Here we go, everyone fill it in and we will see the outcome

http://strawpoll.me/2486721

I personally am fine trying to set it up but it is going to be a pain, and people will hate others for it.
I know for sure i will get a lot of hate for it
Thank you bigjme! Voted YES!!  We can makes this work, it won't be too hard , ...and its better than doing nothing about the reality of things we have been discussing.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: September 03, 2014, 09:46:57 PM
I'd be very much interested in something like this. While I can't code I feel like I could help with researching/keeping tabs on coins, helping others with technical stuff/tutorials and all that stuff as I'm not very busy lately. And I think people in a small circle would be much more appreciative regarding donations if they would have a slight edge over the general public even if it's temporary. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't wish to exclude anybody but the hot stuff always gets broadcasted rapidly through multiple channels reaching miners who never even posted here.
Yes, true. btw @bathrobehero you are one of the first people I remember when I got started in cryptos...kinda like my first "crypto hero" ..lol
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: September 03, 2014, 09:27:40 PM
Lmao :p
i think a lot of new members or those that don't talk much will hate the idea, dev's would get in instantly
May be a way to get donations though, like a donate x btc to get access, so those staking money will get the advantage

Seems a little cheeky and unfair but....

Well, this may not be taken well by some, but this "level the playing field" stuff is crap. This is a free market - no? So you will have people who can do the coding, who will choose to keep it to themselves for the profit. Good for them! It's all good. You have those who will share everything freely, and water down the market. Great - that's a nice thing to do. But it doesn't seem that there is much middle ground for those who don't have the technical abilities, but would be willing to "put their money where their mouth is", so to speak. I don't think you could make it exorbitant, but hey. I'd sure be willing to pay to make some money. People pay damn good money for a financial planner/adviser, or a stock broker. What's the difference here? You're paying for someone's ability to help you profit - right?

As I said, I know it won't be taken very well by some, but I think it's something that warrants discussion. Just my BTC.02

+1 Smiley exactly!

Makes sense really...Nvidia at this time only has a few distinct advantages over AMD, and when these larger farms, namely Chinese (Nvidia) super farms get ahold of miners its over. They already hold equipment pricing advantages so why give them another. And I'm not talking about every coin/algo that comes out, just the ones that matter, that give distinct advantage.

...and how could you know who's a big-cheese-chinese-superfarmer and who is not?

I doubt that anyone who has been here for a decent length of time or who participates here is one. The incentive to not sell to or give a superior miner to a "superfarm" would be to keep ones own advantage. Self preservation really, give away a watered down version to keep up the interest, something just a bit slower. It's not like it doesn't happen already. I just think organizing the strategy would be more profitable all around for those involved, miners and code writers alike.
Only way to become profitable again with all junk that is floating around. We keep talking low profits due to poorly designed coins/systems, this is one way to win it back.

no just spread it to those of us you know Wink
mega secret hidden section in cudamining.co.uk just for the elite group, away!!!!!!!
Not a bad idea really for those of us who have been in the forum for a long time. Apply for reg to "secret section" , check member posts for activity and reliability ( non coin abuser ) Incentive would be for those in, to "not talk about fight club" to retain profitability of advantage....crazy? Also would narrow down non donating users...right..? Those with history and specific advantage (whatever it might be) would be more likely to donate, thus reducing "bleeding" of advantage and therefore loss of reward overall to author of said advantage.......do I sound elitist... eh..oh well LOL

I kind of like the idea, tbh.

Honestly i have been contemplating it for a while now, even not just for an advantage but for some of us to share tips/ideas privately

I honestly think it's a great idea, with true merit. If this goes to a "vote", community-wise, you can count me as the first "yay!" lol!  Wink

Some large buy orders have been recently filled at AllCrypt.......wonder if it is the same person stockpiling? If so for what? Smiley I think if we could get a P2pool up and running it would be nice.
Keep it alive.

is their an amd card miner?

I do not know!
If the developer is online he will be able to answer your question

From what I understand about M7 (at least XCN's M7) there is no AMD GPU miner for it, at least not yet.
Check forums for XCN, hopefully I'm giving good info here.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][66] ★ Coin 66 ★ on: September 03, 2014, 06:45:12 PM
Nice....66 has been getting some good action lately...remember you can trade at rockytrade....

 https://rockytrade.net/index.php?page=trade&market=112

We should give it some action to show it is alive there as well....price is now comparable to coinswap.

Compiling the windows miner, even cpuminer is a headache right now.

I will help Nvidia test (will be using 750 ti's) as soon as we can get a windows compilation.... good work keep it up, almost there.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN-2nd TEST] [XMG] Magi | New POS-II | Most Secured Distr | Tor Anon | M7 on: August 31, 2014, 07:44:27 AM
Perhaps if you need help with Nvidia miner or windows compilation you could PM or request help from member "catia" ...

