Hey guys, any updates on when QHost and MasternodeX are going to launch? I've heard that it's about to launch soon? Also is it really true that it will change the masternode space with the services it offers?

Word out on the street is soon. The team doesn't want to give timetables that cannot be reached.

Set low expectations, perform high.

Now let me ask you this question.

What happens, when a coin starts something that's going to drastically lower costs, increases rewards for customers and allows the exchange of masternodes using that specific coin?

Your guess is good as mine.

Following a tried and true model, binance is escalating its efforts with more features and services that will generate some value for the crypto space in the long term. But know this, how binance will move is definitely pointed to how CZ, or Changpeng Zhao will move. The wily entrepreneur who's also a coder at heart is a prolific and serial entrepreneur who will stop at nothing to achieve a goal he has set.

Today, as an exchange, Binance is the 4th largest exchange in terms of Bitcoin>USD trades with over $340,503,328 in 24h trading value.

What this entails, my friend is an opportunity for both you and me.

We can ride the coattails of binance and hang on to its gargantuan user base.

So, I've got this idea that I'm willing to share.

But first, let me beg for your indulgence and allow me to share my idea without anybody else stealing it lol. Let's keep this to ourselves. And by we, I mean the find and greater bitcointalk community. Scout's honor? Great! Let's go.

Let's get it on!

We begin by asking:
How many users does binance have?
Tens of thousands, maybe.

A hundred thousand? Could be. This is my guess.

So I actually, took a step back from this post and opened a new Tab to google for it.

13-15 million users.

Source: Youtube interview with CZ

Let that sink in for a moment. 13 to 15 million users. Wow.

That's Binance's customers that could also be yours.

Now, this is the crucial question. Go ahead and ask it, I know you want to.

"How?"

Great, that's the right question!

How can binance's customers be also yours? You simply have to set up shop nearby and offer something the 13-15 million users may want. And since those 13 to 15 million Binance customers are de facto cryptocurrency traders, you only have to figure out what they need and want. Once you figure that one out, you can set it up in a friendly domain such as:

binance.auction
[/size]
(We got a ton more related to this)

And watch as those BNBs, Bitcoins or other crypto roll on by.

Think of yourself as an eBay, with an existing client base: binance customers!

You could auction of old crypto miners, books, rasberry Pi's or even cryptocurrencies themselves. Neat huh? And that my friend, is how you do it.

Wanna get started?

PM's ready.

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the US Government Trying To Control Crypto? on: September 10, 2019, 06:21:42 AM
Binance just announced that their US platform would be ready in weeks. The question is, what's on the mind of the American government concerning crypto. Isn't it possible they're trying to control it like the USD? https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/binance-us-ready-for-launch-in-weeks/

Control is such a strong word. Besides, who said that they don't have "control" already?

Look at all the normie hedge fund managers, trusts, politicians, news reporters, celebrities and big banks? trying to enter that are already in crypto.

When big institutional investors join crypto, everybody goes batshit crazy like it was actually a good thing - and that's because everyone's focused on the price. In all actuality, the government doesn't need to control Bitcoin itself - it just has to manipulate the greed of people and people are more easily controlled than Bitcoin the technology, the code and the system.

Look at Coinbase and IRS issuing those tax notices.

Every government will try to milk every cent from every gain in every territory they own in every citizen that claims to be a member of such, regardless. This is the very definition of a government - a coercive power that will do whatever it wants, using whatever resources necessary for as long as it can. Why?

Because it can.

Now, let's reverse it a bit and say that "the Government is NOT trying to Control Crypto?"

It's got other things at its focus right now, and that's illegal immigration, trade war, national security concerns, opiod epidemic and such.

To the government, Cryptocurrency is interesting. But governments are letting them simmer until it reaches the boiling point. Look at Trevon James of Bitconnect fame - he's still running around posting youtube videos like an incompetent weather reporter right?

Ask yourself "Why?"

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: September 10, 2019, 06:08:48 AM
There is now a lot of news about Satoshi Nakamoto coming up or uncovered are you still excited every time there is news about new discovery on who Satoshi Nakamoto is and his whereabouts.

We have fed by so many lies about this Nakamoto pretenders some of them are good storyteller some of them might be true I have a hard time analyzing the best version of the story.

At this juncture, it really doesn't matter.

