101  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 27, 2015, 07:57:32 AM
jesus, I haven't even visited havelock in a while.... I could make a sweet 0.67 BTC right now (minus fees) for my 100 shares of AM1...

I'm torn. Not if I should sell or not, but, between;

A) who the FUCK would buy them, and do I really want to hurt some poor fool and burn him of ~ half a BTC?
and
B) Do I sit on it, be kind to the community and any naive persons out there, in hopes some type of news might spike the price to...i dunno... 0.7 BTC?

I have to laugh, because otherwise, I will start to cry.

Will buy them for 0.0067!

Why? Really, is it worth it in any way after they disappeared?
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Big Picture on: May 27, 2015, 07:49:53 AM
usually the cycle look like a big dump first, then stagnation then a rise again, so we could be on the right track now

Could you tell, exactly, when did this happen in the past?
Thanks

106  Other / Meta / Re: Influx of Hacked Accounts on: May 26, 2015, 06:05:10 PM
I can see how many people are just going to ignore this ever even happened and are not planning to change their password. Sure, it may be hard to obtain the actual password, but it is not impossible either. I am hoping at least the most prominent users will use reason.

Exactly, a lot of users (people) don't understand how to protect after an hack their account... but they will surely cry sooner or later and say "why my account was hacked, why I can't access on my account, bla bla?". This is the funny thing, in my honest opinion theymos should send also a general PM here in the forum and say "you should change the password, because the forum was hacked... ". I know he sent an email, but a lot of users are using a random e-mail.

Yes it should definitely be in the news as a red alert.
I know already of two hero accounts being hacked, this is serious business.
107  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will 21 Inc chips bring in faster hash rate than existing ASICs ? on: May 26, 2015, 06:01:27 PM
Is a new arms race coming?

Also when they talk about embedded mining, do they mean mobile or what?

110  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Vote] Who did 911? on: May 26, 2015, 05:46:50 PM
It has been Al Qaeda. Stop tricking yourselves with strange theory, stop asking for negative demonstrations: not in logic, neither in law, they have any value.

A lot of researchers did investigate on the happenings. Stop listening to the profit-driven idea of 911profit, i mean, 911scam, whatever, 911truth.
111  Local / Trading, analisi e speculazione / Re: [AIUTO]Necessito una guida per il Trading da Zero on: May 26, 2015, 05:42:18 PM

112  Local / Trading, analisi e speculazione / Re: [TRADING] Cryptsy Exchange (discussione e problemi) on: May 26, 2015, 05:41:18 PM

113  Other / Meta / Re: How do I cancel my Bitcoin Forum account? on: May 26, 2015, 05:18:08 PM
Really, you can't delete your account?
Strange, that was difficult on facebook, same for google accounts, but.. bitcointalk? seriously?
114  Other / New forum software / Re: The 1.5 million dollar (5067 bitcoin) new bitcoin talk forum. on: May 26, 2015, 05:15:31 PM
I don't really see this excitement among members.
Unfortunately, those coins could have been spent in a better way i think.

Disclaimer: i really like SMF. I don't want to change this.

Note:only thing i'd change is, the hashing of secret answers, maybe a bit more won't be bad for the security.
115  Other / Meta / Re: About the recent server compromise on: May 26, 2015, 05:11:54 PM
Not sure if I missed it somewhere, but if the "secret question" field is blank, does this mean it is not set? I don't believe I ever set one in the past and want to make sure that is still the case.

Same question here, please let us know.

119  Economy / Economics / Re: The Next Step for Digital Currencies on: May 26, 2015, 02:39:54 PM
"by Charles Eisenstein"

10th September 2014

“With these learnings from the Bitcoin experiment, I would like to propose a new model for digital currency. The question is how make the issuance of and access to money egalitarian on the one hand, yet also regulate the money supply in an organic, decentralized way.”

https://blog.p2pfoundation.net/the-next-step-for-digital-currencies/2014/09/10

This as always been contemplated as a possibility by a lot of people over time,
yet nobody has found a way to have a decentralized, egalitarian model for issuing and distributing cryptocoins.

Maybe proof of ID? But that won't be decentralized at all.

The problem is much bigger than what it seems, and the article does not really say anything new.
