101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 18, 2020, 03:02:07 PM
I think it depends on the transaction desity.
When the price of ETH is high, you'll need more fee per transaction.

It's not only about price of ETH, it's also about current network load and network's ability to process transactions.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to recovery Tron TRX in my wallet? (I have the key!) on: December 18, 2020, 02:56:58 PM
You seems to have confused something.

If you have a private key, you sure you got it from Coinbase or Binance? They dont have such option.

The name you post "UTC--2018-03-25T10-15-56.426Z--XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" and mentioning "json file" makes me think that you are speaking about https://www.myetherwallet.com/. There, when creating a wallet they give you option to enter you wallet by using combination of "json file + password". And also show you wallets private key (just in case).

I've checked my pile of files and my files that start with "UTC--20..." are from https://www.myetherwallet.com/.

You can find additional info about json file here, but based on filename, I'm 200% sure MyEtherWallet is what you are looking for.

If it's MyEtherWallet I consider frankge973 had TRON ERC20 tokens and I doubt he will be able to convert them into TRX.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will we ever get another 7th Jan 2018 Alt Season? on: December 17, 2020, 02:21:27 PM
Of course we will.

Right now BTC rises because institutional money get in. Why? Because they are afraid of too much printing from governments. But sooner or later they will look for other crypto assets to put money in because bitcoin will become overvalued.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 17, 2020, 01:57:04 PM
Found this screenshot today:

Poor guy spent already 1 ETH for transactions and still haven't achieved what he wanted...That is not what we all awaited from ETH 2.0.
This is a strong punch on Ethereum blockchain reputation. You can forget with arbitrage for a long time with such speed and prices. Something must be done by Buterin, otherwise his blockchain will face death or ignorance.

It's sad, but it provides an opportunity for other smart contract chains.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bnb is cheaper faster then eth and btc on: December 17, 2020, 01:54:08 PM
To be cheaper is not enough to be a good project. BNB is cheaper because no one is using it

Not only because of that. They use Tendermint consensus for Binance Chain and PoSA for Binance smart chain. This allows them to process transactions in more effective way.

But any chain which depends too much on support from one exchange is less trustable than Bitcoin or Ethereum.

TRON has a good balance between TPS capacity and decentralization.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 17, 2020, 01:42:45 PM
There are many issues that cause eth gas fees to rise. but this will not last long, maybe in the future everything will return to normal for the gas fee
can you guarantee it all? I hope it happens as soon as possible. in fact many rumors say that if ETH 2.0 is released it will reduce the problem of expensive gas costs but after its release it does not affect at all. eth gas costs are still high.

Ethereum 2.0 will be launched in several stages. Right now they launched zero stage (Beacon chain) on mainnet. They need to launch another three stages (Phase 1, Phase 1.5 and Phase 2) to enable payments on new PoS chain. I think it will take a year or even more to do so.

Meanwhile, TRON already work on quite effective Delegated PoS consensus mechanism and have all features of Ethereum.  Smiley

You can try to import your private key here:

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TofuDeFi - Trade and stake Ethereum assets on TRON on: December 17, 2020, 01:26:56 PM
Announcement!

We start private sale of TOFU tokens. At this stage we can offer 2,500,000 tokens for private sale (total) with discount from 30% to 40% depending on your amount.

Minimal amount is 200,000.

If you are interested please send an email to info@tofudefi.com.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 16, 2020, 01:25:17 AM
maybe because of the large number of users who make transactions on uniswap, lately eth gas costs are very expensive and most of them make transactions on the uniswap network. but I believe that someday the cost of eth gas will go down, it's only a matter of time.

No it won't. At least in the near future until Ethereum 2.0 will become main Ethereum chain. So meanwhile I suggest to use TRON. It's much cheaper.

Of course, the Tron block chain is faster and their charges are very less, but every coin is not listed in Tron. Even though ETH fees are high but many people are still spending their money and buying their desired coin, the previous 6 months were very crucial for the ETH because their fee seems to be very high.

Yes, you're right. That's why we've started our TofuDefi project which aims to solve this issue. If people will be able to trade Ethereum tokens on Tron it will benefit all players.
110  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will there ever be any monetary incentives to run a full node? on: December 16, 2020, 01:16:46 AM
If a SPV wallet doesn't implement checkpoints, it would theoretically be fairly easy to trick the SPV wallet by building an alternative chain. Since that chain is the only chain the client will see, it is assumed to be the longest valid chain. With a checkpoint system, the attacker will have to build the chain after the checkpoint which is significantly more difficult but will not require anywhere near 50% of the network's hashpower.

You see, the reason why 51% attack works is because it can generate valid blocks faster than the rest of the network. You don't need anywhere near 51% of the hashpower if you have all the time in the world. I can probably generate a block with enough POW in a few days if I purchase enough hashpower. I don't need to worry about someone else generating the block before me because the client won't be able to see it.

51% attack is about receiving coins on a wrong chain, not sending. So even if you will be able to isolate SPV wallet owner on a wrong chain how it will help to attack him?
It could trick them into believing they received coins via an invalid transaction.

