1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: December 15, 2021, 03:23:36 AM
I think most investors often lose money because of fear particularly it happens to new investors.like take coins investors as example. They always sell their coins when the market is going down or the particular coin they invest in is dumping.but they don't know that is not the right time to sell but few losses because they invest all their money  and anytime they have financial problem go there to sell some of coin they invest in,and some people don't have target and anything you are doing once you don't have target that means you are also ready to fail, always try to have target.
In  addition, investors often lose money because they are more on gaining quick profits and they tend to forget that patience is the best virtue in an investment. They are carried easily by their emotions so they always create decisions without anticipating if the timing is right or not. All these fall having lack of knowledge on how to become a profitable investor.  If they will always go investing by not having the right mindset, then they will never be totally profitable in an investment no matter how they long they are investing.

When a person's emotions control thinking and rationality, 90% of the decisions made are wrong. At this time, what the brain thinks is often actions that the hands cannot make. This is also the rule of the game. Without these people, there would be no market liquidity.
2  Other / Meta / Re: Do You Believe a New Forum Software Will Attract More Users to Bitcointalk? on: December 15, 2021, 03:19:32 AM
Imagine if there is no bounty program in the forum and no profitable section, will there be more people here? For me who are not interested in the progressive plan, I prefer the atmosphere of TEITTER, and more free conversations are done on the telegram. Of course there is DISCORD, which is relatively popular now
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: September 22, 2021, 03:18:04 AM
We have etherum bossing altcoins since time past and there has been non replica of any coin that has tried bossing etherum
Just like bitcoin is a king on its own, etherum remains a king on its own too.

Looking forward to the influence of bnb tokens, and okb tokens can have on etherum dominance.

Yeah it is of a truth that ethereum has been dominating the altcoin section for a long time, but I could remember sometimes that Ripple has also tried to overtake ethereum, although this wasn't lasted more than few hours.  There are also other altcoins that are doing well, for example Stellar.  Ethereum needs to continuing developing/improving, otherwise overtaking is very possible.

The burden on the Ethereum network is getting heavier and heavier. The public chain of Ethereum is congested and competing for resources. I don't deny the value of Ethereum, but I currently appreciate the Polkadot created by the former Ethereum CTO. For poor places, there is a saying that sounds like a joke, if you want to be rich, you must first build roads. Polkadot has done a lot of work to make the logic smooth, and the projects and improvements can be implemented normally. I'm talking about the current parachain slot auction. I feel so wonderful. So Polkadot will surpass Ethereum.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KIN (KIN) a good project ? on: September 22, 2021, 02:54:32 AM
I'll always look not only the white paper but also the community, what the communities feedback reaction and perspective about the product, project with good features and whitepaper has nothing to do without the cooperation of the community, sometimes project without clear vision and features got the good spot in the market it is because they've got the support of the community vice versa.

I agree that the community will be an important criterion for judging a good project, and the ability of cryptocurrency is born out of consensus. Community governance tokens will be the next outlet. I believe in this, just like Polkadot. In addition to the security of the relay chain, the concept of community governance will lead the next wave of trends and enthusiasm.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to the crypto market now? on: September 22, 2021, 02:39:46 AM
This is a normal adjustment. It is very likely that some profitable people will sell their bitcoins and turn them into cash. Because everyone invests in Bitcoin for the purpose of making money. Although many people did not make a profit, the reason is very simple. The level of belief in recharge is different.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: China cracking down innovation on: September 09, 2021, 07:02:12 AM
I think the crackdown taken by the Chinese government with Alibaba is a form of the existence of a regulator on an object that should comply with policy but because it has become a very large multinational company and dominates the Chinese economy, it makes the owner a little arrogant.  Jack Ma's arrogance by offending financial regulators in China made the government even more annoyed.  Their particular case is in a communist country where they have to comply with all existing policies even if they are not in accordance with the company, this is the weakness of the communist socialist economic system.
In China, everything must comply with government laws and regulations. This is the basic principle. There is no right or wrong. If you are not a public figure, you are still very free to speak. Freedom does not mean spreading rumors.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Story of Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 09, 2021, 06:38:48 AM
Your writing ability is still okay. Satoshi Nakamoto’s story can be written as a novel. You are the protagonist. I suggest you write a serialized novel. I guess there will be some fans. You will get some material encouragement. See you. The article, thinking of many years ago, I often received some emails. The content of the email is roughly that his account is frozen, which requires dozens of dollars to unfreeze, and then there will be a high return.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin called “Bitcoin”? on: September 09, 2021, 06:10:11 AM
I must admit that i am still involving with banking system but not to the extent of my own funds are there because couple years ago i already withdrawn all
my funds in banks and transferred all to crypto and 40% into business.

though funds for my children remains inside banks because i want them to decide when time comes what to do on those funds,
and also i want assurance once there is something happen bad, at least they will still have funds to survive.

