Allaire says it's always been Circle's aim to go beyond bitcoin but that hasn't always been obvious to outsiders. I am disappointed to read this statement from Circle's CEO. In a way, he is saying he used bitcoin as a springboard to get funding and now he has got what he wanted, he is now moving away from (beyond) bitcoin. He is re-inventing paypal, nothing interesting.

If your produce a summery of this forum in PDF format, one one here would buy it. If you produce a monthly magazine about bitcoin for financial executives, they will pay money for it if it is good. Can you produce a quality magazine that offers better insights than popular bitcoin news sites?

If price is this stable for 2 years, bitcoin will be the new gold standard. Everyone would use it to store value, merchants will price goods in bitcoin without changing the price every week. It will be good for bitcoin.

If an exchange has all the coins they hold for their customers, there is no reason for any delay. They might have coins locked up in cold wallets, that shouldn't take more than 24 hours to move to hot wallets. The delays must be caused by something not right.
Whatever happens, when withdrawals are resumed with no delays, confidence is lost and it will be difficult to rebuild trust. I think Crypsy is not going to fold, it think it is going to fade out of the crypto scene in a year.

Bitcoin is less anonymous than fiat bills. At least there is a whole ledger to analyse. With a super computer and clever algorithm, leads can be found. Regulators can do that with fiat bills.
Benanke is correct about it being a problem for bitcoin. Government do not like it and they are not going to turn a blind eye to bitcoin. But in time, I think this hostility will change when it's legit uses becomes more widespread. They will have to accept the norm. We don't eliminate credit card because there are credit card fraud, we accommodate the downside.

When bitcoin difficulty was low when I started, a major pool had a web interface written in java. It was possible to mine bitcoin with cpu power. Of course it's not possible now.

They are cracking down on many channels, bitcoin is only one of them. Nothing to worry about. EU’s executive body will seek ways to “strengthen controls of non-banking payment methods such as electronic/anonymous payments and virtual currencies and transfers of gold, precious metals, by pre-paid cards

While I see how that might be useful, it was our intention to make a fun and cartoonish set with subtle political overtones... that is, if you find Che Guevara, Walter White and undead Mickey Mouse subtle Ok, that's fair. I usually give bitcoin to bitcoin newbies, i want to make a stronger impression. This is surely a strong impression in a different way

Nice site. Can you design something more formal? I fear people will not take the bill seriously when I give it to them. You can also make a package to download and run offline, so we know private keys cannot be compromised.

Mike is joining a group to study blockchain solutions to banking industry. At least that is not hindering bitcoin development.

If you need to sync, I think you are using bitcoin core. Can you see that address under the address tab of bitcoin core? If you can, you are safe and you probably haven't finished syncing yet. The full blockchain need days to download.

Russia has openly banned bitcoin, then Russian Central Bank issued positive news about passing laws to regulate bitcoin. Recently news broke out about banning fiat to bitcoin conversion. Russia's stance on bitcoin is not consistent, they will revert again after a few months. I do not believe a word they say.

Lets infiltrate there gangs to there is no more left to join
Secret services have done just that. Where do you think anti terrorist agencies get their tip offs from? If you infiltrate them, you have to do what they do to prove your worth. That includes killing the innocent. I am not prepared to do that.

Banks can use whenever they need to fit into their system. For me, it will always be BTC or the BTC symbol. There will never be consensus on abbreviations. We are still debating which system to use for naming fractions of a bitcoin.

So called professional trolls roam the forum. You can't avoid them. You ban one account and ten of them return. The gambling and dice site situation is similar. It's a cut throat sector and people don't play fair. I am sorry this happens to you, mods can't do much here.

How would one get updated to staff or moderator position on bitcointalk. Does anyone know how this occurs as the administrators have to appoint them?
You have to report thousands of posts with high accuracy. Then mods will begin to consider you when there is an opening. Having a habit of helping other bitcoin users would help too.

Faucet is great for newbies to get their hands on some play money. Faucets pays too little to worth the time. Time could be spent elsewhere with a better income. It is also not a good time for faucet either. Bitcoin price is rising, faucets are likely to disappear when price rockets.

Those who have sold low are now panicking. They are may not be able to buy back the coins at the price they sold. There are also people who are regretting why they didn't buy more when it was near $200. There will be a big rush to buy coins if bitcoin continues to rise.
