A lot of folks here are very optimistic about the potential here and are willing to offer expertise.  Hell you could buy expertise with BTC if need be.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 23, 2014, 05:22:38 AM
true crypto currency is decentralized.

I agree, its time to flush out the "Shitcoins"

So, it should be decentralized, but you advocate a group that "hassles" (your words) coins you don't think should be on the market out of the market?

What in the fuck is wrong with you?

You thuggish idiots realize that all burgeoning markets are met with saturation, then the truly capable products rise out of the garbage to be twice as marketable due to the defeat of competition?

This is how markets work.

If you're right and everyone else is wrong then I guess nothing more can be said to a skull so thick and a brain so dense

Don't forget spunk got fired from WENDYS for starting too much shit with his coworkers. No that is not a joke or insult, its truth

His experience at Wendy's must have been what taught him how to identify market trends and scope well enough to lead a vigilante army on the internet to cyber bully coins out of existence.

OR his pathetic life led him to cyber bully out of misplaced anger for his own failures.

Take your pick.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 23, 2014, 03:30:43 AM
are you really that stupid or are you guys just contrarians looking for an argument or something (look it up on wikipedia idiots)

So, a contrarian is someone who disapproves of criminal extortion as a method to create favorable market conditions for the extortioners.

Interesting definition you have there.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CREDITS: 16 DAYS LEFT OF INCREASING BLOCK REWARD on: March 22, 2014, 09:29:40 PM
Can we get an actual estimate of the gambling site? A "couple days" doesn't stretch from Mar 4'th to Mar 22nd  Wink

Also, I think it would bring a lot of confidence to this coin if you'd actual release a dev roadmap, and weekly progress reports. The way coins die isn't in the market. It's in the community.

+1

Devs, you know how the things work around here. Frequent status updates is one of the keys to survival early on. If you got nothing to report, do a status update anyway, people care more about active devs than the train actually moving somewhere.

Yep. Lots of large claims, but very little to support it yet.
Don't get me wrong, I love the concept and have donated a lot of what I've mined to the Devs. But I'd like to see at minimum a solid explanation of plans, and most importantly WHEN AND HOW they plan to achieve them.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 07:53:55 PM
If you, or anyone here, wanted to certify a coin, it'd require a group with actual authority that had some respect from the community. Who would respect anyone who has agreed to the ideas outlined in this thread (besides criminals)?

That's central authority. May as well deal in USD if a central groups "certifies" shit.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 07:51:20 PM
You selfish kids are taking money out of our pockets and the proof is watching honest coins die off and plummet in value

You realize, in a free market, sometimes this happens. If you attempt to control it with threats, it's no longer a free market.

Good investors do the research and understand the risks. Become a good investor, or lose your money.

It's becoming more and more obvious, this entire "operation" is an attempt to desaturate the market so whatever coin YOU invested in does better.

Quote

Surely they'd want valuation, nothing wrong with being rich internationally, but its not at all necessary for the success of the coin as a currency for Lakotas. Their only risk is having the inflation and supply dominated externally - whales abroad would have the power to manipulate supply and the price of goods within the reserve. They don't need investors. "Investor", unless they're local, means coins being owned outside the reserve. Its counter-intuitive. Its actually better for the coin if we all lose interest - the only people left to pick up the torches would be those with an actual reason to own the coin beyond speculation (Lakotas). . . If Maza reaches a high price its unlikely that would happen because of Lakota investors. High price means the coin is dominated outside the reserve; high price could very well doom MZC to failure.

And the problem with USD isn't the inflation itself but the fact that tyrants control the flow and distribution. There is NO free market, the currency is controlled completely. This is not true in cryptos (the good ones) - they have predictable inflation that is randomly distributed. Its a fair system where no one gets to run things. Decentralized vs Centralized > that's the advantage.

I said it earlier and I'll repost what I said in reference to how the importance of outside valuation is (i.e., from the investors):

I think you're dead wrong with the assumption that the tribe will set the "real price" of the coin, and here's why: Say they have a grocery store and someone wants to buy 1 weeks worth of food with 80 maza lets say, the whole supply chain would have to agree on such a price for it to work. So what this means is the grocery store pays for their supply of goods from outside vendors and distributors, who would have to agree to the maza standard and accept it's worth. Then, they would have to pay the individual food brands who supply the store in maza who would have to pay their workers in maza, etc...

