1  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 09, 2024, 03:23:16 PM
That's probably because you haven't tried to live sustainably like growing your own garden where you can get all the stuff you need like food. If you actually know how to live in a farm, you can easily live out of the stuff that you maintain and grow there. Sure it might need money first but when things get going and you make it grow even more for yourself, you probably won't be able to rely too much on money anymore. So yes, in some way, money will never be all wealth, if you're talking emotionally, spiritually, there's more to things than just money to be called wealthy.
Nowadays people aren't only looking to live and eat just to survive, but they're also want to buy something they like, going to vacation, buy branded stuffs, sport car, big house etc anything that they see on social medias.

If most people only looking for "survive", criminal rate and unemployment rate wouldn't rise.

Wealth is important, if you want to help someone who are in bankrupt, which solution is better:
1. Give many bullshit advices, or
2. Fund him $100K to start a new life.

 Huh
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 09, 2024, 03:11:52 PM
Young people shouldn't touch betting because when they see a way to earn money with minimal effort, they will not focus study and socialize, but they will focus to spend all of their time just for gambling. They think if they have spend all of their time and effort for gambling, they will become a professional gambler and will high likely to earn. But, the reality most gamblers are in loss.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the main points of gambling? on: May 09, 2024, 02:56:47 PM
The main point of gambling is for fun.

If someone gamble for money and become an addict, blame the gambler, not the gambling. No one force to gamble, if someone don't get the fun while and after gambling, they can stop including completely avoid it.

It just dumb someone continue to gamble in order to earn while the reality they're in loss.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Are no-KYC services banned? on: May 08, 2024, 04:37:47 AM
Too bad, if Mr.Stork Exchange remove BTC withdrawal, their service would be fine. Tongue

What if I use Bitcoin to exchange it for a shitcoin, and I use those shitcoins to buy Bitcoin again?
It should be fine till now, currently the forum only restrict BTC to BTC trade.

Second: If somebody posted on the Currency Exchange board and offered to trade your stolen coins for clean coins minus a fee, or linked to a website meant to effect such trades, that would definitely be disallowed due to the prohibition on illegal trades, even before the mixer ban. The service in question here does not use the phrase "stolen coins": they say "dirty coins", which is definitely different and could include some legally-sourced coins. But when I look at all of their marketing materials holistically, it all feels too close to the stolen-coins-trader example. So I'd lean toward banning this particular service even if they didn't meet the mixer definition. "Make your dirty coins clean" is not something that typical no-KYC exchanges advertise.
What about lending? someone can use lending as a loophole to trade same coins.

Let's say I had 0.5 BTC, but no one knows if I already have Bitcoin and I posted a genuine application on there, especially if my account have a good trading history and promise to pay high interest rate. I don't think there's no one will want to trade when I offered big return.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LocalMonero/Agoradesk to be taken down on: May 08, 2024, 03:35:08 AM
Sad to see one of trustworthy No KYC P2P ended their business, but we should expect there will be a new site comes up and start to build the reputation from zero. It's better for the sites to shutdown their operations rather than enforce KYC requirements just like centralized exchanges.

So who next? HodlHodl? Localcoinswap?
Anything that listed on kycnot.me except Bisq.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF good or bad? on: May 06, 2024, 06:04:35 AM

Benefits:

#1, if the ETFs price is lower than the real coin, it means when the real coin price increase, the ETFs price will increase but still lower than the real coin. This means no benefit.

#2, this is really misleading.

Mutual funds and ETFs are not guaranteed or insured by the FDIC or any other government agency—even if you buy through a bank and the fund carries the bank’s name.  You can lose money investing in mutual funds or ETFs.

#3, #4 and #5 those aren't benefit, centralized exchanges can do same.

Investing in ETFs is a stupid choice since you need to pay 2% annually, while simply hold Bitcoin will cost nothing.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies should be forewarned. on: May 06, 2024, 04:50:15 AM
Most people are poor, they choose money over security and privacy.

