1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is LTC dead? on: Today at 02:55:34 PM
Define dead.

IMO LTC is not dead, it's always fine because there are no CEX delist it, still on top 100 coins, and the price relatively stable.

I'd say a coin is dead if the coin didn't include in all three criteria I mentioned above. Just like LUNA and UST which used to stay at top 100 coins, but went below 100 ranks right now.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bnb network (trust wallet) on: Today at 02:47:07 PM
[1] BNB smart chain: It is now called as BNB chain which is a copy of the Ethereum blockchain but it is far better than Ethereum.
[2] BNB: That is the native BNB token that fuels the Binance exchange & the BNB chain.
[3] OpBNB: It is a layer 2 solution on the BNB chain.
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) where the address started with 0x... and Binance Chain started with bnb... are completely different, don't mix it.

@OP I'm not sure if OpBNB has two version because I can only find one (the same color like Binance Smart Chain i.e. black color).

this is the same network? then if i send this metamask to trust wallet can i receive fund? i want to make it sure that fund can not be lose.
What's exactly the picture is? I can't see anything, just blank with black color.

Bayern Munich is the richest club in the Bundesliga so I think the reason Bayern Munich sells players is not because they don't have the money but want to let go of players who they feel don't make enough contributions, Jamal Musiala is a young player that Munich has as well as an important player and he can help the striker when is needed so he can't just be let go. He will be an asset and a good future at Bayern Munich even though there are clubs that are interested in him. I don't think Bayern Munich will let that happen.

I'm sure that even though Bayern Munich doesn't sell players, it can still recruit the players it needs. So far, there have been no financial problems for Munich in recruiting expensive players as long as the players really play well, like Bayern who recruited players from rivals Borussia Dortmund and currently it seems like Munich is targeting Bayer Leverkusen players so that next season there will not be such strong competition from that club.
Yep, Bayern Munich never had financial crisis.

Bayern Munich only want to sell their young mediocre players or top players who're already quite old, Musiala is a talented young player, so there's no way they want to sell him.

Manchester City is really need to find a suitable player to replace De Bruyne, unfortunately no top teams willing to sell their attacking midfielders.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum requirements to send a bitcoin signed message? on: April 18, 2024, 06:05:22 AM
Bitcoin signed message is free, I think you're talking about OP_Return message?

According to @Coding Enthusiast, it's similar to normal transactions. But there were some examples that you will spend more depend on how long the message you created.

Nearly the same as when you make a payment to a legacy address!

TX Size =
4 byte version
1 byte txInCount
  36 byte outpoint
  1 byte scriptLength
  72 byte script
  33 byte public key
  4 byte sequence
1 byte txOutCount
  8 byte amount
  1 byte size of script
  1 byte OP_Return + 1 byte size of the data + (0 to 40 bytes)
4 byte locktime

Min size=167 bytes
Multiply that with fee in satoshi/byte unit and you will get how much it can cost.
If you use SegWit then you have to calculate virtual size which is 89 vbytes so it an cost even less.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 18, 2024, 05:53:29 AM
Earlier in the day we saw two La Liga teams, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, were eliminated. And today the Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City were eliminated. Champions League is very difficult to predict.

Arsenal and City will now focus solely on the Premier League title. Manchester City have managed to occupy the top spot in the table. City's biggest chance of winning the title is if they can maintain their winning streak in the coming matches. The Liverpool team is also likely to be eliminated from the Europa League. So these three teams will now fight for Premier League only. The Premier League will become more competitive.
Arsenal is the only one team that can focus in Premier League, Manchester City is still on the race to get FA Cup trophy, next two days they will meet Chelsea.

It's not that Champions League is very difficult to predict, but most people underestimate other teams. They think that due to Bayern Munich can't win Bundesliga, they will lose in Champions League. If Manchester City is dominating in Premier League, they think they will win Champions League.

While the reality both Manchester City and Real Madrid are equal, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are equal too.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: The collapse of central banks...Inevitable? on: April 18, 2024, 05:43:55 AM
Banks will not disappear, but few banks will collapse and new banks will comes up.

As long as you, I, and most people still using fiat, not using other currency, banks and fiat will survive even though there are many good currency and assets that we know better than fiat. Moreover in some regions, you're only allowed to use the legal tender that accepted in your countries, if someone broke this rules, they deserved going to jail.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 18, 2024, 05:05:43 AM
Haaland is still too gentle in important matches like this. He had almost no threat from the first leg to this second leg. If it weren't for Kevin De Bruyne, Mancity probably would have lost in the main round.