The whole system breaks down immediately because if I want to buy a loaf of bread with 1 maza lets say, the store who is selling that loaf to me actually paid USD for it from their vendors, and so on and so on. The entire chain of supply would have to acknowledge to a universally standard of what 1 maza is really worth. Otherwise, the store clerk would say, "wait a sec, we just paid $1.50 for this bread in real money and now we're selling it for something worth less than a penny?"

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think adopting a different standard for the worth of maza outside of what the market says is completely pointless, because the supply chain simply won't allow it. Now if you have two people who independently create something and sell/trade with each other, then yes, they can price 1 maza for whatever they want. Once you add in outside factors of the supply chain, then you would have to convince each and every factor to adopt the "real price" according to the tribe.  The supply chain extends to everything you could think of...buildings, streets, schools, food, gas...whatever. Each industry has multiple supply chains and countless companies who agree to the USD value of goods and services. I highly doubt anyone of those checkpoints in the supply chain are going to spend millions of USD on supplies or services and get paid on the backend with the "real value" of maza. Sure, they can get paid with maza, so don't get me wrong there. But the price of each maza will solely depend on USD market value.

So, it truly is the investors who set the price of the coin and not the tribe saying, "No, Maza is worth $1 each on the reservation." It doesn't work that way because 99.9% of the supply chain works outside of the reservation to produce the goods and services to bring into the reservation and as such, it spends USD in doing so.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well of course you're right, but I assumed that it would be treated like other natural currencies. You could make the same argument about the USD/Euro.

Yes, it will have to stablize in price before it gets adopted in a fashion that third party non-traditional users would consider dealing in it, but for local transactions within the Lakota Nation that do not rely on external logistics (such as agricultural, carpentry, etc...) I could see it working. You'd have to deal in USD for things imported for the time being, but internally created items and services could work, provided the service providers were able to procure some USD for imported items.

As kelsey says, we're just trying to clean up, and protect newbies.

That's not how financial markets work. If you try to make them work that way, you may as well stick to the dollar. The concept of making things "fair" is the very foundation of currency manipulation. "Newbies" should research before investing. That's a key part to the free market. But since you're lying, and this has nothing to do any grand cause, it really doesn't matter.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 03:18:11 AM
Ok back on topic.

I think its clear there is a problem here, problem being to many scams run within the crypto community. It maybe big news to all the newbies in this thread but not everyone is here for the fiat.

Many of the anti clean-uppers think those wishing to clean up are a destructive force, which simply isn't the case, we see issues that need fixing.

Seems alot of newbies in here, with their eye more on fiat then cryptocurrency.

This section of the forum should be about discussing ideas in alternative currency, not simply a section plugging the latest pump n dump copy paste scam like its become.

You're full of shit. There are multiple people in this thread advocating for extortion. The free market regulates itself, not by vigiliantism claiming to be operating for a higher cause.

Vote with your wallet. The scam coins WILL die out, by their very nature. The intelligent investors and the solid coins will remain, and they'll have won by free market principle, not by fascist assholes deciding who wins.

By abusing the system to destroy things you don't like, you're actually demonstrating a serious problem with the system overall. You're a way worse problem than the scam coins.

I suspect he probably just realized how fucking stupid he sounded, so now he's going to pretend he wasn't serious.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 01:49:25 AM
haha you are giving a text book definition of extortion. If you want to pay them for this "service," you can do so. If you tell someone else to pay for a service YOU want, by an implied threat? Extortion.

Hang on a sec.

If that's the definition of extortion, then the government has been extorting us since forever.  The SEC and organizations protect investors and people from being hurt by unscrupulous individuals.  Of course there's going to be a cost.

There's a fine line between extortion and public service.  This effort isn't just being launched by a bunch of noobs.  From what I can tell, we've got a group of standup senior members/hero members who would be organizing it.  I find it hard to believe that they would turn this into something that resembles extortion.  I don't think they would be putting up this effort if they are only in it for themselves.

Anyways, at the end of the day the key people that get hurt are scammy altcoin devs anyways.  So what if they lose some money and we take them, they're making much more in other ways I'm sure.

I would fully support this group taxing the entire altcoin community some amount so that we can maintain order.

Yes, the .Gov does extort citizens. The very thing these Crypto coins would like to subvert.

A public service isn't one forced at gun point.

The fact you support "taxing the entire altcoin community?"

You're a piece of shit.
