321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best long term cold storage? on: July 02, 2016, 05:51:33 PM
You may create armory wallet, then make paper fragmented backup. Send fragments to several your friends or family's members. When you need to restore your wallet, collect "n of m" fragments from your friends and voila! You may also store paper backup in your deposit box in bank if you trust to bank and to your government Smiley

What if friends and family share their parts, would it be possible for them to retrieve your wallet against your will ? The system seems nice, but it may depend too much on the human factor (which is usually the weak point in any security-sensitive system).
322  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 4 Launches Tomorrow! on: July 02, 2016, 05:48:53 PM
Even though I don't agree with its philosophy, primedice has been the main dice game for years. The website is well done, it has regular updates, wasn't involved in any kind of hack or scandal and so on.  It's good to see a quality development over the years in bitcoin ecosystem Wink
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 02, 2016, 05:45:50 PM
It's funny how nobody is considering a final with Italy or Germany. They are both very strong teams with good and constant results lately. They are the most likely to win the competition when we see the sub-average results of France and Portugal.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin casinos have that power to make changes in the price of bitcoin ?? on: July 02, 2016, 11:11:37 AM
Is there any casino using their funds for SWAPs ? Since they have thousands of bitcoins it could reduce significantly the interest rate offered by this site. Other than that there is no way to change bitcoin price without any risk for the casino (maybe trading with the funds might do some change, but it involves a lot of risk...)
325  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining in Winter bellow 0 Celsius? on: July 02, 2016, 10:58:56 AM
Hello,
I have done quite a bit of research, but haven't found a proper answer yet.
I live in Canada and would like to build a little mining farm out in a shed made of thin steel.
Here it gets bellow -35 degrees Celsius, but miner temperatures go down to only 0 degrees.
What would happen if i had them running in this shed? Wouldn't they heat up the shed enough to keep it warm? Or would they just create moisture and shorten out?
This seems very dangerous...
What would you guys recommend?

I have tried running a few S5's in balcony through last winter. Surprisingly they all survived without any issues at around -20. Below this temp I didn't run them. To prevent dust I put them all under a sofa cover. Fans usually were under 3k rpm. Only time I had problem with it was the router failed to boot up. (yea i threw a wifi router on balcony as a repeater of my main indoor router.)

Did you not have any issue with them getting wet? I thought if you run them in extremely cold conditions the heat would cause condensation and then you would start getting water all over your miners which everntually would cause big problems. At -20 i thought maybe your fans could seize up as well unless you were running them without them due to it being cold enough already?

Well of course you need to ensure there would be no tons of snow around your miner. Some slush was fine for me. The sofa cover helped a lot because it was breathable but also kept some warm air inside it. This made the cover like an inflated balloon. inner temperature would be around 10 degC.

You will need to play with the cover a bit so ensure it allows air flow to enter from the bottom tip, while also allows over heated air to escape from the top by poking a few small holes (1~2 cm diameter).
Haha Awesome ! It seems like a nice setup. Do you have any pictures ?
Wouldn't it be better to store them in a cold place in your house, like a basement ? At least this way the heat would not be lost and you could save a few bucks in heating.

What is the lifetime of a USB flash drive (if you don't use it) ? I know that some SD cards wipe themselves after a while, it would be really a shame if you lose your wallet because of this...
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People deserve to lose their Bitcoins ? on: July 02, 2016, 10:42:42 AM
The independence of Bitcoin has advantages (nobody can take you money like they already have in Cyprus and some other banks), but these advantages come with inconvenients (if people scam you there is no way to recover your money). It's part of the deal, if you think it's not worth if just don't use it.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 02, 2016, 10:25:40 AM
as stated for yesterday match for wales vs belgium it will be both half goals and over 2.5 goals, and it went really good and wales performed so cool.

today match between germany vs italy, this match will be boring as per analysis both team have strong goalkeeper and defence so correct score will be 0-0 , under 2.5 goals, under 1.5 goals and draw first half. match result will be in extra time or penalty shoot out
A good goalkeeper doesn't mean the match will be boring, it may have less goals but the show can be just as good. In my opinion, Italy will win. they have a great team this year (even if they don't have  an exceptional player)
329  Economy / Services / Re: mining site help on: June 30, 2016, 02:10:58 PM
If he was trying to make a legit cloud mining service he would be in the mining section, not asking webdeveloppers for help Grin
But I can bet some people have contacted him to propose their services.
330  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if a major financial crisis hit entire world in a few months on: June 30, 2016, 01:23:35 PM
Major worldwide financial crisis can not be, all markets are segmented. Financial crisis can be in one country, but not in all countries, it is not real. Even in one country financial crisis can be as very rare exception - all central banks in each country take care of such things preventing. Wink
You are really naive if you believe this ...
All banks are financially connected. The 2008 crisis was only due to the US and it affected all countries in the world. Central banks have some power, but they don't have infinite funds, so they cannot go against the market forever...
331  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Give me advises about bitcoin maining on: June 30, 2016, 01:19:36 PM
You should maybe buy some old cheap miners to see if you really have conditions and knowledge to run these kind of hardware. It would be a shame if you spend hundreds of $ just to see that it's not what you expected. You could also try to mine alt-coins with your Cpu or Gpu (this simple experiment might be interesting if you have never mined anything and you could still exchange them for bitcoins).
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing big really happened on: June 30, 2016, 01:15:16 PM
Stability can also be a big step forward. Bitcoin has proven it has a steady offer keeping its price for a long amount of time. Plus it now has a total valuation bigger than some companies traded in the biggest stock exchange. Mass adoption didn't happen (yet) but things are still going well for bitcoin.
333  Economy / Services / Re: [Bitcoin Game Tools] Features: MyBitMine Account Calculator on: June 30, 2016, 09:24:38 AM
Ultra's Tools

Note: I will only makes stuff for websites that have a decent reputation.