Well, this is something very unlikely to happen. If we talk about regular user, transaction can be very easily checked on any block explorer which is hard to fake. Big players usually use more subtle tech than just SPV wallet/node.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: December 16, 2020, 12:56:31 AM
These are Ethereum ERC20 Token Smart Contracts, and there is another half to it, TRON TRC20 Token. The TRC20 is Free to make, and allows you to copy and part your ERC20 Solidity contracts into TronScan with just a few changes like your wallet address. TRON copied UniSwap and made JustSwap.

So, TRON and ETH are the main platforms, and there are currently several places to list your ERC20 Tokens on a DEX manually, but the ERC20 bar to entry is a little higher since it is not Free.

ERC20 is not only more expensive to create, but also much more expensive to use and there is no way for token owner to pay fees for its users which is possible in TRON.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 6 DeFi projects to watch in 2020 🎯 on: December 14, 2020, 12:53:32 PM
I do not think DeFi hype is over . If it would over then we wouldn't see too much hype on crypto like it is now. About PayPal supporting legit coins I am not sure if you have 100% over your wallet through PayPal . I do not think they allow withdrawal of crypto from their platform

Totally agree, it's not over, it's just started Smiley
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Listing on Uniswap on: December 14, 2020, 12:48:29 PM
On Uniswap, Do you know what happens to the price of the token when all of its initial amount gets bought? So if a startup puts on 100 of their token at $100 ether value total and it all gets bought, would that mean the pool now has 0 tokens and $200 ether value? What happens?

On UniSwap and any pool like that price depends on how many coins you want to buy. If you want to buy all coins from pool price will go almost to infinity (constant product rule). If you have Tron wallet you can check it on JustSwap (clone of uni) for TOFU token:

https://justswap.org/?lang=en-US#/scan/detail/trx/TTgnhmov3ezeUGxnfDdjvDt4WhNXDUD3bT

Click trade, put amount close to all current supply of TOFU in the pool and you will see that price is going to be thousands of TRX per TOFU instead of 6.83 TRX if you buy only one TOFU.

You can check that the same applies for UniSwap on their website.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Deflation - Inflation - Hyper Inflation & Interest Rates Questions? on: December 14, 2020, 12:31:42 PM
If you are going to nitpick, you need to know your facts. The U.S. government has the legal ability to mint coins. It's in its constitution.

Don't you remember a few years ago when people were proposing the idea of minting a 1 trillion dollar coin?

Maybe you are right. But when did they mint last time? I think that 99,9999% money supply comes from Fed.

117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season probably won't happen like the past? on: December 14, 2020, 11:08:26 AM
it was very good that you mentioned it. because until a few weeks ago I was thinking about it. Altcoins are a long way from reaching their ATH in relation to bitcoin and in US dollars

for example:

ETH managed to reach over $1200 when the price and bitcoin was $19000, today the price of bitcoin is at $19000 and the price of ETH is at $580

and has altcoins that the case is much worse. for example:

Bitcoin cash has reached more than $3500 and today is less than $280

Neo reached $150, today it's $18

It is clear that altcoins will not have the same price as the past

You should keep in mind that there was blockchain bloating problem with BTC at that time, fees were very high, so a lot of new people went to altcoins because of that. They were cheaper (more affordable for newcomers) and faster. I believe the same reason will lead people from Ethereum to TRON. And it can happen again with BTC as well.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why difference in Transaction fees on: December 14, 2020, 11:02:20 AM
As a newbie into cryptocurrency world, I understand up to a certain extent the reason for high or low transaction (gas) fees on mostly used blockchain network which is ethereum.
But a thing I find funny is doing a transaction almost at the same time on both tron link wallet and Klever wallet, a gas fee of just 1 tron was charged on tron link while Klever charged about 13 trx for the same amount of transfer at almost the same time. What can possibly be the reason for that?

Did you send the same token in both cases?
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PUTTING CONCENTRATION ON YOUR GAS FEE on: December 14, 2020, 10:42:12 AM
Putting concentration on your gas fee before confirming your transaction is as required as giving concentration on the certainty of the address you're sending fund to on ethereum blockchain of nowadays.

Ethereum is said to be getting moved into Ethereum 2 and care should be taken to avoid losing one's fund to just transfer of Little sum of funds just like we had it few months ago.

Use TRON and forget about high gas fees! Our project aims to move a lot of ETH and ERC20 tokens to TRON.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Govt. Lifts ban on Cryptocurrency on: December 14, 2020, 10:38:49 AM
Last week, India took another step towards legalizing bitcoin. India's two largest banks: Yes Bank and ICICI Bank have started allowing customers to use Bank accounts on cryptocurrency trading platforms. https://www.buyucoin.com/crypto-labs/indian-banks-rush-join-bitcoin-party/ - "Cryptocurrency users in India will be able to visit physical bank branches for crypto banking services and learn about cryptocurrency investments".

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
