1  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BLOCKCHAIN.COM STOLE MY BTC: OFFERING REWARD on: December 19, 2020, 11:53:05 PM
Ok.

Another idea....

So I now have 2 Wallet IDs and ONE PASSPHRASE... right?

Ok.  So when I attempted  to "recover" my wallet via Blockchain.com I used my one and only 12 word PASSPHRASE... and it gave me a warning that a new wallet would be created.... oof.

Whence recovering my wallet it gave me access to a what looked like a new wallet and a ZERO balance....

So when I then go to access my OTHER WALLET ID from the one they sent me via my phone number back in 2013 it asks me to put in my password and then tells me to verifiy via email.... in which i NEVER receive an email.....

So... I've deduced that I have only ONE EMAIL, ONE PASSWORD, ONE PHONE NUMBER, ONE PASSPHRASE, and NO 2FA.......

Is it possible that when I "recovered" my wallet with my passphrase that it created a new wallet with that ZERO balance.  And I'm just not receiving verified emails from the WALLET ID that I have from my phone back in 2013 and it's not ACTUALLY RECOVERING MY COINS FROM MY OLD WALLET??

I've contacted customer service..... and it's a joke.

So any thoughts to this??

One day I go to my phone and see that my balance is 0.  And I'm like.... what? That's weird.
...
I tried restoring my wallet with no surprise yet again a ZERO balance, it doesn't even show transactions at all.
So you can still log in to your wallet, but you just see a zero balance? And you were able to restore your wallet from scratch and log in successfully, but again you see a zero balance? If you click on settings and then go to "Wallets & Addresses", you can go in to any individual wallets you have created and view the individual addresses. Look these addresses up on a block explorer - are any of them your address which held the 15-16 BTC?

Yes checked Wallets & Addresses and still no dice. Showed I didn't even have any transactions and only one address. We looked it up and still no dice.
It's the weirdest thing.

Try to look over the old addresses. Look into the old version archived of blockchain.come before these stupid updates.

I am telling you, i had 1k satoshi from 2014 and i found them on my wallet in 2019.

Is there a way you can lead me in the direction of the person that helped your friend via linkedin?

So.... Any thoughts there?
I think it is more likely that this Wallet ID leads to the correct wallet and addresses, rather than the correct addresses have somehow disappeared from your current Wallet ID. You are absolutely sure there were no other email addresses you used 7 years ago which you may have used to sign up to blockchain.com? And have you checked all your spam folders to ensure their email isn't being automatically filtered?

If this is the correct wallet ID and you no longer have access to the relevant email address, then again, their support are going to be the only people who can help you.

Well. That's the confusing thing about it.

When we set this up, we used 1 email to have anything bitcoin to be sent to, that same phone number is attached that account.

And I checked my balance THAT email obsessively with the coins in it. And poof.... one day it went to ZERO...

Weird right?  Like no transactions, no wallet addresses, except 1.

And you are absolutely sure the Wallet ID you have is the correct one for the wallet you mined coins to? It would be highly unusual for the correct wallet to just "delete" or otherwise remove addresses from it, but all things are possible when it comes to the technical incompetence of blockchain.com.

Presuming you have tried their various recovery tools and links which have been provided above with no luck, then the likelihood is that the only people who can help here are blockchain support. They will most likely try to palm you off with various generic emails. Often with awful crypto companies like these you have to make a fuss on social media, reddit, twitter, etc., before they finally pay attention to your case. They don't care about you or your coins, but they care about anything which might turn other people off and affect their profits.

Yes..... However.....

I do have a wallet ID that was sent to my phone number back in 2013 on a different phone that is completely different than the current WALLET ID that I have now.
Now when i try to access that it says enter a password.... I do that...

It then tells me to confirm my login via email.... guess what...

No email goes to ANY of my emails that I had access to then and now.....

So.... Any thoughts there?

Ok how do I look into the old version that is archived? Where would I find that?
Also, when I logged in there was only 1 wallet address and that was it and that was after it switched over to blockchain.com

Maybe you're restoring a different wallet id, have you thought of that?

That's what we thouht but we only used one email. No dice.

I know what you're going to say, so I'll say it for you.

Your loss. Should have put it on paper. Should have had a usb ledger. Should have put it on bitcore. You're screwed.....Blah blah blah..... Yeah, coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Here's my situation before you judge.

Opened this online wallet on BLOCKCHAIN.INFO back in 2013. For a few months we mined to this wallet. And we eventually accumulated about 15 or 16 BTC.
It sat forever.

One day I go to my phone and see that my balance is 0.  And I'm like.... what? That's weird.

I have my wallet id, I have my password, I have my seed to get the password that blockchain.info gave me in 2013, found out the hard way that this is NOT a passphrase for recovery.

Now I believe this is important:
It seems that when blockchain.info switched over to blockchain.com my old wallet went to 0.....

I tried restoring my wallet with no surprise yet again a ZERO balance, it doesn't even show transactions at all.

I have contacted the abysmal customer service via their website..... as you can imagine they were ZERO help.......

Has this happened to anyone else?

What I do NOT have is:
*BIP39 seed because they did not provide that back in the day.
*PRIVATE KEYS
*ACTUAL WALLET ADDRESS TO TRY TO TRACK ANY POSSIBLE TRANSACTIONS.

The only thing I have is what they issued me via blockchain.info.....

I can not find the email with the "wallet.aes.json" file, otherwise I would have attempted that approach to btcrecovery...

I'm staking a .5 BTC REWARD for anyone willing to help and successfully recovering this old wallet with the coin we mined. I'd say that this would be a nice $11,000 reward.

Thanks for any help or advice.
Cheers.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / BITCORE Mega-BTX on: December 10, 2020, 04:15:25 PM
Hey guys....

Been mining for sometime now.

I don't know if anyone can answer this question or not but here goes.

I have 6 gtx 1060 3gb cards.  We've been mining random alt coins at a very low rate (we know 3gb is about to be phased completely out very soon)....however....

On https://cryptorival.com/calcs/bitcore/#results I put in the mega hashes that our cards run with Bitcore Mega-BTX .... and low and behold we do get 45 m/hs and the reward payout for 24 hours should be at least 37 BTX.

Well thats not the case.

We've mined only .15 BTX in one day.......

Am I missing something here? I mean obviously we need to upgrade our system ASAP.... but with the hash rate we are getting we should be getting that 37 DAILY. right??

Any help is greatly appreciated!
