61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [OMG] OmiseGO - Speculation & Discussion on: September 11, 2017, 10:43:01 PM
At least, OMG being listed on Binance tomorrow. So, what is your expectation. We sshould see aa nnew high. You think its still worth it even for it being alteady pretty high?

I got in pretty late as well. I'm on vacation and not at home and my friend was telling me about OMG. What caught my attention was this company was already established, but they now trying to make a crypto currency version. I'm not a fan of buying high, I normally buy as low as I can, but in this case, it's not worth missing the boat. It's like the people who didn't get in earlier and said "its now $5.00 USD per coin, its too high, well guess what? They waited and missed the boat.

Regardless what price you get in at now, in a few months we should have huge gains. I rather buy in now then to wait for a dip. The only difference is, I'm buying in waves, instead of going all in at one price.

Target 100USD/1OMG?

I was thinking more like 250USD/1OMG

I also believe this casino is rigged. Go small you win most of the time, but the second you go big (while playing roulette) it goes to Green/Zero. I had played at the live casinos all the time and I had never seen Zero pop up so many so many times in just 10 rolls. Sure, it can be just a coincidence, so I thought. So, I took a break from the game and came back to play a few hours later, same thing. Great entertainment, but it's just that.. . entertainment.

I didn't send coins to a non-verge address, I sent bitcoins to a verge address.. I know, it's a stupid mistake. I copied too fast

Look up the transaction ID and check the blockchain to see what happened to your coins, most likely got returned

Hey guys!

I accidentally withdrew BTC to a XVG address. Is this fixable?

Thanks in advance

If the address is invalid, wouldn't the coins bounce back to your wallet? (i'm not sure, just guessing)

Just converted all my btc to xvg. Proud xvg hodler here!

I don't think it's a good idea to go all in at once. Instead, go 50% XVG and keep the other 50% free as BTC.
When XVG takes a dip down (healthy consolidation), that's when you go in again with the other half to average down on entry price per coin

An example image of a healthy/bullish consolidation pattern

I'd be more then happy to! That way, I don't have to waste my money on transaction fee when I buy BitCoins -- haha!

XVG / Verge is starting its next leg up
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 17, 2017, 10:16:21 PM
Long term gain, it's not too late. I remember when BitCoin was $5 per coin, when it moved up to $20, I people was saying it was too late and the "bubble" going to burst. A few years later, BitCoin went up to $1,000 per coin. Again, people said it was too late and that it's a bubble. This year, BitCoin almost reached $3,000. People needs to understand the price is just going to keep going higher and it will keep rising for many years to come. Once the older generation passes and the younger generation grows older, BitCoins prices will be so high, its unfathomable today. The younger generation is being born in to cryptocurrency. They see no difference from BTC and USD.

I remember back in the days when I saw an article on Business Week magazine -- I knew it was going to be something big. Everyone laughed at me when I told them I was buying BitCoins. Today, everyone coming out of no where asking me about BitCoin and how they can invest. I said it once in the past and I'll say it again; there no stooping crypto currency, it's the future.

I started out trading the US stock market, but I was so addicted to it I decided give Forex a try since it's 24/7. The problem with Forex, when you set to buy or sell at a certain price, it doesn't actually execute at that price exactly. It's always around the price range you set, but it can make a huge difference. Now that Crypto currency is around, I once again fell in love. The only difference is, these alt coins feels more like penny stocks. The percent gain/loss moves rather quickly. Great for entertainment, but if you're in for the long haul and don't have time to watch the charts all day, stick with trading BTC or one of the other more valued coins. I'm sure the majority of the people here buys BitCoin as an investment.

The chart is starting to look bullish. It's getting ready to make a run up. I'm thinking about having a small sell order at 230 range to take in some profit, but I may lower my ask later on if the sell queue is too large when time comes

You can play with VERGE at
Luckygames

Do you know anywhere I can play Baccarat using crypto coins?

@drave2007 Keep in mind BTC value is dropping and XVG is traded vs BTC. There isn't going to be much volume if there no new interest to XVG and there won't be any while people are unloading their BTC for cash. I believe this price range is a good entry point. I got in a few hours ago at 00000105. There is a lot of support at 00000101 range (on the Bittrex exchange). I don't see it going below that point or even below 00000105 for the time being. If it does drop down to 00000099, this is when I'll pull out and take it as a small loss. However, I don't see that happening. At 00000105 or even 00000106 is a good entry point for short term gains. I just like how the chart looks from a TA point of view. The coin is clearly over sold and is ready to run up within the next few days.

I didn't even realize you were the one who answered that question -- haha!

No, it didn't sound like a sales pitch to me. It's little things like this I'd like to know about. I had been out of the game for some time now, but now that my BTCs are in profit, time to look for another coin to go in big with. I still haven't decided which coin to jump in, but I do have some interest in GLD.

Is this true? Was GLD coin's lead dev classmates with Ethereum’s dev at University of Waterloo?

In addition, our lead developer, Amir Eslampanah, who was classmates with Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin at the University of Waterloo, is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in cryptocurrency today.

79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core client extremely slow and unresponsive when synchronizing on: June 28, 2017, 07:46:56 AM
Is there also a way to fix the original problem and use Bitcoin Core?
Or do you all use Electrum or some other light wallet?

I couldn't take it anymore. I downloaded the blockchain via torrent, waiting forever for it to index. Everything was good after.. . so I thought. After 4 days of not loading up the wallet, it took over 24 hours to resync!  I gave in and moved all my coins to Electrum. Even that took forever

I was wondering what makes this coin different from clone coins? I'm looking to sell some of my BTCs for a new upcoming coin. Can anyone tell me more about this one?
