Here we go, our next Blockparty

Eng. and German Main topic is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5447969.0
but in sync with this pool topic

######################

Hello all,

let's go to the next group buy from Hashingpower.

As already requested by some forum users I put a new group buy for solo mining. Start at the earliest after the next diff reduction.

~15-18 users for each 0.005 BTC, 0.01 BTC or more BTC can participate. A higher number is not useful, otherwise a possible profit will be much too small.
If smaller amounts than the minimum amount are allowed in a single case, then the calculation of the rewards will be based on the amount of BTC deposited.
Hashingpower is rented on Nicehash and shot on the solo pool.
The status of the group run can be observed during the runtime via the Live View link.
Here you can see what our hashingpower is and what our highest share / bestshare is.

If a block is found, the reward will be paid out to the participants.

Lets go and let us find a block

In the past we had found 10 blocks --> 196 BTC!
Block list: 385022, 394940, 394946, 395087, 396941, 399709, 401934, 706369, 712217, 780525

Those who want to participate send their BTC to the following address bc1qlpd45688hce39lusur8sdnuzy3z2dx4uvrgpkt and post their participation with the following template:

Please send your coins only if there is still a place available.

To make it a little easier in the new year, I've decided to do the reservations differently.
In the new year there are reservations possible for people who pay for 2, 5, 10, ... block party runs in front.
If the quota is exhausted, the place will be automatically free and someone else can use the place.

Specifically, we start with the Blockparty Run 2022-1 and if someone sends 20x 0.01 BTC at the first time, he is practically permanent until the Blockparty Run 20.
If someone joins the Blockparty Run 2022-7 and sends 10x 0.01 BTC, he will be a member until Blockparty Run 17.
This simplifies the organization and places are not permanently taken by the same people, unless someone sends 50x 0.01 BTC for the 50 planned Runs.

If we should not create at the end 2023 the Runs, for which someone already paid, the last Run in 2023 all payments are used around longer to run.

As long as open slots are available the coins can be sent at any time without an OK from me

Of course there is no guarantee that we will find a block, but it would be mega if we repeat the runs until we find one!
Should something happen like: Nicehash account hacked, deposit address in forum post hacked, BTC sent to a wrong address, etc. no compensation for the loss will be provided. Everyone takes this risk or does not participate in the block party if they do not agree with it. However, I assure that everything will be done with the highest care as before.

It's kind of fun monitoring the Bitcoin network and seeing what hash got the blocks...makes me wonder, what's the BIGGEST or HIGHEST difficulty ever hashed by a miner? Is there any way to figure that out?

For example:
Block 751848 hash "00000000000000000002f03ad7a1dd69628c4747ea8751dc9a5497fd451a3667"
Block 751849 hash "00000000000000000000bdaaf8190000aac4323bd941d1095deffc36295f6512" (clearly much higher difficulty)

Also, how does one calculate the difficulty level of any particular submitted hash? i.e. What's the calculation relating the number of leading zeroes of a hash and the difficulty level of the hash?
(I've tried reading up on it and just haven't found a clear answer)

Thanks in advance and so sorry if it's a simple answer!

I think this will answer your question perfectly...

Someone is hitting at 150p.
I'm looking forward to hitting it after a long time.

"hashrate15m": "152P",
"hashrate1hr": "163P",

"hashrate1d": "70P",

"bestshare": 17021964077661,

Now, you got 17T,  need more to 29.2T at moment.

No, he does not have a 17T. The pools highest attempt since the last block was found is currently 17T.  Wink And when i say last block, i mean the last block found by CK and not globally on the blockchain...

Delete the shit firmware/software called BrainOS, and go back to factory firmware..

And you won't have any issues, and probably have a higher chance of finding a block as the software/firmware has been proven to work..

Can you post me the address on here, as I won't be near a pc for awhile, so I can send and give you the txid when done..

Thanks

Having multiple workers does not increase or change odds for mining.

The only thing it does is give you a individual worker/miner breakdown and stats, in order to quickly identify a machine corresponding to the worker and makes miner management lot quicker and easier..