I think no one really knows about it and it will not make any difference if it was a little different name everyone only cares about growth of the bitcoin.
Of course none of us really knows what is behind it, But OP at least give a close idea on how the name might be taken.

There is no love and hate for no reason. Why did Satoshi Nakamoto name it Bitcoin? There must be a reason, and what we care about is not this, but what it can bring us? What can I use it for? Why can it be used? that's enough.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: What make people panic sell? on: September 09, 2021, 05:55:54 AM
Panic selling is because investors have been unable to bear losses due to falling prices or wrong trend choices (contracts), which is the end of the stop loss. At this time, because the panic in the market is getting higher and higher, the consideration at this time is not to increase the margin, but to sell at no cost. If there is no panic selling, institutions will not have a chance to get a lower price of Bitcoin. So this is a normal phenomenon caused by Bitcoin. Therefore, the investment plan must be done well, the heart must be strong, and patience must be sufficient.
10  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism as a result of cultural differences on: September 09, 2021, 04:01:40 AM
5. MOST importantly, I have a proposal that to every newbie, there should be a warning "Do Not Copy/Paste other people’s work without Citing". This warning will remain at the top of the newbies page immediately after the menu bar. Maybe until the newbie will become a Jr member before it can be removed.
Many good ideas have been proposed already, including welcome messages of various forms, but nothing is happening on that front.
I think KingDen's idea is a pretty good one myself, and suchmoon suggested something very similar recently:

If a simple sentence was added to the "Post reply" / "Start new topic" page next to the "Post" button, e.g. "don't make low value unnecessary posts and make sure to add links/quotes if you copied text written by someone else", I think that would significantly help users who don't really intend to plagiarize, but perhaps don't know (cultural differences and whatnot) that unreferenced copypasta is not cool, or forget to format it properly.

If either suggestion were implemented, newbies would have absolutely no excuse and no grounds for appeal if they posted someone else's words without crediting them.  And given that the problem is extensive and has been going on for so long and that it would probably be an easy thing to do, why not do it?  Seriously, how much coding would Theymos or whoever have to do to insert a warning like that?

There are many solutions, I guess it will affect some of the rights, they do not welcome this kind of improvement.

There are always more solutions than difficulties. Bitcoin is derived from consensus. In fact, it is completely based on the trust in the Bitcoin white paper and economic model, as well as the underlying technology of the blockchain, but in the Bitcoin forum, don't test humanity.

As long as you are a person, you have selfishness. Don't say how noble you are, I won't listen.

For decentralized Bitcoin, there is also a semi-centralized Bitcoin forum. It is not difficult to formulate the rules of the game, the key is whether it affects the interests of some people. I don't want to mention the name. I hate them.

Ratimov once said that this forum only has 10% original content, including himself of course. The others are all quotes. This is not a small probability event, especially the quotes of some pictures. If calculated based on plagiarism, then the forum will be closed directly.

