1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Abandon Unconfirmed trascaction after double-spend on: November 02, 2020, 03:26:08 AM
The two transactions had one common address as input. The remaining balance was not enough for both of the transactions. I don't mind to download the whole blockchain, will the reindex solve the problem?

I use prune mode and the command did not work. Should I use reindex?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Abandon Unconfirmed trascaction after double-spend on: November 02, 2020, 01:28:36 AM
I placed two transactions but the remaining balance was not enough for both. At that time I was experimenting with the Coin control. Eventually, one got confirmed but the other remains unconfirmed. Is there any way to remove it from the mempool? The abandon option is not available and it is unconfirmed. Will the nodes of the network remove it at some point? For both of these transactions, the option replace by fee was enabled.
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Non-zero final balance of input address on: October 27, 2020, 11:47:51 PM
I sent an amount to an address and my transaction has as input multiple addresses of my wallet. As a result, most of the input addresses have a non-zero final balance after the transaction. Is this normal? I know that there is a security issue if you use an address as input and it still has a positive balance after the transaction. I have seen this topic explained by Antonopoulos but I don't know if it is an important security issue. Is there a way to make my used addresses to have 0 final balance?

In the following video, Vitalik explains why Graig's presentation makes no sense I can understand some of his points however I can not hear everything and I don't understand everything because I am not familiar with all the terms and definitions. Could you please write down for me what he said? For instance, he is talking about the percent of the network which colludes with a miner, he calls that "kyano" or something? Also, he says "for NP-hard problem we can implement heuristic solutions which are..."   what?  ".....near-optimal in practice"?

But why the scam links in the description of the youtube?

I did not upload the videos! the channel of the first one is trash. I will delete the first link.

You have to put the shovels down first before getting out of the hole!

If you know any papers which work as shovels please send me some in a direct message thanks!

It is not possible to mine with your phone. You can use the nice hash calculator to get a sense of the profit that you could possibly make. https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator

Thanks for your answer! The application is called Bitcoin wallet (it is the first suggestion on Bitcoin.org). I was trying to have the same wallet on two different devices (not sure if it is a good idea). I have only a small amount but I would like to make a transaction with my phone if I get a chance. From time to time the transaction fee is high to transfer funds from one wallet to another.
11  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Restoring a wallet on android phone on: July 01, 2019, 09:22:27 PM
I created a backup wallet on pc by using Bitcoin Core version v0.18.0 (64-bit) and I was trying to restore it on my phone. However, the app can not recognize (or locate) the file. However, I can restore a wallet which is created by the app itself. Is the type of files different?

I just saw that there is another section for wallets in this forum but I can not delete or move my post to the correct section. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This seems to be his strategy, good ol' martingale: Tongue
What a lucky man!He didnt stop after getting that 1BTC max reward. Who said that martingale doesnt work?  Grin

You can prove that it does not work and you can calculate the expected loss or the probability of winning. As time goes to infinity you lose anyway with probability 1. https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/83904/on-martingale-betting-system

lol this topic is still discussed? hha Cheesy

Eratosthenes calculated the earth's circumference 2300 years ago and we are still discussing this while we are building decentralized currencies, something is wrong here.