However keep in mind that the luck is calculated wrong on this pool...

Due to difficulty changes every 2 weeks and if you mine past a difficulty change point the accuracy of the luck is off..

It should have a running total, for every period of difficulty adjustment but instead it just uses shares / luck..

Can someone explain me what is the pool difficulty?

I understand what is the network difficulty, but the pool one got me off-guard.

From what I've read, this is what it means:

"Pool difficulty is how hard the job the pool gives you to finish in a time frame (set by pool)"

But I though the network difficulty defined the job for every miner (which is to pick a valid block).

What is a job then? I though that a job was basically the pool telling the miner: "here's a set of transactions, and here's your Nonce range [10000 to 99999], now check if you can hash below value X". Which I assume would have the same difficulty for every miner.

What am I missing here?

Network difficulty is the target that you have to find above in order to get a block.

Pool difficulty does not really matter in solo mining, it more matters when doing pooled mining to be able to track the stats and do calculations to show how many shares your miners have submitted or shall I say work done...

I tried to search and go through the thread as much as I can and can't find anything..

if I wanted to rent mining power could I use nicehash?
when I try to validate the pool, everything looks good but I get the following error:
Code:
Pool difficulty too low (provided=10000, minimum=500000)... Error

thanks

ShitHash aka NiceHash uses a higher port..

So use 4334 instead of the default 3333 for ckpool when using shithash and you will be fine... Also you have www.miningrigrentals.com which is also a rental provider.

I don't think it's possible, but if the block hits at 2.148Gh / s, isn't it great? It looks interesting, so I'll try mining for a while.

Stupidest shit I ever heard in my life, but your call.. waste of time imo..

So let me help you out, a 3090 farming ETH will make 7-8$/day, then you use those 7-8$ earned mining ETH and rent out ASIC miners which you use to mine bitcoin solo.

For 7-8$ daily you can have roughly 40-45TH hashrate on solo which roughly translates to 1 in 33k odds per day, compared to mining btc with that card at the odds of   1 in 620M..

Common sense and logic my friend... don't be so lazy and do some research and understand the stuff you are attempting.. might get better results in life..

this is the proper move as I type I have a laptop mining on nice hash and every 25 days it makes enough for a rental. so I rent  and point here or an other pool.

to directly point a gpu to ckpool is silly.

gave 8 merits keep posting and you will make rank

What do you mine on nicehash with the laptop?

It's the one and only correct way to go about it. Glad someone is on the ball and maximizing chances at every given opportunity.

CPU/GPU mining bitcoin is a waste of time... and the pool won't show any of your performance information as it's too tiny and pointless..

Very easy, do some research about mining and the actual protocol..

Coins are generated at 2 addresses instead of one as can be seen.

Block amounts are always fixed + fees, so if you do a coinbase check. (The data your miner is exchanging with the pool and decode it you will see your address and the pools adress with static amount to pay out)

CK has no control whatsoever with the coins, as you are doing direct coinbase mining.

Also due to it being coinbase mining, you yourself can make a quick little program to check randomly whenever you want the actual coinbase that you are mining, and that will reassure and prove that CK is trustworthy and not stealing hashrate and blocks like 99% of the other shitcoin pools.

Then the bitcoin network will generate the new coins into your address minus the fees which is also automatically generated in the pools address.

That is strange. The network transfers directly to my address, but the fees are forwarded to the pool?

But the pool says it takes 2%, not just the fees. I don't see how can the pool take 2% (or any other arbitrary value), without reporting itself as the block founder, and then taking thos 2% and transfer de 98% to my address.

Like said above the coins are generated directly into block finders address and ckpools 2% fee address... Coinbase mining allows multi address payouts without the requirement for a 3rd party to issue them.

It's done directly via multi generation and not a single address..

What most other pools do is totally different, they mine to own address then distribute via there own database the payout reward..

But that's also with a reason, especially when there is 1000s of different payout addresses mining together to earn that same reward.

Where here its only you mining for yourself, you don't find a block you don't get paid hence the term "solo".

Over there you will always be paid your share even if your personal miners don't find a block