All the problems are only superficial. The essence is that because some people are more influential in the forum, they like the power in their hands, and they are not considering the problem from the perspective of the development of the forum. The forum’s freedom of speech is not real from time to time. I am not slandering their efforts, but I do not approve of their actions.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal for Pokapoka124 on: September 09, 2021, 02:44:21 AM
Plagiarism is an unforgivable thing in this forum, no matter who it is. In the Bitcoin forum, you can have no original articles, as long as you indicate the source. Just like Ratimov. I want to say a swear word, rubbish regulations. I am not challenging the administrators or moderators, but I think this will kill some people's enthusiasm. Bitcoin forum has a lot of attractions to me. What the forum hates is scammers. Compared with plagiarism, I hate some bounty hunters, especially the TWITTER standard will pay attention to each other 100%. Can we focus on the key points and don't get entangled in what we do. The only criterion for judging whether it is a scammer is whether to defraud the bounty and forum members' money. Bounty programs and signature events increase the difficulty of participation. You cannot participate in precipitation without time.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism: Where Do We Draw the Line? on: September 07, 2021, 05:46:56 AM
Plagiarism destroys one’s reputation, the penalty is an immediate ban of the user. IMHO many newbies tend to plagiarise because they don't read the rules and guidelines.
“No idea is completely new, only evolving” Many writers get ideas and inspiration from other writers, but you cannot copy a chunk of sentences from another writer word for word without being accused of plagiarism. Paraphrasing doesn't help either. Plagiarism can be accidental or intentional. Example of intentional plagiarism is when a post is written in one language is rewritten in another and posted in local board without citing the original poster. I don’t quite know where the forum stands on accidental plagiarism. When newbies ( I use newbies as a case study because I believe they are more likely to plagiarise although I do not have the stats to prove that) are interested in a particular topic they gather all sorts of information, this may eventually cause problems distinguishing between common knowledge, facts and information that needs citation.
In fact, in a sense, all our speeches and the knowledge we have learned are the summaries of our predecessors. This is the result of our childhood learning, including some technical language, when we are expressing our views. Is this plagiarism? The definition of plagiarism should be copied throughout. If you say a few celebrities, you will be judged plagiarism, which is a bit nitpicking. Plagiarism is prohibited and originality is encouraged. There is nothing wrong with it. I have no objection to banning accounts because of plagiarism, but I am a bit unacceptable because of the bones in the skin of the egg.
13  Other / Meta / Re: [Banned appeal] on: August 29, 2021, 03:31:49 AM
If you don't like the lack of warmth, you're free to leave.  You're also free to stay, but hopefully merit sources and other members will take note of Ratimov's thread and put most, if not all, of you on ignore so you don't progress to the point of being a bounty hunter farm.

Take me home ,country road.

Your ridicule can't stop me from moving forward, John Denver, a soul singer who specializes in architecture (the ridicule made him a country music star). One can be confident, but arrogance is a shame.

You only represent yourself, you think too much.
14  Other / Meta / Re: What is your favorite post or most memorable moment on this forum? on: August 29, 2021, 03:08:43 AM
I haven’t been in the forum for a long time, and I am also busy with my work. The actual work is not smooth, but I have been recognized in the forum. I feel that this is an unforgettable moment.

This is a post I like, you can ignore the author. The story scene is what I like, and I hope to see it all the time in the future.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5348182.0

This article, I feel everyone’s love for the forum.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5349708.0

There is nothing wrong with making money. What I want to ask is what valuable things did they do for the forum? I can't figure it out, maybe I will also participate, but I will be more real.

Check the history of posting, from the beginning to the end, it is a bounty program. I was impressed and speechless.
15  Other / Meta / Re: [Banned appeal] on: August 29, 2021, 02:11:41 AM
@LoyceV thank you for your trust in me.
You got this wrong, I don't trust you (or most people on Bitcointalk for that matter).
This is what most newcomers don't understand: trust is a very fragile thing here, and speaking for myself, nobody here is a friend of mine no matter how nice I treat them.  I might respect some members and even like them, but at the end of the day I don't know anybody here in real life and every member is just an anonymous forum personality.  One slip up can lead to a neg being given or an exclusion from my trust list--and I bet I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

Typically, if a plagiarism ban is lifted, it comes with a 1 or 2 year ban on wearing a signature.
I can accept it comes with a 1 or 2 year ban on wearing a signature. I can accept this punishment. Because I don’t currently have the idea of participating in the autograph campaign.
You'll have to accept it, if that's the outcome.  LoyceV isn't a moderator and therefore doesn't speak for the forum.  Right now you're banned and can only post in this thread (or another ban appeal thread relating to your account).

Should such newcomers who contribute to the forum be directly banned?
Lol.  That's all I have to say to that.

This kind of chattering argument has no meaning. The Bitcoin forum is a forum without warmth.

As the pharmacist said, I have no friends. What I do is not really express my heart. I am in this forum with a mask and black eyes. It's like a prostitute. Suddenly one day I am no longer a whore. The pharmacist will say, you will always be a prostitute. Don't change, and you can't change until the priest is next to you and tells you to rest in peace.

When you speak and do things are not from your heart, I don't know if you will really consider what is most beneficial to the forum.

Since trust here is not worthwhile, and trust is a very fragile thing, what are you looking for here? Sense of presence, participation, accomplishment? You are the birthplace of the biggest lie.

I will not say anything, especially to you, my last sentence: God will forgive everyone, even a wicked person, who are you? @pharmacist.