> > > WE ARE ALL SATOSHI NAKAMOTO < < <

Why fuss over the identity of one man, when he clearly did not want to be identified. He took great lengths to ensure that his OPSEC was not compromised. He was mindful of his language, because he knew that this 'Bitcoin thing' was more than the bitcoins they represent. It's a movement, it's a belief, it's a credo.

If you still don't get it, then please read the red letters above again.

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 10, 2019, 05:51:12 AM
Are there Bitcoiners in Hong Kong? How is the situation over there? I believe it should be Bitcoin's time, and help protesters in collecting donations, and help move value in Bitcoin.

I can't help but play the devil's advocate here given the phrasing of OPs statement. It seems as if the objective was simply to "collect donations" and "help move value in Bitcoin."

We are talking about the destiny of a people here and not merely the opportunistic tendency to take advantage of this simply to "move value in Bitcoin"

Replace Bitcoin with guns and you see what I mean.

"Are there gun owners in Hong Kong? How is the situation over there? I believe it should be time for citizens to have guns, and help them in collecting armaments, and help move value in the military industrial complex"

Let two issues, be two separate issues. Let the Hong Kongers define their fate. Bitcoin is apathetic. That's the hard truth.

Point number 1. IF the Hong Kong protestors feel like they need Bitcoin, then by all means, Bitcoin should be the best alternative they have against their current fiat and banking system. Anyway, it is still far from possible to live life entirely on Bitcoin. There are many problems when it comes to the collection in the form of Bitcoin donations. Why? Because you still have to trust multiple parties. Who are you going to trust when the HK movement is decentralized?

Point number 2. I don't quite recall how many miners are operational in China right now - but I believe most miners are manufactured there? And if the miners are asked to leave China - then that goes to show that it was once a powerhouse in terms of hashing power. Maybe it still is. I don't know. But if it is, then wouldn't the threat of a **seceding territory** using an alternative cryptocurrency, give rise to aggressive interest from China's cyber ops? And if they are planning on launching their own cryptocurrency, does this mean that they have enough hashing power to actually launch a 51% attack on Bitcoin if they decide to configure it for such an endeavor? China is one of the major cyber security threats.

Point number 3. Bitcoin is not 100% anonymous - it is pseudonymous. Actual companies actually try to de-anonymize Bitcoin transactions using complex algorithms all the time. I would think that China's IT capabilities and infrastructure place it in a position to actually accomplish a possible 51% attack if they wanted to. But who knows.

Point number 4. Even if donations were done in Bitcoin, where are they going to spend it on? Are they going to create an alternative government? This is highly politically-economically charged.

Remember, under the Sino-British declaration which mind you was ratified in the United Nations, Hong Kong is technically a part of China. And China is a member of the UN Security Council.

In theory, and only with the purest of intentions, Bitcoin along with some privacy coins offer a viable alternative. But the human element always comes into play. Where to spend? Who to trust?

Even if it became successful somehow - there's always the threat of People's Liberation Army troops knocking the heads of protestors until they divulge their private keys.

35  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This frozen chicken “had a rich, emotional life.” on: September 10, 2019, 03:07:43 AM
We as a society will not respect the rights of animals because we don't recognize human rights properly yet.

First step:

Recognize that humans are animals.

Next step:

Recognize that human life is not more important than life of any other animal.

However, animals eat other animals.  So do humans.

Even if you eat only plants, you still kill life to eat.

Except human life IS more important than animals. This concept that humans and animals are equal is nothing but a backdoor way to lower the standing of humans to that of an animal so that mistreatment of humans is excused. There is no way to give animals equal protection to humans and not do so. This is an anti-humanist viewpoint covered in a thin veneer of cute little furry creatures regardless if you recognize it as such or not.

Are you sure?  Why do you think human life is more important than the life of other animals?
Because we can kill any animal on the planet anytime we want?

Is the life of a lion more important than that of a gazelle?

We are the most dangerous animal on the planet, not the most important.  All life is equally important.  Step out of your 'human thinking box'.

BTW, humans are a plague.

I don't give a shit about any of your relativist bullshit. THE FACT IS that making animals equivalent to humans lowers the value of human life down to that of an animal, and this is anti-human and totalitarian. I don't need any other reasons, that single reason is horrible enough to reject your postmodernist tripe.

There are times when both of you are seemingly correct, though I agree more with the latter on principle because I am a human. Of all the creatures on the planet, we have been given the ability to create music, art, the sciences, medicine, the ability to transcend our current geosphere and to reach out to the stars.

