525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Winklevoss COIN -- Will it even matter? And how much? on: November 04, 2014, 10:23:54 AM
The ETF will bring the price up. It will not just be a matter of more interest. It will be a way for large financial firms to include Bitcoin in their portfolios. They will consider it a high risk investment but many funds include a small amount of high risk investments in the mix.

I am a long term bull, I think the price will go up gradually over time but the ETF will bump it up quickly and then continue a gradual climb from there. Though if it causes hype it might jump up very quickly and bubble/pop again.

I think the ETF was partly priced in but the long wait has caused people to move their money out and put it toward other things.

I would say late winter/early spring will be when the ETF is approved. They say it typically takes a year. The ETF was submitted last July but they re-submitted it in February.
I'm extremely pessimistic about the ETF, especially because of yesterday.

It's fun to watch traders killing any upward movement we have.

No, not really.

ok, i'm going to have to refine my conspiracy theory on the BearWhale.  he is a distraction.  i now think the main benefactor of a manufactured selloff was economic actor Pantera Capital.

So crazy that it might actually be true.

At least the price went up a bit today, nice opportunity to make some profit while finding the bottom Tongue
Has anyone calculated the mass of coins that were dumped in the past days? Sometime soon the dumpers hopefully run out of coins...

Yes, the best advice to give at this point. Make sure to dump straight on the new people who just bought some coin. That is very motivating and for sure will bring the price back up.
You traders are either extremely greedy and don't give a shit about Bitcoin or totally clueless.

"The price went up a bit. That's great. Make sure to take it down right away again".
Cheap coins dude.

Enrolment should always be open!  Otherwise someone could miss out on big profits by selling/buying between enrolment periods.

I think the point was that it is a limited availability.

The coins should be limited, the enrolment period not.

The limited space is the whole point of the profits program.
Wouldn't be very profitable otherwise.

I got many PMs regarding the infamous coinmarket cartel.

I managed to infiltrate their IRC and I could unmask some of their leaders.
Seems like their highest leader is the charismatic "CryptoCobain" ( https://twitter.com/CryptoCobain)
I don't know much, I only know that they have an incredible amount of Bitcoin, which is used to control the whole Altmarket.
More to follow soon.

lol.
