9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Legit trading courses on: September 03, 2020, 03:04:06 PM
I could say Trader cobb is legit because I've some friends who have gone through the lectures and come out to be profiting cryptocurrency traders.

But from your statement you seem to be new on the general dealings of cryptocurrencies and because of that I strongly recommend you get more acquainted to cryptography, block chain, it's technology and as well familiarize with the possible risks associated with trading cryptocurrencies before delving in.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: VPN for cryptocurrencies? on: September 03, 2020, 02:28:43 PM
I recommend you store your wallet on a system that's not connected to internet it would help enhence safety and out of hacks. And if you're to try other VPN it shouldn't be a free one because their security ain't guaranteed.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone else having trouble earning Merit? on: August 28, 2020, 12:57:43 PM
The first is thing to do is to have your mind far off gaining merits, make facilitating posts in the forum, read and understand the sticky/pinned posts in threads and also get yourself familiarized with the forums rules and regulations, then boom! you'll see yourself gaining merits even without knowing!
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Despite printing stablecoins daily, why is bitcoin yet to cross above 20k on: August 25, 2020, 07:22:12 AM
I have been curious lately why is bitcoin yet to cross all time high of last bull run with the immense amount of stable coin that are minted on tether USDT and other stable coins.

It is quite too soon to be curious on Bitcoin reaching or exceeding the ATH of last bull run, halving was just months back and remember in 2016 it didn't just spring up as fast to the ATH it was then by late 2017 that Bitcoin went from $5.600 to $20.089 in just four
weeks for this reason all sort of curiosity should be at ease.

So sad... this guy seemed almost genuine in his desire to be a better user... then this happened:

User: Collier1

Copy (archived)
It's quite unfortunate that Bitcoin had a less user-friendly system back then Since no seed phrases or any other means of restoring access to your wallet existed at that time, BTC addresses were recorded in a single “wallet.dat” file. And so If you misplace it or it simply break for instance, you loss everything as well. And in this case, a fortune.

Original (archived)
This is but one of the reminders that Bitcoin was a far less user-friendly system back in 2010. Since no seed phrases or any other means of restoring access to your wallet existed at the time, BTC addresses were recorded in a single “wallet.dat” file. If you lost it—due to a drive being misplaced or simply breaking, for example—you lost all your funds. And in this case, a fortune.

Real low effort text spin there... right from the article that was linked in the OP he was replying to Undecided

The accusion here happened as an error in performance, whilst I was typing my reply on the post I formerly wanted to quote the original post and I did but as I proceeded to type I got an important message from outside the forum which needed my immidiate response so I had to minimize my browser for that purpose having left it still on the comment box and on getting back after few hours it skipped my mind that that was supposed to be a quote and on revision to send I removed the quote tag and revised the entire comment again as usual then sent.
As you observed that it was just right from the same OP link on the post, it at least would let you understand it should be a mistake sort of because logically no one would be involved so loosely in plagiarism knowing it's a serious academic offence. I regret my mistakes and pledge to be more careful and attentive.

I'm new here and not near perfection, though working to be, i will head to correct the said comment, make it right the way it should.

15  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Germany the NEW World’s Crypto Superpower on: August 17, 2020, 01:09:32 PM
The introduction of electronic securities (eWpG) is
just one of such futuristic advances cryptography deserve, a replacement for these paper certificates is needed to ensure a more secure and easily marketable alternative by entering the details regarding these securities on a blockchain-based register, which would provide more hitch free transactions to a larger extent.

The hopeful successful practice would as well rise the interests of other nations which would in turn promote crypto prominence further. The future holds more!
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we protect Crypto Ecosystem on: August 12, 2020, 07:39:00 AM
I think the best thing to do in order to curb the menace is to make BITCOINTALK.ORG website more popularized and available to everyone interested in the dealing with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general as the forum is handy to that effect.

I doubt any regular user here in the forum would ever fall prey to those scam threats and besides there is no other easier and possible means to this end because one can not easily pose restrictions on mere posting on social media since attention to it is to a large extent an individual choice to make.

BITCOINTALK.ORG is key.

All thanks to developers for making the system more reliable and flexible which in turn has increased people's interest in Bitcoin and as well provided needed prominence. If there were continuous stories about such incidence on the Bitcoin system it would've surely installed threat and the feeling of insecurity to then future investor and users at large and so would mar the supposed prominence and success of Bitcoin over the years.

Bitcoin will keep going stronger and better!!!
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia has developed covid-19 vaccine. on: August 11, 2020, 01:54:05 PM
It's a welcoming and significant development for sure.

But on the other hand, most counties have seen the struggle for covid-19 vaccine as being a struggle for supremacy among other nations and not necessarily a struggle to save the world. The aggressive and speedy progress from some countries who are eager to be declared premier on possible victory on one of the worst outbreaks in the world be (Covid-19) is something to worry about as well because this assumable competition would possibly led to an unreliable cure which could turn to be harmful or give people a false sense of security about their immunity. Global health experts had warned that most countries are skipping some of the critical and large-scale testing that is essential to determine if a possible covid-19 protection is safe and effective.

Disclaimer: I don't mean 'Sputnik V' is one of those.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Some chinese guy bought most expensive face mask in the world $1.5 million. on: August 11, 2020, 12:08:23 PM
I don't see his purchase being bad because i see it from a different angle.

The face mask is said to be an 18-karat white gold mask decorated with 3,600 white and black diamonds and fitted with top-rated N99 filters. And because of it's features it could be said to be used as a store of value which is one of the reasons for purchase of gold and diamonds.

It could also be likened to the purchase of Bitcoin of similar amount just as a store of value and an investment also.

I thank everyone for your helpful contributions as I've gone through the suggested threads, read them through carefully having good comprehension on the guidelines therein. I would earnestly appreciate if there would be more suggestions on such significant threads for assistance.

The forum is the best way to learn more about cryptocurrency. As what you have said reading is the best tool to learn it. It is just like a self study where you learn more when you search for more related on the topics you wanted to learn. You can use the search button in regards to the words or topics that you wanted to learn step by step process.

Your comment above on the forum search sounds very interesting and helpful just like the rest of them as well but I would further acknowledge if you or anyone else would drop a good guide on how to reach out the forum search engine as suggested, I can't really find it still.
Again, i would also love to make my preceding post look as beautiful as most posts I see here in the forum or even anything as close, i observed it's ability to make reading more likable and apprehensive to me and others maybe. Thanks all.