We are given mathematics, philosophy, psychology and technology.

None of the other animals, no matter how much intelligence they have, have been able to reach the same zenith.

Yes, we are stewards of this planet assigned to mold and shape it as we see fit.

Perhaps you would not like to hurt an ant.

What about a snake that enters your home that threatens your family?

Equating human life to the life of a chicken, may seem to make sense from an extreme point of view. But as the guy above me said, "THE FACT IS that making animals equivalent to humans lowers the value of human life down to that of an animal, and this is anti-human and totalitarian. I don't need any other reasons, that single reason is horrible enough to reject your postmodernist tripe."
36  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much tech in schools with no benefit, researchers agree. on: September 10, 2019, 02:33:50 AM
I have read studies relating to child neural development and technology in the past. Apparently children from 0-3 especially, but up to 5 years of age have a much higher level of what is called neuroplasticity. This is basically a phase of human brain development where the basic structures of the neurons are forming and becoming solidified in these states. As a result of this, depending on how the neurons are conditioned, it will result in more permanent lasting effects through the child's lifetime. This is an important fact to know for parents because when you give a child under 5 an electronic device or even sit them in from of a tv/monitor, you are wiring their brains in a way that can cause difficulties for them later.

The simplest example I can give is how media has all these quick cuts and fast moving scenes. Humans have evolved a hardwired response to pull the eye to any fast movement reflexively as a survival mechanism. When humans were not at the top of the food chain, this could be the difference between seeing that tiger hiding in the grass before he attacks or being his dinner. Essentially what is happening is all of these quick cuts are triggering this response in children, signaling to the brain that they are in an environment full of predators. As a result the brain becomes hyper active to compensate for this perceived risk to life, and this is where many attention, behavioral, and hyper activity issues stem from. Then parents often end up drugging their children to cope with this and making it worse. In my opinion, based on the scientific data I have read, no children under 5 should be using any electronic device with a monitor, including televisions.

I have recently attended an educational conference and this was cited as well. Some have noted that the input/output stimuli-response mechanisms used in interactive "educational" games, sometimes have disruptive effects on the brain of a child. I forgot the exact study as this is ongoing research. Anecdotally however, I have seen toddlers who grew up with gadgets show behavior that makes them act in a way that is congruent with reality.

It's as if they are expecting immediate gratification simply by pushing a button. If they do not get the desired results, they show symptoms of this impatient behavior through temper tantrums and such.

While, yes, eletronic media can be supplemental and helpful in education, advocating for their active usage in classrooms should be constrained to higher level children who have learned the basics of using pen and paper.
37  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Africa isn't poor - Africa is being raped. on: September 09, 2019, 10:34:52 PM
I laugh at my continent when foreigners call us poor. You make a statement online about the continent or any country in it and the first thing that comes to people mind is "That poor country or poor continent". Who is to be blamed for all these, it isn't just the leaders anymore but the people are to be held responsible because they voted those leaders into power.

The image below shows you how wealthy Africa is and if she wasn't being raped she would had been the richest continent on earth.

What my continent have failed to realized is that power won't be given to you unless you fight for it. If the world was a fair one most African countries would had been among world leading country but instead we get treated like slaves and our wealth is been enjoy by other continents. What a shame Angry

From the marvel movie "Blackpanther" i believe the solution to the continent (Africa) problem is to act as the past Kings of wakanda did with their natural resource: Vibranium, they should learn to manage their resources themselves and later they can sell finish products to the outside world.

Africa, oh Africa. So historical, and many stories are not told properly I suppose. Much blood has been spilled trying to attain that goal. As it is, yes, it is not poor - it is poor because it cannot hold itself together. Like the other post mentioned, its African killing fellow African because they're from another tribe. Its African killing fellow African to get what big corporations are offering them - less than 1% of what they really should own. All the violence, all the pain, and all the turmoil it is experiencing has not ended because of so many things.

People are generally acting like the past Kings of Wakanda - which is fictional mind you. These are your warlords, fighting against each other - extracting the resources to buy weapons and they're all playing the colonizers game of buying the weapons of the military-industrial complex. Blood Diamonds, blood gold, blood oil - you name it.

Yes, Africa is not poor because of a lack of resource. Africa is poor because it is not united in peace.
38  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US DOJ to probe Google for Anti-Trust practices. on: September 09, 2019, 10:25:52 PM
It's about time.  Google has been a dominant force in internet search and is very likely manipulating result to promote businesses with which they contract and for which they advertise.

