Long-term liquidity staking program launched

Dear Tofu community,

We’re happy to announce that today we have launched a long-term TOFU staking program to make TOFU more available to the public. New trading pairs have been added to TofuSwap: USDD/TRX, USDC/TRX, TUSD/TRX, BTT/USDD, TOFU/USDD, TOFU/SUN and others. A total of 12 Tofuswap pairs will participate in staking, along with the SUNSWAP-TOFU-TRX pair.

This program will continue for three years, until October 29, 2026.

Total of 36,720,000 TOFU tokens will be distributed among the participants.

Airdrop to Tofuswap users

Any user who used a regular account address (not a smart contract address) to interact with the Tofuswap router contract prior to September 31st, 2023 will receive either 1000, 2000, or 5000 TOFU credited to their account address. Users who made 20 or more successful Tofuswap transactions will receive 5000 TOFU. Addresses with 10 to 19 interactions will receive 2000 TOFU. All other users who used TofuSwap will receive 1000 TOFU.

257000 TOFU tokens will be distributed this way.

Airdrop to early supporters of the project

Many people supported development of the project during its initial stage. To show gratitude, we decided to send early supporters 50 times more tokens than they initially received. As we move forward, we hope to continue to earn your confidence and support with our work.

Distribution via long term staking program

To encourage people to use TofuSwap protocol we will renew our liquidity staking program. Over the next three years, approximately 40 million tokens will be distributed through this initiative. Further information will be released at a later date.

Hi, everyone! We fixed SafeMoney selling issue. We made some changes to the TofuSwap interface. Now it shows warning that SafeMoney charges 10% fee on any transfer and also automatically increase slippage tolerance on 11% to make it possible to sell it. After providing liquidity you should stake you LP tokens on staking contract. You can do it easily on by opening “Earn” link in the menu and click on "Deposit" button.

At the moment $100 of staked liquidity in TOFU/USDT pair will give you about $2 per day, $100 in TRX/USDT pair will give you $2.05 per day and $100 in DICE/USDT will give you $5.25 per day.

Interface was tested for main features including TOFU discounts and seems to be fine, but we may change some design elements. For full release we need to work on network communication part because now we partially rely on third party infrastructure and would like to remove such dependency.

We created trading pairs for every token in the list with TRX and USDT and put some minimal liquidity for testing. Also we created ETH/BTC pair and may create some other token to token pair if it will be requested by community.

Anyone can add liquidity to existing pairs, your funds will be safe.

What next?

We are going to launch TOFU pool staking by mid May. It means that people will be able to stake their Tofuswap liquidity tokens to earn TOFU. Meanwhile, we are working on TofuBridge v1.0.

Token Sale stage 2 will be closed on May, 10. After that we will stop selling TOFU tokens for some time. We’d like to find out TOFU’s price for stage 3 through price discovery mechanism. It means that people will be able to buy TOFU only on “secondary market” or by providing liquidity for Tofuswap and staking their liquidity tokens. This price discovery can take up to one month.

What is Tofuswap Factory contract?

It’s the core contract of Tofuswap infrastructure. It is used to create trading Pairs on Tofuswap pool.

What is the main focus of Tofuswap?

Main focus of Tofuswap is cost-effective automated TRC20 token exchange on the TRON network. Right now the most popular token exchange platform on TRON is Justswap. It’s a great platform, but it works only with trading pairs to native platform token TRX. It means that if you want to exchange BTC token to USDT token on Justswap, it will exchange BTC to TRX first and then exchange TRX to USDT token. Even though it will happen in one transaction and energy effective, you will have to pay 0.6% fee (0.3% BTC/TRX pair and 0.3% USDT/TRX pair). With Tofuswap you will pay 0.3% or lower depending on what how much TOFU you have.

Let’s compare fees if you want to exchange 1000 USDT to BTC assuming that exchange rate are the same. In case of Justswap you will pay 0.6% fee (6$) + spend 80k energy or about 11.2 TRX which is about 0,7$ in the moment of writing. With Tofuswap you will pay 0.1–0.3% fee (1–3$) + 10 trx for energy which is about 0.6$ now. So your fee will be significantly lower*.

*Of course you should consider slippage and liquidity, because it also affects your trade, especially for large amounts.

How to get discount on Tofuswap?

If you have TOFU you can trade with lower fees compared to standard 0.3%. Depending on how many TOFUs you have you can get these actual discounts:

100 TOFU — 0.25% trading fee (16,66% discount)
1000 TOFU — 0.2% trading fee (33,33% discount)
10000 TOFU — 0.15% trading fee (50,00% discount)
100000 TOFU — 0.1% trading fee (66,66% discount)

To get discount you will have to “freeze” you TOFU with TofuFreezer contract.