Now the question is, how important are security and privacy if they didn't even have enough money to survive? they know the risk, but they don't have any option.

If you suggest them to get a job, that's not a solution since they must have been tried to find a job in real life, but they didn't get paid enough with the effort and time they spent.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen to BTC if Government gets involved? on: May 06, 2024, 04:28:07 AM
Most likely Bitcoin isn't taboo anymore to be discussed and some old school investors might dare to invest in Bitcoin, that's. I doubt if people will choose Bitcoin over fiat for micro transactions, because people want free/cheaper choice instead of paying Bitcoin fees for every transactions.

Maybe your sentence is wrong because no country's government will ever have a chance to regulate bitcoin, we all know that bitcoin is an open-source crypto currency. Bitcoin is termed as a decentralized digital currency and even I know that no financial institution is required to transact this Bitcoin and Bitcoin is not a currency issued by the government of any country.
Regulate isn't always about completely controlling something.

As small as the government consider Bitcoin is an asset and should be taxed, it's already a form of regulations. Other kind of regulations are: treat Bitcoin as a commodity or property, banks restrict Bitcoin transactions etc etc.

This means most of countries already regulate Bitcoin, if Bitcoin didn't regulated, it should be stand in "grey area".

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football/Soccer Winning Strategy on: May 05, 2024, 07:58:43 AM
I think it's nothing different with betting on favorite teams because you're trying to bet on match with higher chance to win with low odds. I'm not really like to bet on low odds, so I either gamble on underdog or parlay bets.

It's more sadden to see low odds bets are lose than high odds bets since low odds betting mostly gamble using most of the bankroll.

If you have 1/2 chances in hockey or you have 1/3 in soccer.
Just bet on "draw no bet", so you only need to pick from two options.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 05, 2024, 04:33:38 AM
Actually, the picture didn't make any sense so I consider it a fake.

How can the total win amount be 96k and he can cash out 50k with 3.75 odds of the parley missing, it doesn't make any sense, mathematically and logically
A reasonable cash out amount would be 20k, but never ever 50k. He wouldn't even get a 50k cash out if the odds of the missing game would be 2.0, yet again 3.5 is absolutely impossible.

The total odds of his won bets multiplied together are 17.16 x 1500$ = 25700$, also you get less when you cash out, so 20000$ , as I said.

Conclusion, just a troll.

Correct, I just try to use odds calculator, @OP should only receive $25K instead of $49K. It seems @OP want to get affirmation and praises from other people, especially he's making a correct decision to cashed out the money since his last bet is lose.

He need to explain and give the evidences how true is this, if not he should expect he will get a neutral feedback. Cheesy

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: May 05, 2024, 03:18:53 AM
IMO If the government no longer requires casinos to do KYC verification for new gamblers, casinos will go ahead and still do KYC verifications because they have seen the benefits of knowing their customers better than when they just allowed people to come onto their platform and gamble without their knowledge of who they were.
First, thinking the government no longer requires to do KYC won't happen, you can't separates government and KYC.

Second, why the hell casinos need to know who were gamble in their sites? their main focus is to earn as much as possible, not watching someone gamble.

Casinos really love gambling addicts because they can maximize their profit, self exclusion or slogan "only gamble you can afford to lose" are just gimmicks.

Two points you mentioned aren't make sense at all.
13  Other / Meta / Re: SUGGESTION FOR OUR FORUM on: May 04, 2024, 02:57:06 PM
I disagree, how can the administrator trust a new created account that promise to not scam? you proved nothing.

You can just post it in Altcoin discussion, no need to have a new sub section. Actually you need to be grateful if the administrator not remove Altcoins board because this forum is mainly to discuss about Bitcoin.

Before you, many users had asked to add NFT section, until now there's nothing happen.

Forum is against Altcoin airdrops, you must know about it.

