Yes , maybe not you are the scammer, but the person with whom you were in contact.
This amounts are not traded here and for sure never ever anonymous.
Amounts like that are a 100% scam if offered here at bitcointalk.
Simply the amount of discount is not common with high amounts.
So it HAS TO BE a scam or a laundry of illegal money.
In both cases anyone entering that train, will loose.
Maybe you were not aware of that...

My greed clouded my judgement. Especially when there are millions in commissions to be made. It blinded me from the fact that these guys were trying to scam me and any party that i affiliated myself with.
2  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Seeking Large Amounts of BTC for Institutional Investors. on: April 03, 2020, 03:06:31 AM
My apologies. The main reason i went offline was simply because i found out the person who wanted these large quantities wanted it at a significant discount. (8-10% off market rate) with the amount , they justified it with large quantities and therefore required a discount.

Of course , I don't think it is possible to do something like this because you can't buy gold with a discount , why would anyone want to do this if they can get market rate for their BTC.

I have discontinued this connections considering that the person who was interested wanted payments through signature bank and because there is a chance that payments can be frozen from the bank , I'd not continue with this because the person seemed sketchy and i apologize for my thread to which people have been responding.

I am not a scammer , I just found a quick opportunity and after investigation , I realized that it would not be viable and not secure for the person selling their bitcoins in the first place.

I apologize for my indiscretion and i hope you all have a wonderful day.

Take care.

women are being targeted by nazis, islamists and racists to push their agenda, they should emancipate themselves from them and continue to run their own agenda.

You mean women are targeted by Globalists and Feminists to waste their most valuable years in careers than having a family? How are Nazis / Islamists and Racists targeting women to push what agenda? Wheres your evidence for this?

6  Economy / Economics / Re: Are 401ks / ROTH IRA Safe From Bailouts? on: January 28, 2020, 07:48:55 PM
I'm not sure how your stuff works over there, but it probably depends on who you're with..

It's helpful to read the terms and conditions of a site, for example: in my country, vanguard state that you are the owner of the assets you hold with them so it doesn't become their property and can't be deemed as such in legal terms.

If banks are bailed out, you're going to do a lot better holding stocks than you are holding cash (normally). Everything takes a hit in a crisis but most stuff bounces back. If you're trying to live of a rothira or a 401k you'll see your stock price change quite a bit and your entire net worth, dividends may change but ceos are discouraged from doing that as it makes the company look unstable so unless it's really necessary they won't.

So if the Stock itself poops the bed and loses 90% of its value , then you are losing 90% of your value that you hold in that stock due to holding the 401K or ROTH IRA? Do you get to choose your stock or asset that you want your 401K or ROTH IRA to hold or it isn't up to you to choose?

From what I know the U.S. Treasury owns money to several agencies of their own and that is including your own Department of Labor which I think handles the 401(k) accounts. The government itself cannot borrow your benefits, pension, and other plans for you when a financial crisis happens since those benefits are solely allocated to you, they can only borrow the allocated budget the agency have or if they have any excess or unused budget left lying around. Not unless there is a law where it clearly states that the US government has the power to legally steal your own retirement benefits when times like this happen there is no way I see that the government will be taking your money.

I wouldn't trust them not to take my money realistically...They've robbed the citizens during the period of the gold standard where they took the gold of the citizens.

So lets assume that the financial crisis of 2008 happens again. Would 401Ks / ROTH IRA account holders be at risk of losing everything?

Who else might be at risk to lose everything if the Government bails out the biggest banks again due to the ineptitude?

No, they would not be safe. BUT...it depends on what your investments are in within those accounts. For example, in the 2008 market crash (in the US) Citigroup went from $50 per share to $3 per share. If your 401k was invested in Citigroup at that time then the balance of your 401k account went down just as significantly as the value of those investments.

Now, if your 401k investments are in a cash investment only, which is covered by FDIC (Federal Depositor's Insurance Corporation) AND the bank with which your 401k account fails, then your FDIC insured investments would be reimbursed up to $250,000 per account.

The accounts you name are tax-sheltered accounts, that is they protect you from how your are taxed on the investments or the gains. They don't inherently protect you from anything else.

I share your contempt for government bailouts, but the bailouts are offered primarily to save investors from the fall out of poor business management.

But if the value of the dollar itself shits the bed and a Venezuela situation happens where inflation happens that even if you had the 250k , it would mean less because of the fact that the dollar itself is pretty much worthless. Right?