He wrote and compiled the windows M7 cudaminer for 1GH pool for XCN....

That was also advice from djm34 after speaking with him re: windows compilation, he said it can be tricky.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 31, 2014, 02:42:56 AM
Speaking of speculation.....what is the hashrate for BBR miner for 750ti's....oh and where can I find the link?...

And between XCN and BBR which is most efficient....I won't say profitable necessarily , however which of those two horses

wins a race using 750 ti's?

I re-deleted everything and created test conf......working now ....will test Nvidia mining options and advise

Will require Windows compiled version of the cudaminer that you have posted to test, please advise or can someone here put one together please, thanks

Is there a Windows compilation for the Nvidia miner that you have in the link??

Would love to test Nvidia mining, but unable to run/sync wallet form above post(windows build). Getting..... assertion error: File :src\main.cpp , Line 2661.....if ignore...same but   Line 487.....if ignore "error loading block index"  then wallet crash/close
Please advise!!
Also completely deleted appdata folder(from previous test release) in an attempt to allow test wallet to load fresh, this is when I got Line 2661 fault, was already getting Line 487 fault

I just tried in my another windows 8 machine, everything looks normal. Try these:

1) delete prior block data: simply delete the %appdata%\magi\testnet2 folder (backup wallet.dat there if needed)
2) make sure conf file: magi.conf lies in %appdata%\magi (not under testnet2), and having the content: testnet=1

Run the wallet again, if you get any issues, post the errors from the %appdata%\magi\testnet2\debug.log (not the whole file)
Same thing.............

Quarkbar keeps rising!

The price of Quarkbar keeps rising! We are happy to see so much buying support!

Hey JonesD how do you change the AllCoin dashboard to get this view format, lol, can't figure it?

I have contacts in the entertainment industry and have cobbled some thoughts for crypto utilization, whether it is QB or another for that matter. I do like QB’s longevity and algo, I believe it is all really a matter of implementation.

Thoughts on integration/use. Promote the use of QB for entertainment venue purchases, i.e. ticket sales, food and beverage and event merchandise.

This would be the pinnacle of use evolution and will take time and require an incentive for consumers to use QB.

Incentive to use could be derived from perceived discounts ...example 15-20% discount on purchases using QB vs USD at current market rates. This is easily manipulated by overpricing actual retail in USD. This is only one example.

Another approach is to utilize sponsorship monies to bridge a discount gap....i.e...QB gives discount (10-20% vs USD) and in turn affiliates with an event/product sponsor, part of sponsor monies go to purchase QB on market, effectively boosting market value and returning discounted percentage. There are easier ways to do this type of value exchange but the point is to create market support.

Consumers will want a platform that is easy to use. Most people don't own Bitcoin let alone know how to get it. So I say skip that step when it comes to paying with QB. Example:
"Pay with USD $20.....Pay with QB $17.50"

Obviously consumers will want to pay less in USD, the format they are familiar with. This is where the perception comes in on a consumer level, unlike you or I would see it, BTC/QB market comparison. We really only need to get $17.50 for our product, but if they want to pay in USD then fine, our gain.

The point is to get consumers, on a transactional level, to not really think about using a crypto as payment, the concept is still too foreign. That is like me paying you with wheat futures, its an equivalent transaction but too much thinking.

This integration/illusion could likely be done through (and I'm not a programmer so pardon me if I'm wrong) an internal live api market app USD/BTC/QB running in background at all points of sale keeping profit margins intact by adjusting pricing as necessary should it fall out of line. This can also create a sense of "I better buy now before the price changes."

On the BTC market side QB could gain public interest through any and all of it's venue participation by having trade, value and asset promotion links and market info available, that is to those that would have further questions/interest.

Rebranding and /or forking may also be an option to provide specialized shares for target market venues/products…. environmental conscious product/service….donation/cause based...special event...etc…

Just some grease for the thinking wheels...post or contact me directly if this is something that makes sense.

Very interesting points that make a lot of sense. We have been working on a market, but we are aware that a lot of effort would be needed to make the market itself popular.

Thinking about your points, it would perhaps be a less arduous road if we would try to work together with a website where loyal costumers get Quarkbar as a loyalty point. These points can be used later on to get discounts on products. It would be a cheap tool for the website to boost consumer loyalty and would increase the amount of trading of the coin.

What would you think of something like that?

I'm open to any number of ideas.... What are your thoughts on the website content that would attract or facilitate use?

I am sure there are many ways to go about generating use and anyone here is encouraged to brainstorm along...there

are no wrong ideas or answers Smiley