The other issue I would like to see investigated is if Google is skewing search results to promote or subvert certain political points of view.  I don't know how the DOJ will approach the probe, and whether manipulations of political stories within Googles news services are part of the probe.

The internet is still relatively new and forging new territories within our culture.  As a society we've been keeping a fairly hands off approach to tech companies' growth and business practices.  As a result these companies have plundered our personal information for their own financial domination.  I'm optimistic the DOJ probe will expose some of the more dangerous aspects of these tech companies' business practices.

https://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/2019/05/31/doj-preparing-antitrust-probe-of-google---dow-jones.html

For as long as there is big money and government is not getting a piece of the pie, it will work to break up the piece of pie. But with that said, holding big companies accountable for their gargantuan profit margins and business practices is precisely what governments do. They are, after all, simply the biggest bullies in the corner with a legal monopoly on coercive force.

It would be interesting to see what big G has been up lately after it seems to have given up its past motto of "Don't Be Evil". With that in mind, let me quote former Googler Matt Cutts on the "Don't Be Evil" thing:

Quote
Reasonable people can disagree about how whether some things are evil. For example, some people believe that meat is murder, so eating a chicken burrito or wearing leather shoes is evil. Some people would argue that owning stock in (pick your favorite "evil" company) is itself evil; a few of those people would even consider it evil to own an index fund--which might hold shares of hundreds of companies--simply because the index fund might hold a few shares of the "evil" company.
To live a life (either as a person or a corporation) so that no one, anywhere in the world, at any time can accuse you of evil is impossible. I think a Bloom County comic strip made this point, with Opus the penguin getting more and more timid until eventually he was dangling from a tree to avoid stepping on things and killing them by accident. Even then, in the final frame Opus realized that by breathing he was killing tiny organisms in the air.

So I think "Do no evil" is an impossible standard: reasonable people can disagree on which choices are evil, and for different reasons. I prefer "Don't be evil" because it leaves room for honest disagreements, but still encourages Google to strive to make the world better.

By the way, when I see "do no evil" instead of "don't be evil" in an post or article, I know the author is much more likely to criticize Google. Once you start noticing how authors frame Google's core value as "Don't be evil" vs. "Do no evil" you'll often know what to expect from the article. Keep an eye out and you'll notice it in the future too.

39  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Xenophobic attacks on Africans by South Africans, what's your take on this. on: September 09, 2019, 10:15:29 PM
What in gods fuck is this.

Holy shit why isn't the media reporting on this happening. Or at least, why isn't this front page news like it should be? I haven't seen any of this and this is a horrible thing to see in the world.

Not liking immigrants, while despicable, is one thing. But burning them alive and physically assaulting them (and even killing them) in the streets is another thing. This is a whole other level of how horrible humans can be to one another.

It's one of the horrors the first world nations fear the most - that these, as a certain powerful individual would say, "shitholes" are going to eventually reach a boiling point and spill over to their borders. To be frank, there's a huge role to be played in this by big corporations and centuries of colonialization by the various European powers.

They left one gigantic mess - that cannot be cleaned. And now, they will reap what they sow.

Hence, the "build that wall" and "Brexxit" and apocalyptic tv shows inundating us with horrors that are all becoming too real.

Other than investing in stocks and altcoins, my friend invest also in your health. It will be more profitable in the long run, what will you do with your money if you are always in the hospital? Invest in it right now, eat healthy foods, go to the gym atleast 3 times a week or run for how many kilometers. It's more pleasurable to have a GOOD HEALTH.

Quite recently I was diagnosed with hypertension and was prescribed maintenance medicine. I was like, "Doc are you kidding me?! I'm too young to take maintenance medicine!"

She was like, "Doctor's orders."

So, yeah health is wealth - and bad health is the doctor's and big pharma's wealth!

I used to be physically fit, but I guess our lives takes on ups and downs that are often unpredictable. Life is like that I suppose. Sometimes, it can get fatalistic in the sense that the doctor suddenly says, you have 6 months to live. And all the stacking sats, all the late nights working, all the bitcoin in the world that we obsess about suddenly become meaningless.

That is the sad life of a small fish. I guess most of us are like small fish.

But in my life, I have seen people even younger than me die of some freak accident or illness. I mean these people that I know were at peak health and performance at the best time of their lives. Suddenly, they just go poof, kaput, gone, bye bye.