The reputation of such websites usually don't last long  Grin
You should try to make a website, it would be easier to navigate, you could monetize (with ads) and if you're really good you could allow members to login and update their information. The problem is that you would have to work on it all the time, because these "investment" websites are always closing and opening.
334  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We need a slither.io with bitcoin on: June 30, 2016, 09:17:31 AM
The agario bitcoin game was like a faucet for good players. You had to be among the first few players to get some coins, the concept was nice, but I'm not sure the idea would last on the long term since most players will never get anything.
335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: June 30, 2016, 09:14:46 AM
What are the best investment opetions for bitcoins to be put into?
Please post here!
for me the must trusted site is no investment hashocean. He or she is paying. so better if you dare to invest want to BTC
I don't invest in hashocean because I am an intelligent investor, I carefully evaluate my investment and I select the best industry. I put big money on gambling sites and ICO for altcoins.
Is mining never profitable ? If the organisation gives proof of their installations (pictures of their miners for instance), it might be profitable without much risk. But of course, some obscure ugly website promising 200% a day from an infallible martingale method might not be the best investment  Grin.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next most demanding cryptocurrency and blockchain feature? on: June 30, 2016, 09:07:47 AM
With the success of bitcoin and ethereum, I am wondering what could be the next most demanding cyptocurrency and blockchain feature? I will compile and summarize the answers here as well.

Aside from Ethereum it would be Onecoin. It is in the top five already and as of now onecoin have their own atm cards and credit cards which can be used to purchase things on establishments. Though their operation is not in the big scale yet, Onecoin displays a big promise of success. Unlike bitcoin, onecoin is at advantage except for the current price.
Well the price is a consequence of the trust people have in bitcoin, so the price might be a good indicator of the reliability of one coin (even if it is not the only factor that should be taken into account).
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I prove I'm Satoshi Nakamoto? on: June 30, 2016, 08:57:24 AM
Its easy actually, you just need to sign a message from the address holding that 1.000.000 bitcoins you are holding supposedly but since you are asking here, I guess you are not Satoshi and Gavin and Craig Wright are also not Satoshi and the latter one just ashamed himself with his latest lie that he was indeed satoshi.

Unless there is no signed message from the address holding 1 mln coins no one will believe anyone claiming he/she is satoshi. A simple proof can make him reveal his identity but since he has not opted to reveal himself so far, I think he will like to stay that way anonymous.

You seriously think Satoshi's coins are all put into a single wallet containing 1,000,000BTC? He was mining and receiving his 50BTC block rewards on different addresses. Which basically means that the majority of his wealth in Bitcoin sits in many many thousands of wallets containing 50BTC each.
The sad thing is that he may not even be able to convert or use his coins. Imagine if tomorrow, one of the genesis addresses spends some coins. It would mean that 1'000'000 coins were injected into the bitcoin ecosystem. The price would crash since much more bitcoins are available (they were considered as lost).

If satoshi spents some money, he might create one of the biggest crisis in the bitcoin ecosystem.
338  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much do you earn per day on: June 30, 2016, 08:52:04 AM
Im curious  because im earning 0.005 per day , Im curious if it is a bit low. If it is a bitlow i will find another way to earn bitcoin again
I do not make Bitcoins every day and I am sure that no one really does, you can win them with gambling but if you just are buying and selling then you are not going to make Bitcoins every day.
That is why you cannot rely on the Bitcoin to be a main income.
That's not true you can earn bitcoins everyday but not a whole one. If you joined signature campaign and there you can earn bitcoin daily like if you have a member rank you can earn up to 0.0026 per day and i'm sure that is good amount to earn because it's a lot better than doing faucet or gambling because in both of them there are no assurance on how big will you earn.
I agree, don't bother with faucets. They are a waste of time. In this moment the best investment you could make is maybe to buy another bitcointalk account and subscribe to another signature campaign. It can be boring sometimes, but it's the best way to win some bitcoins at the moment.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Will halving affect gambling sites ? on: June 30, 2016, 08:47:24 AM
I think the halving will not affect the gambling sites and the price of bitcoin also will not affect the gambling sites. Because halving and gambling is different thing.
It will affected to bitcoin gambling world, but nor directly.
With the halving day coming and push the bitcoin price it can make more businessman interested to build a new casino.
And sure they build a casino to earn bitcoin that increases during and after halving day.
If bitcoin price increases, the average betted amount should decrease. People still depend on their day to day jobs so they will bet according to Bitcoin price.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: June 30, 2016, 08:44:11 AM
If you want to invest safely you can either invest in a dice site like someone said it before, or you can invest it in bitfinex which gives you a small but daily interest (compounding to 5% a year I think, but it depends on the period of time you're investing). Take a look, there are not many trust-able investing websites these days, ponzis are probably easier to make... Smiley