But what about the people who lost their homes during the subprime mortgage crisis? Those people weren't investors , they were ordinary people who lost their homes because they were foreclosed by the banks because of their ineptitude and they literally lost their money because they lent money out to people who couldn't afford it in the first place.

7  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC OTC on: January 28, 2020, 04:37:39 PM
This is one of the very few threads about it out there in the ether - https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/8ecm6h/otc_what_are_your_experiences/

I don't understand why it's so rarely talked about it when it's a far more sensible option than an exchange for sizeable amounts.

Does the affiliate/referral bit you're planning to be bringing sales to them?

Yep. I'm dealing with some clients who would rather buy large amounts without affecting the market price too much. I just want my cut for helping them do it.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC OTC on: January 28, 2020, 04:13:22 PM
Hey everyone. Does anyone know of any OTC brokers that are legit and have affiliate / referral plans for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that you have used before?

Caleb and Brown is one that i'm looking at @ 100M AUD per day but i'm looking for more. What do you recommend?
If you are still new to trading Bitcoin OTC brokers, I advise you to study it first before continuing trading further, so that you become a successful trader.

Is not the right decision if you start right away with the Caleb and Brown OTC you're looking for right now.

Learn the main things that are best for you, it's important.
I advise you to read it first below.

Topic: Over the Counter (OTC) Cryptocurrency Trading - Explained in Details.

There are many Bitcoin OTC brokers, which are currently available.

All these decisions are with you both good and bad, knowledge is very important before doing something.

appreciate this insight. I'll be doing my due diligence for on-boarding clients.

I have heard that leading cryptocurrency exchanges are engaged in such activities. In any case, if you plan to make OTC transactions with huge amounts, then you should listen to the advice on the forum in the last place. Perhaps the experience of your friends or acquaintances of your friends can be valuable in this case.

I asked the forum for their insights of using OTC and if they have used any of these OTC brokers. I recently found a large OTC network so that's a positive.

I have heard that leading cryptocurrency exchanges are engaged in such activities.
That's right. It has become a trend amongst exchanges to offer OTC services because of the demand. Fee wise it's much more interesting because you can skip the part where you lose 10-15% in slippage by paying a broker a ~3% fee and get spot value without affecting the actual market price. Pretty neat.

In any case, if you plan to make OTC transactions with huge amounts, then you should listen to the advice on the forum in the last place. Perhaps the experience of your friends or acquaintances of your friends can be valuable in this case.
I would just recommend people to consult the exchanges offering OTC services because they will be dealing directly with one of them. It's always better to get information straight from the source than to have people on social media or friends say something that might not be of any help to you.

Paying 3% instead of 10-15% slippage is huge especially without moving the market too much. I'll be connecting with them further. Thanks!

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is stopping the US Government from outright BANNING Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2020, 03:33:49 AM
What is stopping the US Government from outright BANNING Bitcoin?  For argument's sake lets say today (23JAN2020) 3% of the US population is using Bitcoin for 3% of their purchases or financial transfers/transactions. And, let's say 5 years from now around 2025, 30% of the US population is using Bitcoin for 30% of their purchases and financial transfers/transactions.  Consequently, the US Government monitoring this situation sees the trend that 30% fewer transactions are being done with the all mighty US Dollar. Well, it would seem that the US Gov would hold the view that the popularity or use of their US currency is being threatened by Bitcoin. And so, what is stopping or what would stop the US Gov to outright make it ILLEGAL to use Bitcoin at some such time?

Because if you were to try to ban something completely , it will actually cause people to want to use it. (Telling people they can't do something will actually encourage others to do it because humans are attracted to the things that others may view as "Illegal")

Example. The US made Cocaine illegal and the Usage of coke actually went up and the price of cocaine also went up significantly. Banning Bitcoin will only lead to problems for the US Governments.

You might also watch to documentaries regarding Ross Ulbricht and Silk Road and stuff like these. It should be related to what you are writing. I like this kind of fictional adventures. Who knows your novel could be turned into a movies like the ones we just read before but came to be as a movie later.

Whos fall is the book "The Great Fall" about?