Mancity repeated Barca's mistake when playing at home but could not take advantage of this great advantage. When the match went to penalty shootouts, it was clear that the pressure on Mancity was much greater than on Real Madrid. They put an end to themselves when they missed two penalties. It's a pity that both PRemier League representatives had to stop in the quarterfinals.
How can Haaland be able to score if all Real Madrid's defenders are put an eye on him?

Manchester City performed admirably in this match, taking 33 shots with 9 on target, but luck was not on their side. This is in stark contrast to Barcelona, who did not control the game and lacked the determination to secure a victory.

Not surprising to see they got eliminated, Premier League's teams are just overrated while the truth any strong teams from other leagues are as good as them.

C'monnn man, what are you talking about?? I've read through several mega threadslike this one   and I've observed that it has a whole number of people that left the forum before [when you could make a hundreds of thousands of incoherent post and rank up like wild fire], in-between and after the merit system was adopted. Having these delusions in your mind is  definitely gonna make nothing outta you!
Are you serious? Hal Finney was phenomenal, same like Satoshi. Popular people definitely will always be remembered.

We're talking about merit, is merit for popular people or good quality post without need to know which one is the sender?

Lol you serious? Its so easy to rank up now that even shitposters are reaching higher ranks.
Obviously shitposters are easy to rank up because you're talking about people I referred i.e. helped by locals community or gangs.

Check the merit history on top 10 Member ranks (exclude exch) all of them are from locals

Kobbie Mainoo is on the rise, he was reportedly a target for big European teams including Real Madrid. However it seems that Manchester United will immediately take further steps to extend his contract so that he doesn't let it go. I'm sure that Mainoo has special qualities that need to be explored further, but it all depends on the coach and Ten Hag doesn't seem to be able to do that well. I mean Ten Hag is not the type of coach who has a sense of pride, his ego always comes first. I know Ten Hag has ambition but on the other hand he doesn't realize the potential that Manchester United players have. In fact Manchester United does not lack quality players but the coach is not qualified to manage it all.
Sancho will back in the next three months, if Ten Hag still stays, it means Sancho won't want to play for Manchester United and he might loaned to other teams again.

Manchester United don't have to sell Mainoo to other teams because Manchester United currently didn't have a good squad. There are many teams sell their potential player and that player perform very well in the next team, to sign the player back is already impossible due to the high too high.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Examining the Concept of Social Media and Currency: Is it Necesarry? on: April 16, 2024, 06:08:07 AM
Does need or gain any use of adding a feature that lets a user create a bitcoin wallet that would serve the following purposes:

1.) Facilitate public actions
Nope, many people don't like it Would it be possible if there was some kind of like button?

2.) Send BTC to a forum user
3.) receive BTC from forum user[/b][/center]
What exactly the purpose is?

If the forum create their own centralized wallet exchange, it kills the Bitcoin decentralization.
If the forum create their own non custodial wallet, it just add unnecessary work, if Electrum and Bluewallet works very well, why we need to shift to other wallet without any reason?
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 16, 2024, 05:21:41 AM
Liverpool are interested in Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong, meaning Trent Alexander-Arnold could move into midfield.

I think not only Liverpool, but a lot of players are going to be pursued by bigger clubs, I am talking about players from Leverkusen. And I think the market value of those players are also going to increase. And I think if Liverpool actually gets him, there are going to be positional changes in the squad. But I donít want to make any assumptions very early on because the change that is going to happen with Liverpool is very big. The coach of Liverpool is going to change. So There are going to be huge changes in the squad in my opinion. So any prediction can be wrong.
These all just a cheap rumor, currently there are not many teams interested with Leverkusen's players.

Actually Bayern Munich is interested with Frimpong, but he's over valued, he was good in the last season, but now his performance is declining. But I'm surprised how can a team like Liverpool is interested with him even though he was not as good as before.

I don't expect there will be huge changes in the squad, they need at least to prove themselves two times in Bundesliga, this will make other teams believe they're good quality instead of luck.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 16, 2024, 05:05:43 AM
Very surprising Chelsea can win with big margins while yesterday there were so many upsets happen.