Satoshi Nakamoto is trustworthy. The Bitcoin forum is derived from consensus. You don’t value trust. What are you doing here?@pharmacist.

Quote
Lol.  That's all I have to say to that.
16  Other / Meta / Re: My Dream Bitcointalk Forum on: August 27, 2021, 09:06:45 AM
OP, I know you stated what your motivations for making this thread are, but the whole thing just comes off as an attempt to earn merits.  Maybe I'm getting even more jaded about these kinds of threads (including the self-congratulatory ones when members rank up), but I'm starting to become a lot more careful about newer members and what their real motivations likely are--especially after threads like this one.

@Kingsden, if your content does not appear before the thread mentioned by the pharmacist, you will still receive everyone’s support and merits, but I am also in a state of confusion. I show good to others (giving merits). I Has been dragged into a swamp, the harder you work, the more you sink.

The forum has been developing for 12 years. The early members of the forum are tired of the "naive" argument of newcomers, or we are not people of the same era, for our personality , They don’t understand or don’t like it directly. We are good at expressing, we highlight individuality, we respect the "old man", the forum you dream of is not what they want, our opinion equals our qualifications.

I'm not targeting someone, and I'm not showing someone a favor. Freedom is relative, and there is no absolute existence. As long as there is human nature, there will be no objective expressions. It is the subjective expression of everyone. From another perspective, I also understand the occurrence of such things.

I am an ordinary person, and my purpose is very simple, to grow fast, earn money to support my family, and grow up with my children. Because I don’t believe that the people here are noble and elegant. Ratimov used to be full of swear words and full of anger, but I admit his talent. All I can do is I don’t agree with what he said about me.

Sometimes, we are not gold, and there is no way to make everyone like it, and I am not a flatterer, always saying that others like to listen. I have been in the forum for a while, and I gradually adapt to the forum. I will not ask others to adapt to me.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: August 25, 2021, 08:25:41 AM

Now the question is, for how long you will keep holding the other 95%? do you have a nice goal to chase?

No goal. I just use Bitcoin as part of my general portfolio for diversification.

I plan to keep at least 50% long term.

However, I am worried about the electricity use of Bitcoin. If, for example, Bitcoin were to replace the dollar as the world's reserve currency, it would need twice the amount of energy the world currently produces (or something like that).

My OP is essentially advising people to stay diversified with their investments, and don't be afraid of rebalancing.

Congratulations, you have a clear investment plan. This is a great practice. It can be seen that you are not a person who puts eggs in a basket. I think you should write more about your investment experience, whether for newcomers or For those who do not understand investment plans, this can be a good guide.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Oi you pieace of Crap mods on: August 25, 2021, 07:00:59 AM
I think so too. The great Leo Tolstoy once said that no matter how great a writer is, he is only writing one-sidedly. We must also learn to accept the opinions of others. I am not a person who likes to quarrel with others. The right attitude is to stand the test of time. I believe in time.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin mining isn’t a waste of energy? on: August 24, 2021, 05:51:49 AM
why bitcoin mining doesn't waste energy,?? bitcoin requires energy in mining, actually every energy released by bitcoin is not wasted in vain, not the same as people who play games, who spend energy in vain, because we know everyone those who want to do mining will definitely spend a large amount of capital,

I don't think Bitcoin mining is a waste of resources. In fact, it is very light. For example, the US dollar. It is undeniable that the US dollar is valuable. No one would say that printing US dollars is a waste of resources of cotton and linen.

It is the electricity bill that guarantees the value of btc.

It is military spending that guarantees the value of the dollar.

Some things cannot be escaped. I fully believe that military expenditures are greater than electricity expenditures.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: August 24, 2021, 03:43:39 AM
Scammers are swindling bitcoins from the common man by deceiving them in various ways. In fact, they are various businessmen in disguise He is copying the celebrity's account and taking dollars in the name of giving profit. It is always better to keep yourself away from these fraudsters.

Nowadays it is very easy to create fake accounts from popular celebrities, making fake videos and photos is also increasingly difficult to distinguish, this makes us always have to be aware that there are many scams, let alone many malicious programs from various sites and emails so we have to store bitcoin in special computer or laptop.

I don’t trust the machine. I’m used to write it in my notebook and find a safe place for him, or write it directly in my head. My memory is still good. Because I don’t have many bitcoins, Hackers or malicious programs are not interested in this little asset of mine.