You'll have to read the book when i finish writing it. Wink
14  Economy / Services / Re: Writing a book might need some help on: January 21, 2020, 06:44:13 PM
You should read more about the deep web, that would help a lot for your science fiction book, If you search for topics like:

1.-How to navigate with Onion
2.-How to set up a Onion server
3.-Alternative markets like Open bazar
4.-Comunications channels like IRC

That would give you a nice idea for you book

I'll be doing my due diligence on this to make a good book. Thank you SEOINCORPORATION.
15  Economy / Services / Re: Writing a book need some help on: January 21, 2020, 06:42:00 PM
Right now it's unclear exactly what you're asking for.

Are you looking for somebody to develop a fully functional black market, which you will then use to write your book about (e.g. discussing the happenings of traders on your platform).

Or are you looking for somebody to create something basic just so you can test it out and see how it works? If the former, you might land yourself in trouble if it actually gets used as a black market... Regardless if you're writing a book on it.

I'd be curious as to OPSEC techniques that would allow one to run a black market like this. The front end and back end of running said market or at least a brief overview of everything necessary to run one , especially back in 2011 to 2013. This information will be used in my book but briefly of course to ensure that i don't get in trouble especially with the higher powers that be.

I'd also be curious as to how a rogue agency or a nation state sponsored actor can find the person running said black market. What techniques can they use to dox the person? How would they hack them with what tools that they used to get this person or try to identify them.

I'm not looking for someone to build me a black market or to develop a black market because that would be foolish and I would rather stay on the right side of the law. I'll keep the information brief to ensure that someone does not read my book and then say "HEY THIS GUY JUST TAUGHT ME HOW TO SET UP A BLACK MARKET HEHEHE"

Can you actually get in trouble for this? I'm surprised something like this doesn't already exist haha

Hi everyone. I'm currently writing a book called "The Great Fall"

Justice Fiat is a dark net black market operator allowing others to participate in the online black market. Obstacles and problems arise from those who participate in the market erupting in crime and violence as Justice is placed under the microscope of the F.B.I and the N.S.A become entangled in a game of geopolitics , money and power.

I'm looking for someone , such as a Network engineer or other engineers who have an understanding and perhaps assist me with creating a Black Market for my fictional book.

How would you set up a black market and evade the higher powers? How would you catch this criminal? Lets connect with each other and make something cool.

Is that your way of intruducing crypto world in other people? Well that is really great idea. I really love writing short stories, novels and other stories. What if I write my own too about crypto world to promote it to others. You gave me an idea in which we can mass promote the crypto world to all people. Thank you for posting this.

HEY! DON'T STEAL MY IDEA! ;P It's not just about promoting crypto , but different philosophical ideas and premises that have evolved around crypto and other ideas. I will make a great epic that will be similar to Game of Thrones but in the modern age. Thats my goal anyways. (Or at least my own version of it) Hopefully you don't tread in my idea and we will be cool Cheesy

Whats your book going to be able if you don't mind me asking?
17  Economy / Services / Re: Writing a book might need some help on: January 21, 2020, 01:56:44 PM
Sounds like a cool project! So it's a fictional book based on the core tenets of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, very uhhh novel!  Tongue Cheesy Wink

There is a ton of knowledge among this community...the people you need are here, i have ideas on how you can find them.

1. Post your premise and need in the Development & Technical Discussion board, because the engineers you're seeking wax technical in that area of the forum

2. Are you willing to pay for the information/help you receive from this network engineer? Include that in your post on the D&T Discussion board and then you could also post a listing in the Marketplace Board or the Services Board; make it like a job listing

Last...once you've finished your work, could you come back on here and share it with us? Send us a link to where we can access it and if it's only available for sale, maybe you could cut Forum members a deal as a thank you for the help we've offered you.

I look forward to seeing it on the shelves of my local book store some day! Good luck!

1. Just posted in the Development / Technical Section. Hoping to get some good connections! Thanks for this!

2. 10% of royalties from those who paid in Crypto! + Credit in my book

I'll make sure to add it here for those who would like to buy my book!

My goal is to first write the book (1000 words per day)
Edit the book
Get it out there to Literacy agent
Hopefully get 15-20% royalty on each book sold + Sales in Crypto

How is anyone allowed to make their own USD (or any forms of fiat for that matter) of any currency?

Is there a method for doing this?

Couldn't i just create a ERC-20 token and mint myself 1B tokens and use that to buy up the coins in circulation if i wanted to?

How would you get it on exchanges or let people use it as a USD Pair?
