Hey @TedMosby! @Mbitr made me aware of your little project. Funny enough I started the exact same thing just a few weeks after you did. I was unaware of your thread. I am trading up BTC collectibles, currently in the middle of my first trade. If I get any digital collectables I may swing by to see if you are up for a trade as well! Here is my thread if anyone wants to check it out. Want To Trade?Geophphreigh

I love this idea and definitely ready for a trade , please let me know when you’re ready for the next stage in your journey. I’ve got a few ideas in mind for a trade I’ll be watching this with keen interest and it would be great to see how far you can get Interestingly enough another forum member is doing something fairly similar - but only trading currencies ! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274318.0Sorry to go off topic Not off topic at all, @Mbitr! Very cool that others have thought of this idea as well, I love the idea of digital only trades. If I get any digital collectibles maybe I could trade with @TedMosby. Currently the first trade is underway and both stickers have been mailed. Now to wait out the postal delays. Would love to trade something with you and I can't wait to see what you got! Geo

I am willing to trade your small sticker, with a bigger and more colourful one. Tweetious! I love the sticker. Thank you for the first official offer. I accept your trade offer for my sticker. Will contact you via PM for exchange details. Man this is really cool! I've always been a sticker addict, I have loads of em, I'll edit this post later for a trade with you probably ! Owlcatz. Thank you for interest. Good news for you is that I now have another sticker to trade, if you are still so inclined. I will update for another trade once I complete the first trade. Thank you both for a fun start to this thread! Geo

Want To Trade? Background:I recently came across an interesting story by a man named Kyle MacDonald. His story was chronicled on his website, and I came across it on his TED talk. He detailed his bartering journey where over a year and 14 trades he traded a red paperclip for a house. His inspiration was a game, Bigger or Better. This idea of sequential trades for higher valued items is not new. Examples date back centuries, for example the Japanese Buddhist folk tale, Straw Millionaire. I would like to use One Red Paperclip as my inspiration to try a Bitcoin collectibles version. I have not heard of this being done in the Bitcoin community User @TedMosby is doing something similar (see edit at bottom). I would like to see what I can trade for. My bartering journey will be kept here in this thread. WTT: This is meant to be a fun thing. I am not trying to "make a buck." But I will be honest. I would like to see if I can eventually acquire some rare or valuable Bitcoin collectibles simply by trading up. If not, who cares, it's just for fun anyway. I don't really know if Kyle MacDonald had an endpoint in mind when he started, so I won't either, but rather will see where it takes me without any specific item I am trading for. Rules:- I will not trade for Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, that would be selling.
- Any items will be open for trade as long as they are cryptocurrency collectible related. While I would prefer Bitcoin items for this, others such as Litecoin, Ethereum, Monero etc. will be considered as well.
- I will only trade for the current item listed. I will not sell the current trade offer item for BTC, or swap out something in my own collection in order to make a trade.
- I will cover shipping for both traded items, from me and to the trader. So the trader will need to provide me with a Bitcoin address for me to reimburse shipping costs that we agree upon. Happy to use escrow for higher value items or privacy (if it gets that far I guess).
- Trade offers can be made in this thread or via PM. Successful trades will be posted in this thread to keep record and to show current item up for trade.
- Identity of the trader will be posted with the trade unless they would like to remain anonymous.
- I have the right to refuse any trade offer made. A trade offer does not mean I will agree to the trade.
- Please do not send any bitcoin to any PM sent, I will not ask for any payment for a trade or shipping. So please do not send your bitcoin.
- I have not made this a self moderated topic to prevent anyone from claiming censorship, but please keep posts on topic to trades, current items, or your thoughts about how the project is going.
Where to start:I went through some of my collectibles and found what I felt to be a common, low value item as a starting point for my trading. I have decided on this to start for the first trade offer: This is a generic Bitcoin Logo sticker. It measures 3 x 3 in. (7.6 x 7.6 cm) and is not special in anyway whatsoever. Please feel free to comment or follow along, and always happy to entertain trade offers if you are so inclined. Thanks for at least reading and maybe even participating! Not sure if this will help, but this is how I have embedded my pics previously. This may not be what you want, and I'm sure there are other better ways to post pictures, but this has worked well for me. I upload images to Imgur, post them as "hidden", and use links from that post. The code I use (thanks to @mitchell for help when I was learning): X = URL eg. https://imgur.com/a/rkyTCwzY = Image address (right click and copy image address from post on host website) eg. https://i.imgur.com/zybkwDB.jpgTo adjust size of pic add the letter "s", "m", or "l" after the last letter before ".jpg" in the image address eg. https://i.imgur.com/zybkwDBs,m,l.jpg This gives you small: This gives you medium: This gives you large: Resulting in a size adjusted, linked (clickable for increased size), embedded picture. You can repeat this code for each picture and center them, space them etc. with formatting based on each code input per separate picture Hope this helps, or is useful for someone out there. Geo

Got my coins. They look better in person than the pictures do, glad I picked a few up. Thought I'd share mine as well. I have submitted my purchase order to the maker, but have not seen that they are funded yet. Will update when mine are funded as well. Geophphreigh
