Our project has recently had some setbacks and Joe has been great in his response to the situation.  I don't think any team wants to have to come out and say something like that but it is true. He has been extremely understanding and I can personally vouch for his services.  He went above and beyond with our graphics and handled aspects of our campaign that we were less knowledgeable about than after we began working with him.

Originally I had sought to make a rigid turn-based business simulator that focused on the adult industry. I was going to include everything you'd expect from any other tycoon game but with the ability to sell-out and start again. I was going to have A.I generated performers (in 2015) and personalities with custom product development complete with video formats from VHS to VR and beyond.


But then I added goblins, clowns, guns, LSD-laced soda, aliens, meteors...mutated cats. And damn was that more fun. But things got a LOT harder. I went real-time, let the player get some fresh air every now and then. I wrote an engine to support a city, more areas, more interaction. Then scaled it all back again when shit got too unruly. At this rate I'll be creating the Dwarf Fortress of adult business sims, and that's OK.


Having strong kegels is a performer trait. A long tongue is considered macroglossia and can be a good time for someone on the receiving end. Needless to say, development would have been much more enjoyable if we didn't have to sell our own asses every night to fund this thing.  So here I am again (I've been here before) but with more to show for the absolutely slow, excruciatingly painful 8+ years I've been developing this game in my spare time under a company named after a type of restroom.


This is getting long-winded! Triple X Tycoon is an adult industry strategy game in which the player explores the world of adult entertainment from behind the scenes.  Steer your company through the eras. The 3ROTICA Awards are a homage to EROTICA Web3. And winning Best Male Picture might earn you some Dickcoin(moon). The in-game currency also now uses Lood instead of USD. We are currently working hard to bring this product up to spec after a rough launch and restructuring of the publisher. Which is now The Lood Company itself. After a lot of experimentation and testing I have come to a lot of the same conclusions that others have regarding the crypto gaming industry. For the sake of keeping this as short as possible, there are a few points that I want to address as a developer and I’m hoping to get some feedback here because we all want a healthy market for this stuff.

1) Requiring a user to buy anything upfront or at all is the devil.

2) People would rather just play the damn game and if the crypto is cool or earnable, great.

3) Keep-it-simple, I’m a programmer and I get a headache reading some of this stuff. It also just comes off as a scam because it is confusing.

So we know that networked games cost. In my experience, you’ll be paying at least $120/mo in hosting if you roll out your own chain and it’s a (very) small mmo. This figure is based on my own experience developing these types of projects. And for some of you that is cheap but for say, an indie developer, looking to check out this space it’s not really because that fluctuates (typically upward over time).

Now then we need to talk about fundraising. You really can’t, unless you do an ICO (assuming you have your own coin/token) or similar which brings us back to the nuances of #1. Somebody has to pay for these games and mainstream gamers absolutely will not (and largely kind of hate crypto anything) but if you’re lucky they’ll check it out.

This leaves crypto enthusiasts to foot the bill but that actually works because once they buy into any crowdfunding-oriented pre-sale they now have a game currency ready to use and flex on all those gamers. And probably some profit by the time it comes out. Or they can just use it all in the game. I think that’s cool!

Except if you have your own token it’s considered centralized and now the crypto people kind of hate you too. But they might make some…money? It’s toxic and that’s a bad sentiment for the nascent crypto games business. 

In conclusion some developers (including myself) have watered down just how crypto the crypto game is. And nuked our own custom projects to support things like BTC in-game instead. Since it just “looked better” while incurring the same costs with less of the upside. In this case the dev would not have a supply of their own cryptocurrency to reward anyone or fund the game, and instead need to take fees from micro-transactions which nobody really likes in any context.

I’m typing this up because a lot of crypto game developers, including myself, are worried that we are already losing runway and success now seems to be based purely on hype and not solving real problems like these. These hype cycles only attract retail investors who don’t care about these problems. And trying to solve them means running into all these existing issues with no support.  Or so it seems. And so I’m here to get some thoughts on this and hear about what your favorite crypto game is and why.

The September report is now available.

September was exciting as the project received listings on CoinHunt, Nomics, Coinrankings and CoinSniper respectively. As a result we have extended our month-over-month column to include the “Total” amount of LOOD in circulation. A bounty campaign has also begun which has allowed us to take a more structured approach to token distribution and by extension, decentralizing the asset.