Despite Palmer perform very well, I'm not happy to see his unsportsmanlike, he force himself to take penalty since it should be Madueke. Referee whispering when Madueke fell, not when Palmer fell. Palmer also pushed Jackson away, Chelsea need to give punishment to Palmer in order to control his ego, if not he will become Mbappe v2.0

now Palmer is Premier League top scorer with 20 goals
He need to thank his mother for giving name started with early alphabets, if his name started after "H" now he's on second position. Grin
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this add scalability? on: April 15, 2024, 03:20:48 PM

Visa is secure? read

Ethereum is decentralized? read

Ethereum is scalable? swapping two tokens cost $60.

The center part is filled by Bitcoin in Lightning Network. It's not possible to achieve all of them in Bitcoin network because many OGs like the current network, Bitcoin need to move to else where.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Post per day/ per month falling. on: April 15, 2024, 02:22:01 PM
Is there a reason For this continuous fall in posts?
1. Lack of merit* > users hard to rank up > demotivated > users leave the forum.

2. Less campaign > users post less than before.

*to be frank, we didn't lack of merit, although there's drop in merit sent, but the amount isn't that big. What we lack is people who give merit based on the post instead of the users, the current merit only distributed to few gangs or circles.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 15, 2024, 05:29:38 AM
And the next question is, who will be in first position until the end?
Who will be the best run?
Manchester City?
This may (probably) change again.
Obviously Manchester City, both Arsenal and Liverpool lost their consistency.

Manchester City once again have a big chance to win treble this season, they're currently in the top position on Premier League, semi final on FA Cup and quarter final on Champions League. Even Manchester City had a tighter schedule than Arsenal and Liverpool, but most of their players have a good quality.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: World need urgently decentralized kind of Fiat currency not USD on: April 15, 2024, 04:35:05 AM
Banks survive from lending, in order lending to survive, they need to prints new money otherwise they will lack of funds.

If banks didn't offer lending and they choose to survive from monthly charge, people would choose to save their money in homes to banks because saving in homes is free.

If this trend continue without any change, the banks would collapse.

So, if a country choose to use decentralized currency over centralized currency, they won't survive.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold vs bitcoin in a WWIII scenario on: April 14, 2024, 02:51:26 PM
I got into bitcoin because I believe that the monetary system is guaranteed to end in hyperinflation.
Bitcoin is honest money, if governments allow it to be that. It is not a hedge against hyperinflation, but it is a more honest substitute for the current monetary system.
You mean Bitcoin is accepted as a legal tender? it didn't help.

To date, most Salvadorans ignore bitcoin. They worry about the cryptocurrency's volatility in a cash-based economy where many live hand-to-mouth.
Some 88% of Salvadorans did not use it in 2023, according to a survey by the University of Central America's public opinion institute. Just 1% of remittances were sent in bitcoin.
Nearly two dozen people Reuters spoke to said they did not care to understand the cryptocurrency, but they were increasingly concerned about the lack of jobs and rising costs of housing and food.

El Salvador was been accept Bitcoin as legal tender since 2021, but until now there's no big adoption even Bitcoin already reach 3x times higher since 2022. You can expect a similar thing if Bitcoin has been accepted on other countries, they might ignore Bitcoin too.

I think I should sell my assets prior to a major war, and buy in after the crash
If that so,

Congratulations, it means you sell low, and you buy high.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 14, 2024, 02:37:24 PM
WTF, Liverpool even struggle against Crystal Palace, this is no joke. If Liverpool lose in this match, I don't believe they can win either in Premier League or Europa League.

On the other match, Fulham also make a surprise they can score 2 goals without any conceded, West Ham performance decline a lot.

So far we're seeing two surprises in two matches, will we see another surprise in Arsenal vs Aston Villa? Grin
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I disagree that each person has the right to choose their own path in life. on: April 13, 2024, 01:21:00 PM
This really depend on each parents.

Majority of (or probably all) parents will teach what they know to their kids, that's why there are many kids followed the same skills from their parents. However, sooner or later when the kids already grown up, if they realize they didn't like it, they might shift to something that they like to do.

So in case of Ronaldo Jr and Messi Jr, we will see them later.

Your list is biased.

I don't believe and Jambler worth to get high and very high ratings, although you've stated "My rating" which is subjective. I would give them neutral instead.

I agree deserve to get very high, they're an OG and they've complied with regulations, even though I also don't like regulations, but when it comes to centralized sites, you need to be regulated. I would say Binance deserve to get high ratings though.