Giveaway threads are not allowed
The airdrop that @OP talking about is different with the "old" airdrop because you don't have to reply after you joined.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: May 04, 2024, 01:19:09 PM
His father was wrong because "no one can be trusted in this life except yourself", so if you asked or giving something to other people, never expect it will back to you.

What will I do? I will work hard and pay off all the money I used to gamble, there's no reason to regret and not doing anything, there's no turning back in life. But if my father report me to the police or do other thing to punish me, I won't complain because I know I did stupid thing.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do casinos require users to verify their identity through a KYC policy? on: May 04, 2024, 01:06:59 PM
So why they don't require a user a KYC when they sign up? and why would they wait until they'll suspect a user before they will let them pass the KYC?
Because they would lost many potential gamblers, haven't you see when a new casino post ANN thread in this forum, then there's always a person asking "why you ask KYC upon registration? please remove this requirement or I won't gamble here".

If you're the casino owner, what's your reaction? obviously if you able to remove it, you will remove it.

Casino is a profit oriented business, what they do is to make sure people gamble in their casino and loss the money as much as possible.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN AT 63K. What should we expect moving forward? on: May 04, 2024, 11:47:43 AM
My serious reaction:

I mean, what? it's just $63K, Bitcoin was reach $73K and I didn't even sell any of my coins, so why I need to pay attention when the price is just $63K?

If you think Bitcoin price always increase then you're wrong, it could be a correction or dump again, no one knows. Short term rise isn't what I'm looking for, but I'm looking for huge spikes that will happen in the end of the year!
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which device do you prefer for gambling ? on: May 04, 2024, 11:28:29 AM
If I gamble on sports, I will choose PC because I need to search many information before placing my bet.

If I gamble on slots, I will choose mobile phone because it's lightweight and more relax.

So I can't choose either one of them as I use different device for different games.

Anyway, I think the laptop is probably my preference when it comes to gambling because it gives you a better experience and as I mentioned above, it is portable so it can be taken anywhere with you just like a mobile phone as long as you have a backpack with you all the time.
Are you comfortable to gamble outside? people might not notice if you gamble using mobile phone, but PC is larger than mobile phone, I'm bit scared whenever people watching me doing my gambling activity.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you taking advantage of this red market? on: May 03, 2024, 04:44:51 PM
Nope, I don't have any stable coins anymore.

I wish I have money right now, so I will try to gamble in few shitcoins since the price is keep declining.

I need to thank Bitcoin halving because Bitcoin halving make my shitcoins portfolio went halve to. Tongue

Since I'm not a fan to cut loss, I choose to hold my shitcoins until the price spikes which I don't know when it will happen, I will be fine since I'm currently not in needed.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: May 03, 2024, 04:32:58 PM
      -    It's really good to use the gambling winnings in the right way, because I've had the best experience that I used my casino winnings to pay my electricity bill which was around 100$ more.

Then the other things that I won were not that big that I used to treat my family or I was able to buy our groceries anyway.
Gambling can bring happiness to other people, sadly many medias didn't want to show this good news to other people, but they always try to publish bad news. That's why whenever someone see other people who gamble, they think those people are bad people and must be avoided.

The government and medias are successfully brainwash many people.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: May 03, 2024, 04:27:39 PM
Yep I ever won with my last cash, but the amount I win wasn't really big, it just half from my bankroll, so I choose to gamble in order to 4x my bankroll and then I lost it all lol. It's really rare for a gambler to win huge with the last cash, but it will something that you won't ever forget it in your life.

Every gambler who already has a mindset like this will be difficult to prevent because he only thinks that betting his last money will recover all his losses but in fact it is rare that the lucky ones end up losing again, spending all the money without any remaining, but if the gambler has a healthier mindset usually he will stop playing when he has used up the budget he has set because it is important to gamble with a limited budget in order to avoid gambling addiction. At least it can be an alarm to stop gambling and not use his last money to gamble, there is still tomorrow to be able to have fun happy again at gambling.
The most important point is don't deposit more money if you run out of your bankroll, comeback later.