All adult industry related coins and tokens.  Including defunct ones in the future, for which we plan to offer a 1-to-1 swap.  Also yes there will be BTC support since initially the platform was meant to work only with Bitcoin-derived digital assets.  Thankfully this is no longer the case!

Our reporting did not begin until July. The LoodCash platform is also still in development. I do encourage you to check out our most recent post regarding the history of this project.

Small update, just yesterday we managed to create a screenshot based on WIP tech showing a glimpse into how the platform intends to support multiple adult cryptocurrencies.

Our team is made up of performers and some of us even produce content for multiple studios.  We're actually on the ground and can pilot our solutions within the industry before rolling out promises for the sake of PR. Despite perceptions it's actually very insular. We're also developers, whereas other projects tend to focus on marketing or incur early expenses in hiring devs just to test ideas.  We've been building our platform for years now and were involved in some of the earliest attempts at adapting blockchain to this industry.

Ultimately we can ensure a use case for LOOD regardless of whether or not our broader base of peers adopt it.  And this may not even happen in the way that we see it. But we can and are willing to see what sticks in the long run.  Using our games portfolio to expand on interactive potential so far has been a great time.  Integrating it into the stores of our own brands is also way to benchmark its merits as a method of exchange.  We can create NFTs out of generated game characters if we wanted to and build out a platform for that.  But none of that is the plan right now.

I guess my point is that we're a just team of enthusiasts who have literal skin in the game.  Not just another company trying to figure out how to capitalize on something they don't understand.


Right, and things have not gotten better.  In the past month alone studios received new restrictions on partnered content featured on OnlyFans.  In addition, major content selling services like Clips4Sale will be removing decades-old content from their platform for compliance purposes.  The industry needs decentralized solutions now more than ever.

I run the least sexy adult startup, building cross-platform analytics and payment processing tools for adult industry professionals. I am here seeking a blockchain/finance partner to assist in establishing the project in the blockchain community as the company does have its own token, LOOD.

An ideal partner would have run one or more cryptocurrency projects or have been associated with one in a community management capacity.  Experience in general finance is not required but a plus as you would be helping me create monthly/quarterly reports for the project.

The entire idea is B2B oriented with the long-term goal of aggregating enough industry data (without selling it) in order to publish regular analysis on interesting data points. Like the Hub and Bate already do. The revenue model is based on currency swaps occurring on the platform i.e turning Bitcoin into some other adult cryptocurrency (or our own).

2FA and SMS capability has been added to the backend.  The next task is porting RBBS over to Windows and integrating the aforementioned tech into the platform.  The port alone would allow us to launch there.  In the future I also don't see why we won't be able to support BTC and/or other pairs that could also allow for direct purchases of ROGUE via the RBBS platform.  More news on these soon!

I recently announced a cryptocurrency.  It has traction within its niche as well as a solid infrastructure I've built over the years.  In addition, I've worked with all my "competitors" in the past to some degree as well and intend to do so again.  As mentioned in the link I plan to roll out a sort of alpha as early as June but I've run into an issue with some CSS and HTML on the post-registration welcome page.

Despite being in the industry for a while - to very modest success at best in terms of finances - which I mention because what I'm looking for is a partner.  Not someone who wants to make $20 to edit an existing and broadly functional CSS file.

I am a solo developer and have been on every project I have ever worked on with the exception of the occasional contractor.  Previous business partners were non-technical and admittedly not very skilled at things you need to run a business. But they were trustworthy. And, to me,  you can't put a price on that.  I'd like to work with a web developer (jr or sr) who is looking for something real to sink their teeth into for the long haul.

An overview for the upcoming Apsis Online V5 has been published. But I should notify the community that the development group has since decided to shift focus a bit more toward the BBS platform. Primarily due to ongoing latency issues when handling sandbox mechanics in Apsis Online.  However, since we intend to expand the BBS there are plans to update and add additional smaller games from our gamejam portfolio to a redesigned game portal.

The official ROGUE wallet has been patched to include seed node addresses for new wallets joining the network.  And RogueSpace (previously @Space)  has been renamed to Rogue BBS with long term plans to include SMS wallets, a block explorer, marketplace and other features to expand cross-platform functionality.  Testing has also once again opened up to Linux users and can be found on our website.  Do drop by and say hi!
